Violent Black Lives Matter agitators disrupt peaceful WalkAway rally in Dallas – punch security guards

DALLAS, TX – On Saturday, WalkAway Movement founder Brandon Straka hosted a large, peaceful RescueAmerica rally in Dallas.  The rally was disrupted by violence from Black Lives Matter.

WalkAway is a grassroots movement established in 2018 by self-described former liberal Straka.  The movement supports those who seek to distance themselves from leftist tactics and policies.

Their website states:

“The WalkAway Campaign encourages and supports those on the Left to walk away from the divisive tenets endorsed and mandated by the Democratic Party of today.

“We are walking away from the lies, the false narratives, the fake news, the race-baiting, the victim narrative, the violence, the vandalism, the vitriol.”

The statement goes on to declare:

“We are walking away from a party driven by hate. We are walking toward patriotism and a new, unified America! We are the future of this great nation!”

The Rescue America rally was, in Straka’s words:

“To rescue America from radical leftists that are out destroying America’s cities and streets.”

Straka described the rally as a “HUGE hit.”

Dallas News estimated the gathering at 250 attendees.

Video shows a large crowd of people holding WalkAway signs, waving American flags, and chanting, “Walk away!”

The crowd gathered at Kyle Warren Park, then marched without incident to Main Street Garden downtown.

They were heard shouting:

“Hey, hey, ho, ho, Antifa has got to go.”

Speakers included Straka himself, who spoke of the left’s destructive actions, and of the erroneous characterizations of the right by the left.

He said:

“They want you to believe we’re a bunch of racists and homophobes.”

He continued:

“But I’m looking out and seeing black faces here. I’m seeing Hispanic faces here.”

Speaker David Harris, Jr., author of Why I Couldn’t Stay Silent: One Man’s Battle as a Black Conservative, asked the crowd:

“How many of you are tired of the lies?”

He added:

“You are the resistance to their lies. You defy everything they say about Donald Trump. We’ve got God on our side. We’ve got truth on our side.”

One attendee, Teri Masters of Dallas, told Dallas News that she was “dismayed by the looting and destruction” that characterized other protests.

She said:

“It’s time for the violence to stop.”

She went on to say:

“Innocent people are getting hurt.”

Speaking to the peaceful crowd, Straka echoed this sentiment, saying to those responsible for violent protests:

We’re here to let you know that your summer of rage has come to an end.

Sadly, Black Lives Matter counter-protestors had other ideas.

Video, shown below, shows a man, carrying a megaphone and wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt, scuffling with a security guard backstage at the rally.  The man is clearly seen to drive his fist into the neck of the guard, who then takes him to the ground.

Other agitators press in and attempt to prevent the security guard from detaining the man, while WalkAway demonstrators wrestle them away.  At one point, pepper spray appears to be deployed.

Another video, below, shows the man with the megaphone shouting and getting in the face of a rally attendee in a red, white and blue shirt, followed by a closer view of his fist in the neck of the security guard.

The BLM agitator with the megaphone was identified as Dominique Alexander, activist and President and founder of Next Generation Action Network, whose mission, its website states, is “to lobby for social change and equality for all.”

After the skirmish, Alexander was detained by Dallas police and reportedly shouted:

“Call Chief (U. Renee) Hall!”

Straka pointed out on twitter that this demand suggests a relationship with the Dallas Police Chief:

According to CBSLocal, Alexander was cited for his participation in the fight at the rally, but was also arrested on outstanding warrants and held at the central detention center in Dallas.

Also detained was the security guard that Alexander was seen attacking with his fist.

Straka told interviewer Eric Alvarez that the guard was detained for several hours and they were seeking his release, because “he was simply doing his job and keeping people safe.”

Naturally, supporters of both Alexander and the security guard desired release of their teammates, but the expression of that desire took on unsurprisingly different tactics.

Members of Straka’s group walked together to the location of the detained security guard, only to be met with violent resistance by multiple BLM members.

Straka called this episode:

“The most terrifying moment of my life.”

On Twitter, he stated that 30-40 BLM members were throwing projectiles and chasing his group.

Twitter video shows masked attackers wearing BLM shirts pushing and screaming at Straka’s group as they walk.

One person on the video reported,

“They’re attacking gay people.”

The Black Lives Matter activists, on the other hand, met with no opposition as they gathered at Dallas Police Headquarters to demand the release of Alexander.

According to CBSLocal, they blocked the nearby intersection.

Video shows the activists preventing cars from proceeding, with one woman shouting through a megaphone:

“Do not let them move!  Lock it down!”

One activist told CBSLocal:

“It [the intersection] will continue to stay shut down until his release.”

The activist also declared:

“He [Dominique Alexander] was not aggressive.  He was practicing his First Amendment freedom of speech.”

Evidently WalkAway and BLM have two very different points of view when it comes to First Amendment rights and “peaceful” expression.

LET Unity

Sadly, this is certainly not the first time Brandon Straka has been attacked by Black Lives Matter.

Here our a previous article on that.

For a group that claims words matter, they sure aren’t afraid to use theirs to attack people.

Just ask Brandon Straka, a gay Trump supporter, and founder of the #WalkAway movement.

He and a group of friends were verbal and physically assaulted after the RNC, and it was caught on video.

Be warned. What we are going to show is not for the compassionate and kind-hearted.

Black Lives Matter protestors are proving every day that their movement exists for a singular purpose: beating Trump, no matter what it takes.

Even if it means harassing people and being intolerant of just about everyone as they “seek equality”? Yep. Anyone standing in their way are merely “collateral damage.” There are only two prerequisites to becoming a target.

  1. Being a Trump supporter.
  2. Not giving in to their intolerant demands.

And you only have to meet one of them. But, meeting both allows them to intensify their hatred, harassment, and often times assault. No one is off limits. Elderly people and kids. Men and women. Black and white. Disabled. Gay and straight.

Thursday night showed us more evidence.

Multiple videos have surface of BLM protestors going after Trump supporters after the end of the Republican National Convention. And this one of Straka and his friends is just one of many.

The gay-bashing hatred being spewed in this video is hard to watch.

Straka said they were just walking down the street, minding their own business. But the protestors were justified in their assault, because after all, Straka and friends were Trump supporters. That is all the justification they needed.

And as usual, the mainstream media is silent. Why? Because they agree with this type of behavior being justified.

Listen again to the Tucker Carlson video in Straka’s tweet.

“He’s a f—–t.”

“He’s like your little b—h, right?”

“You want him to stick that little sausage in you?”

“He’s a Donald Trump supporter! He supports racism! F— you!”

But Straka did not take it lying down.

Watch the radio silence, as Straka calls it, from BLM activists when he asks them to denounce the attack.

He has called out BLM. He has called out the mainstream media. He has even called out the MSM who are also members of the LGBTQ community. He wants answers. He wants people to be held accountable.

And he isn’t going to compromise who he is and what he believes.

Brandon Straka, you are the type of person I would be glad to call a friend. Not because we agree on what should happen on November 3rd, but because we agree that this country is worth fighting for and we will not back down to a hateful mob hellbent on her destruction.
