Now Atlanta: police say vandals hit an ICE building as a “stand in solidarity” with Portland anarchists

ATLANTA, GA – Early Sunday morning vandals who claimed to ‘stand in solidarity’ with Freedom Fighters of Portland vandalized an ICE Field Office Building in the 180 Ted Turner Drive block.

The vandals swept through and smashed windows while spraying graffiti on the building.

The building is home to the Atlanta ICE Field Office. Other immigration federal offices including an immigrant court conduct operations as well.

The vandals left signs behind that read:

“No more peace” and “No cops, no ICE, no borders”.

Fox 5 News reporter Emilie Ikeda reported that the vandals attacked the building to pledge their support to stand in ‘solidarity’ with the ‘Freedom Fighters’ of Portland.

Protestors have recently clashed with federal agents guarding the Portland Federal courthouse. She also reportedly saw smoke bombs outside the ICE building Sunday morning.

Homeland Security police arrived Sunday morning to clear out the area and discovered damage to mostly the front of the building and a vacant building next to the ICE building.

Protestors chanted: “Black Lives Matter” while drums played in the background as they lit fireworks and threw them through broken windows to the building.

Fox 5 News reported the night was reminiscent of the vandalism of the Georgia State Patrol Headquarters in early July, when dozens of protestors gathered in formation at the stated building, banging drums, throwing fire-works and spray-painting the building causing significant damage.

Police are investigating the vandalism and roped off a portion of 180 Ted Turner Drive until the investigation is over. The Norfolk Southern building that is across the street was also vandalized.

Police are not sure of the cost of damage yet.

WSB-TV Atlanta 2 reported the vandalism began Saturday night with green lasers used to disable surveillance cameras. Governor Brian Kemp extended the State of Emergency order until August 24. The order was put in place after the incident at the Georgia State Patrol Headquarters and was supposed to expire on Monday, July 27.

Vandals tweeted a video and comments on Twitter by @AcidVandalism. The video displays the protestors yelling “Burn it down, burn it down” and firing incendiary devices at the ICE building while targeting the interior of the building with green lasers.

Earlier on Twitter, a post by Daniel Hanley, @calamardh, invited people to “rally against fascism in solidarity with Portland.” The protest was scheduled for July 25 at 10:30pm, “#AtlantaProtest”

Breitbart News – Texas reported that U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan called the individuals in Portland criminals not protestors. He said:

“It is so frustrating when I hear these individuals referred to as demonstrators or protestors. They’re not. They are criminals. They are coordinating and planning with willful intent to destroy federal property and seriously injure federal officers and agents.

What they are doing, every single night, they are getting together, they are coordinating, they are organizing with a willful intent to destroy federal property and injure federal agents and officers they come prepared every single night with deadly weapons, commercial-grade fireworks, lasers, frozen water bottles, rocks, and hammers.”

Breitbart Texas also was able to speak with the agency that provides security for the ICE Building, the Federal Protective Services (FPS) agency. FPS spokesperson said:

“Last evening at 180 Ted Turner Ave., Atlanta, Georgia, several windows of the facility were broken, and the facility was spray-painted. No arrests were made by federal officers. Information on damages should be referred to the General Service Administration.”

In the meantime, house Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) was recently asked to disavow Antifa’s violence in Portland Oregon and his response was, “that’s a myth”.

Writer/Producer Austin Fletcher posed the question to the democrat Sunday morning while he was waiting for his ride to pick him up. Fletcher then tweeted a short video of Nadler in what is quickly becoming the Tweet heard ’round the world.

I’m sorry?? A myth?

So the rioting that’s been going on for weeks now is just a figment of our imagination. Glad we got that cleared up.

Eric Trump reposted the tweet saying:

“This is the Democratic Party in 2020”

Elijah Schaffer, a writer for conservative media company Blaze Media, took to Twitter as well saying,

“Portland is at war every night, but Rep Jerry Nadler says my video coverage of Antifa violence and vandalism is a ‘myth'”

According to The Portland Bureau of Police,

“The largest group gathered on SW 3rd Avenue outside the federal courthouse and the Justice Center and the nearby parks and streets.

There were thousands gathered. Throughout the night some people in this crowd spent their time shaking the fence around the building, throwing rocks, bottles, and assorted debris over the fence, shining lasers through the fence, firing explosive fireworks into the area blocked by the fence, and using power tools to try to cut through the fence.

People wore gas masks, carried shields, hockey sticks, leaf blowers, flags, and umbrellas specifically to thwart police in crowd dispersal or attempt to conceal criminal acts.

People against the fence sprayed unknown liquids through it toward the courthouse. People tied rope to the fence and attempted to pull it down.”

Portland Police also estimate approximately 200 people were surrounding the Portland Police Association offices in north Portland attempting to block the streets by pulling down fencing and other debris.

A photograph posted on Facebook shows the debris leftover from a night of protesting in Portland.

The liberal left continue to grasp at straws when it comes to discrediting President Trump. Now they are just telling the American people that there aren’t any violent protests happening.

No coincidence that this is because last week Donald Trump announced the launch of Operation Legend in Chicago to combat gun violence.

‘Operation Legend’: Justice Department is hunting down criminals in gun-controlled, Democrat-run Chicago

Dems like Jerry Nadler are happy to sit by and watch the violence and destruction caused by Antifa and other leftist radical groups that are storming major cities across the US. The destruction and violence they are leaving in their wake is real. It is documented and the damage will cost taxpayers millions of dollars to repair.

Donald Trump on the other hand has, along with his top staff; come up with a plan to stop the destruction and bring peace to our cities. How? The police, that’s how.

It’s to scream “defund the police” when you’re marching through cities hurting one another and setting buildings on fire. Hopefully the “woke” left will awaken once again and this time they will see what they are doing is contradicting everything they claim to be fighting for.

In the meantime, you’ve got the comments by Nancy Pelosi that are even worse.

During recent weeks, some of the country has been plunged into chaos and riots after the murder of George Floyd.  Protesters and rioters have taken to the streets in major metropolitan areas which have resulted in millions of dollars in property damage as well as several acts of violence and deaths.

In response to the democratic leaders in these areas unable or unwilling to regain control, President Trump sent in federal police to protect federal property in those areas which were frequently attacked.

Most democratic leaders throughout the country, including Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have cried foul and said that the President’s actions amount to a dictator. They’ve alleged that the federal police are nothing more than “stormtroopers,” a term used to describe Nazi soldiers.

In response, Ken Cuccinelli, the acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, believes that federal police should sue Pelosi and others for libel after using the derogatory terms to describe them.

Whether or not any federal police officer files a lawsuit against Pelosi or any other democratic leader remains to be seen. However, it would appear that, by definition, Cuccinelli has a point.

In an interview with Fox News, Cuccinelli said:

“When you see such libelous, slanderous comments from people who know better – let’s not kid ourselves, the Speaker of the House knows that she is using Nazi allusions to refer to correct, professional law enforcement officers.  If I was a CBP agent or ICE agent, or FBI agent, and if I was an FPS agent, I might sue for libel.”

Pelosi had tweeted:

“The use of stormtroopers under the guise of law and order.  It is a tactic that is not appropriate to the country.”

Democratic California Representative Maxine Waters tweeted her displeasure for President Trump’s actions, saying:

“Who are these people?  Why do they have these kind of uniforms on where they cannot be identified.  This is what you see in countries where you have dictators….who have paramilitary.”

Cuccinelli laid out his justification of federal law enforcement to protect federal property:

“We have a federal mission at the Department of Homeland Security, governed by statute – but we have also heard people say this isn’t constitutional.  So, we are not only within the boundaries of the constitution.  We have a statutory charge.  That is mission we are pursuing [in Portland].”

Cuccinelli continued and spoke about Democratic Mayor Wheeler, of Portland, who went into the crowd of rioters and protesters recently.  He did so in an apparent attempt to garner support from the crowd and show that he was also against federal police being there.

Of this, Cuccinelli said:

“Any you know, we say Mayor Wheeler go out last night.  He is way out there – radical left…He has basically turned much of the city over to these violent criminals, and he has tied the hands of his own police department.”

Cuccinelli said that seeing Wheeler among the crowd who heard people booing, making fun of him and calling for his resignation.  It would seem that even the rioters do not want him in power any longer, to spite all of the defunding of the police he has been doing recently.

Cuccinelli advised that Wheeler’s actions reminded him of Russia before the Soviet Union was born:

“The right historical analogy has nothing to do with Germany but it has to do with the Bolsheviks.  Last night, the mayor was a Menshevik – the socialists who thought they can control that revolution and the bloodthirsty Bolsheviks came in and killed them all.  This mob is out for blood.  They are not there to protect the First Amendment or exercise First Amendment rights.”

Here’s more on Wheeler’s trip into the sea of riots.
Looks like Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler caught the bad end of both the protesters (actually, rioters, if we’re being honest) as well as federal authorities on the evening of July 22nd.

Shortly after midnight on July 23rd, authorities declared a riot in the city.

Mayor Wheeler just couldn’t catch a break between the evening of July 22nd and the early morning hours of July 23rd.

Reports say that a crowd of protesters booed him, chants for his resignation were screamed, and he even managed to get a fresh taste of tear gas when he antagonized federal agents.

When Mayor Wheeler was trying to gain the support from the crowd, he addressed the protesters saying that he was against the presence of federal law enforcement within the city, saying the following:

“I think what we’re doing tonight is actually the best thing we can do right now. Be here, be heard, be unified, and be clear. We didn’t want them, we didn’t ask for them, they’re not trained for what they’re being asked to do. And we want them to leave.”

Thereafter, the mayor was reported as addressing an even larger crowd, delivering the words that can apparently end racism:

“I am here tonight to stand with you. Black lives matter!”

Apparently, the mayor screaming “black lives matter” just wasn’t good enough for the mob (since, clearly, we’ve seen that’s not actually what they’re about). Now the mayor started saying that he was going to attempt to have federal agents removed from the city in an effort to appease the clamoring crowd.

Indeed – the crowd still jeered him and cursed at him repeatedly.

But when Mayor Wheeler said he wouldn’t commit to abolishing the police – as the black lives matter crowd hosted a projection of their list of demands – he was admonished by the hoodlums even more.

Oh, and among those listed demands projected on the wall was the mayor’s resignation.

Despite his lack of support, Mayor Wheeler decided to join along with the crowd of miscreants to post up in front of the federal courthouse. The same federal courthouse that has had the likes of federal agents making sure that no more vandalism and rioting takes place on federal property.

Well, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what happened next.

Mayor Wheeler got a fresh taste of tear gas alongside all the others chanting and trying to tear down the fencing protecting the federal courthouse.

Even after trying to join in alongside the mob of miscreants – people still were giving Wheeler a hard time as someone from inside the mob threw something at the mayor.

After it was all said and done, Mayor Wheeler had had enough protesting for the night, and decided it was time to escape. However, the crowd was not feeling that in the least, and several people began crowding around the mayor and screaming – with some getting physically aggressive with his security details.

Yet, there are still people who claim that everything was sunshine and rainbows in Portland before the feds came in and started enacting arrests. People are pretending as if there wasn’t rioting in the streets before the feds came in.

Things have escalated to the point that outside observers can’t even tell what exactly the agenda is of these rioters in Portland – aside, perhaps, from perpetuating chaos.

Furthermore, people are starting to get tired of the “peaceful protest” clamoring- likening it to gaslighting whenever it is being spread online and in the media.

The notion of a “mostly peaceful protest” that people keep hearing about also happens to coincide with the same protests that turn violent, riotous, and ends in firebombs and vandalism. Ben Shapiro said it best when referring to how the media covers these protests:

“First of all, ‘mostly peaceful’ is the most — it’s the loosest, most loosely defined, arbitrarily applied term in history… O.J. Simpson was mostly peaceful that night — for like an hour and 15, he was really not peaceful — but for the other hours between sunset and sunrise, he was unbelievably peaceful.”

Shapiro continued his thoughts on the bad framing of what these protests really are:

“Like, I’ve never heard this term before, where a protest turns into a vast riot — you know, wrecking all of Melrose — and everybody’s like, ‘Well, it was mostly peaceful.’ Well, what the — what is that?”

Maybe Mayor Wheeler will have a different outlook on these rioters taking over the streets after getting a dose of how they truly feel about him.

Then again, maybe not.
