PITTSBURGH – A suspect that apparently has no respect for law enforcement or sacred memorials spray-painted the letters “ACAB” on the monument for fallen officers in Pittsburgh reported Action News 4.
The letters represent a common acronym, “All Coppers Are Bastards.” The anti-police graffiti occurred Friday morning.
The Law Enforcement Officers Memorial of Allegheny County joins others that have been defaced by vandals. LET recently reported the disrespectful acts that occurred at a CHP Memorial in Bakersfield, California.
In Pittsburgh, the suspect(s) used the color pink to send their message. It is unknown if this color is somehow symbolic as part of the message.
The monument is located near Heinz Field on the city’s North Shore.
A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman confirmed that a police report was filed and said that investigators would check to see if the incident was captured on any surveillance cameras in the area.
In the meantime, the graffiti has been removed.
