Apparently, Governor “Blackface” Northam and the rest of the brain-dead liberal legislators in Virginia are either tone-deaf or stupid. We will go with the latter.

Over 20,000 patriots showed up in Richmond on Monday for “Lobby Day”, where there was literally one arrest (over a mask dispute), where gun rights advocates actually picked up their garbage (unlike global warming protests or women’s marches), and where they put to bed any rumors of white nationalists, racists, or gun nuts causing a ruckus.

Clearly, Northam and the Democrats weren’t impressed – especially after making such a big deal in the days running up to the event.

VA governor expands gun ban, blames 'violence' of tens of thousands who peacefully attended gun rally

After claiming on Jan. 15 that there were reports of “violent rhetoric”, Northam imposed a “temporary ban” against possessing guns on Capitol grounds, declaring a “state of emergency.”

The ban was implemented so that Second Amendment rally attendees could not be armed unless they stayed outside the perimeter of where the rally was being held.

Now, Democratic legislators are looking to take up Senate Bill 13, which would put in place a permanent ban against guns on the Capitol Square. The proposed law, which would be a Class 1 misdemeanor, would also ban guns in “state-owned buildings that border its boundary streets.”

Just to show that they’re not just targeting guns, the ban would also extend to the following: “bowie knife, switchblade knife, ballistic knife, machete, razor, slingshot, spring stick, fighting chain, throwing star, and oriental dart of any weapon of like kind.”

Damn, Kung-Fu students are going to be pissed.

So, as we said there were absolutely no incidents whatsoever at the rally on Monday. That wasn’t good enough for GQ, the pile of trash magazine better suited to line bird cages or pick up dog feces in the backyard.

Some woke writer named Talia Lavin wrote a piece for GQ that is laughable. Lavin somehow saw the following, which was not reported anywhere else:

“Some wore skull masks; others waved Confederate flags. Members of hate groups like the League of the South and the American Guard, as well as the Proud Boys, mingled openly; some of the latter were wearing patches that said “RWDS—an acronym for “Right-Wing Death Squad.”

“Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones gave a speech from a Teradyne battle tank. Adding to the bellicose mood, some attendees paraded with a massive guillotine as a prop, and others held up an effigy strung on a noose, emblazoned with the slogan, ‘Thus always to tyrants.’”

Our guess is that Lavin has no problem with vagina-hat wearing amazons at the Women’s March, or Antifa thugs throwing cement-laden “milkshakes” at police officers in Portland, OR.

When you have 22,000 people at an event, you are probably going to get a small number of people that may take things a bit to the edge, but as stated before, none of the so-called “mainstream media” reported on any of this.

Lavin was shocked that nobody was shot. “No one was shot—a frankly extraordinary turn of events given the sheer amount of weaponry, the density of the crowd and the weapons stuffed casually into backpacks or held loosely in the crooks of pale arms.” Pale arms—well it is winter, idiot.

Let’s continue. Lavin was not happy that mainstream media sources such as the Washington Post actually reported the facts instead of her high-brow analysis of what she wanted to see. She seems like a very angry person and dismissed Gateway Pundit and Infowars’ assessment that the demonstration was a “peaceful protest.” The Washington Post even said, “Pro-gun rally by thousands in Virginia ends peacefully.” Guess the truth hurts there, huh Lavin?

Sorry, media. Peaceful 2A rally in Virginia proves gun owners aren't the enemy

Lavin is probably one of those who was waiting with bated breath for someone to get shot, or some type of violence to break out so she could breathlessly say, “See. I told you so.” Sorry to disappoint.

Lavin boasted that “bloodshed—great and heavy and perhaps unprecedented on American soil—was narrowly averted. A federal motion for detention released Tuesday revealed that three members of neo-Nazi terror group The Base had planned to attend Monday’s rally in Virginia, kitted out with a home-built, functioning fully-automatic rifle capable of firing several rounds at a time; survival gear; and 1,500 rounds of ammunition. They had planned to open fire into the crowd.”

The thing is, The Base was not part OF the event. They were going there to DISRUPT the event. Trying to blame the 2A Rally for some group going to disrupt it would be like blaming the kids at Sandy Hook for the lunatic going to shoot them. She literally makes no sense.

Of course, Lavin dismisses the fact that the event was, in fact peaceful.

“There was, it was true, an absence of immediate bloodshed; but what abounded, in that armed and insurrectionist sea of humanity, was the promise that bloodshed might happen at any time, should the will of the mob be thwarted.”

Lavin, by the way, is also a racist. She spoke of “America’s exceptional tolerance towards armed white gunmen—its brooking of gun-toting militias around the country, and the po-faced seriousness with which the media takes claims of “freedom” when it comes to the right to own weapons of mass slaughter—is entirely restricted to this demographic.” Like we said, racist.

We continue: “Terrorists were intercepted on the way to this rally with the open goal of sparking civil war; the thousands of armed individuals roaming the streets of an American city openly proclaimed their intent not to obey laws they might disagree with. Yet their very whiteness rendered them invisible as a threat; in America, if you are white, you can wear a mask and carry a gun and hang a governor in effigy and go home quietly at the end of the day, unmolested.” Once again, racist.

Gee, Lavin, have you ever been to an anti-Trump rally, where he is hung in effigy? Have you seen tweets from left-wing wackos like Kathy Griffin with President Trump’s severed head? Have you seen Snoop Dog’s video of Trump getting shot? Spare us your selective freaking outrage.

Lavin also spoke about friends who “cautioned other activists to stay far from the capital and avoid counter-protest. She attended, she told me, because she felt an obligation to document the event rather than to protest it…at the event, she said, ‘the crowd was so thick I got knocked in the face and chest with rifle barrels.’”

Sounds like maybe she was invading someone’s personal space.

Lavin goes on to whine about Virginia Commonwealth University suspending activities for the day, and that residents of Jackson Ward, a historically black neighborhood, left town entirely for the day. Maybe they were working?

Sadly, she said a march for the rights of undocumented Virginians (read ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS) was canceled. The event had expected 1,000 attendees, many of whom were “undocumented.” (Would have been a great opportunity for ICE to round some up). The New Virginia Majority (interesting name) was VERY mad that they couldn’t hold their event, according to Lavin.

“We are enraged that we cannot use our voices today at the General Assembly.”

What a shame.

Lavin goes on to whine about mass shootings at malls, churches, kindergartens, concerts, nightclubs, blah, blah, blah. She viewed the rally as a threat “against democracy itself.” Lavin, you sound like the textbook definition of a drama queen. She claims that 2A advocates are a “minority that is both well-heeled and well-armed.”

Interestingly, Lavin says that those protesting what the Democrats are doing should accept “the will of an electorate that outvoted them.” We wonder if she feels the same about Democrats who still refuse three years later to accept the results of the 2016 presidential election? Probably not.

Lavin would be well advised to read a little document called the Constitution of the United States. That is the supreme law of the land.

The Second Amendment to that document, within a section called the Bill of Rights, says, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”

Those rights contained within the Constitution are God-given rights, also known as inalienable rights. Those rights do not come FROM the government. The Bill of Rights is a restriction ON government, not permission FROM government.

Suck it up, buttercup.
