Donald Trump Jr. slams Biden administration for putting illegals in hotels, soldiers in parking garages

WEST PALM BEACH, FL- Remember those pictures and videos of National Guard troops in Washington, DC, charged with “protecting” lawmakers from “insurrectionists” after the siege at the US Capitol on January 6?

Contrast that with the latest move made by the Biden administration, housing illegal aliens in hotels near the southern border.

One person who noticed is Donald Trump Jr.

On Saturday, the eldest son of former President Donald Trump posted a video and illustrated the contrast between how American soldiers were treated by the government and how illegal aliens are treated.

The Post Millennial wrote that Trump Jr. noted that illegal migrants entering the country are receiving hotel rooms while National Guard troops were forced to sleep in parking garages.

“Illegal immigrants coming into this country and breaking our laws get hotel rooms, paid for you by the American taxpayer, while our National Guard, guarding DC […] sleep on a cold hard floor,” Trump said.

The younger Trump pointed out that those illegal migrants are getting hotel rooms, estimated at a cost of $89 million.

“You, the American taxpayer, are going to pay $89 million to put illegal immigrants in hotel rooms, while our National Guard sleeps on the floor. That would never have happened under the Trump administration.”

At the time it was uncovered that National Guard troops were being exposed to such terrible accommodations, the former president offered the use of his hotels in Washington, DC out of respect for those troops as well as their service to our country.

“More importantly, there would never be this kind of influx under the Trump administration, because Trump policies actually worked at the border,” Trump Jr. said. “They deterred people from coming.”

He continued, “That’s why drug trafficking was down under Trump. It’s why human trafficking was down under Trump. It’s why illegal border crossings were down under Trump,” he said of the former Trump administration.

“You have an unprecedented number of people coming across the border. I can’t even blame them. But this was caused by a total lack of judgment in the Biden administration. By a total lack of competence. And now, you, the American taxpayer get to pay for it, as always.”

Trump Jr lamented the fact that it’s his belief is that illegals coming into the country seem to be faring better than Americans.

“Why would illegal immigrants coming into the country illegally be treated better than our National Guardsmen?” he asked.

“That’s the inequity. That’s inequity. You want to talk about inequity, that’s it.”

There has been a record surge in illegals storming the border, caused in large part by Biden’s open invitation for illegals to come to the United States, noting on his inauguration day that he would suspend deportations in his first 100 days in office.

That statement was taken as a signal by illegals in central America and Mexico that they had 100 days to make it across the US-Mexico border.

In addition, Biden has ordered other actions taken, canceling the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” policy. This has resulted in a flood of illegals crossing the border into states such as Texas and Arizona.

While Biden’s administration refers to their policies as “humanitarian,” they don’t have the facilities in order to properly shelter, process or care for those who are crossing the border into the United States.

None of this comes as a shock to either former President Trump, his family or former administration officials. In fact, the former president had warned specifically about what is currently occurring. Law Enforcement Today reported on this last October. For more on that we invite you to:

DIG DEEPER

LUMBERTON, NC – On Saturday at a campaign rally in North Carolina, President Trump warned Americans of a “tsunami” of illegal immigrants entering the country if Joe Biden is elected.

The President pointed out Biden’s promised immigration policies and statements made during Thursday’s presidential debate in Nashville.

In a report compiled over the weekend, Breitbart News laid out the groundwork of comparing the two candidates and their immigration policies.

The President and Biden sparred on Thursday night about immigration, along with other major topics. The president pointed out the estimated 12 million illegals in the country.  He also remarked how Joe Biden planned to offer all 12 million amnesty and a path to citizenship within his first few days in office.

Among many statements from the president, this one rang the loudest on the immigration topic:

“Joe Biden has vowed to open borders … mass amnesty, sanctuary cities, and nationwide catch and release programs.”

Trump also indicated that Biden would offer free education and healthcare to illegals.

“What happens is you have millions and millions of people pour into our country when you do that.”

Joe Biden doubled-down on his promises regarding immigration:

“Within 100 days, I’m going to send to the United States Congress a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people.”

Biden also mentioned helping out children who were brought into the country by illegal immigrant parents. He promising to direct assistance through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and to give amnesty to the parents who brought them.

Biden repeated himself several times:

“We owe them, we owe them.”

In one of the more contentious moments of the recent debate, Biden slammed Trump for separating immigrant children from their parents, once again looking directly into the camera to address the American people with “soap opera” style looks and expressions.

Several facts should be addressed, however, before choosing sides on this topic.  The Department of Homeland Security and its subdivisions have explained that the large majority of children housed in federal facilities were escorted by coyotes, or professional human traffickers, and not their parents.

In fact, as DHS reaches out to the parents, they’ve found that many don’t respond or wish to claim their children.

Joe Biden attacked Trump for separating children from parents and placing them in “cages.” However, the Obama/Biden administration initially authorized the building of these facilities and housing of children in them.

Trump quickly defended his actions, saying that the children were well taken care of with food, hygiene, and medical needs addressed. Trump countered Biden by attacking the “catch and release” method of apprehending illegal immigrants initiated by the Obama administration.

“Catch and release” means illegals are apprehended, given court dates with immigration judges, released into our country pending those hearings, and the large majority are never seen again – being allowed to live and work in the United States under the radar.

Microsoft News produced a report that explains the serious problems with Biden’s immigration plan. Biden plans to revert back to the Obama policies on deportation.

Microsoft News’ reported:

“According to Biden, it is counterproductive to target families and people who have never been convicted of a serious criminal offense and who have lived, worked, and contributed to our economy and our communities for decades.”

In other words, if you’re not a hardened criminal, you won’t be deported.

The Obama-Biden administration took action to prevent many immigrants from being deported.

From the Microsoft News report:

“In 2014…Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Charles Johnson informed USCIS, CBP, and ICE officers that they were prohibited from apprehending, detaining, or removing an undocumented alien who was not in a priority category unless, ‘in the judgment of an ICE Field Office Director, removing such an alien would serve an important federal interest’…”

Washington state to create $40 million ‘Immigration Relief Fund’ for undocumented residents

August 20, 2020

OLYMPIA, WA – On August 10, Gov. Jay Inslee announced the creation of a state fund to help undocumented workers during the continued COVID-19 pandemic.

In a news release, Inslee proudly spoke of the Immigration Relief Fund, which will provide $40 million to assist Washington residents who have been unable to access federal stimulus programs due to their immigration status.

Allegedly, the governor and his staff worked closely with a coalition representing 430 immigration rights and social services organizations, and labor advocacy leaders to develop the funds. He said in a statement:

“We have to ensure that no one in our state is left behind as we fight this pandemic. COVID-19 doesn’t care about your immigration status. We must support every family affected by the virus, especially those who lack the necessary means to quarantine or isolate and prevent further spread.”

He added:

“This is the right thing for the well-being of individuals, the health of their colleagues, and the safety of our communities.”

According to the news release, the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services has issued a request for proposals to select the nonprofit organization that will be in charge of administering the Immigrant Relief Fund.

Allegedly, once the nonprofit is chosen it will then partner with other community organizations to manage applications and the awards of $1,000 per eligible individual or up to $3,000 per family. If all goes as planned, initial awards are expected to be made later in the fall.

Rich Stolz, executive director of OneAmerica, an immigrant rights group, said:

“Immigrant community members are facing some of the worst outcomes of this pandemic and have been systematically excluded from a social safety net for too long.

A coalition of immigrant organizations came together to develop this fund that recognizes the dignity of our undocumented community members and works to get some relief to their families during this difficult time.”
