To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the countries of Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador are placing the blame for the current migrant surge and accompanying border crisis squarely where it belongs.
No, not on climate change, or LGBT-whatever rights…they’re pinning it on the feckless Biden administration.
Breitbart reports that all three nations have targeted Biden and his gang of inept nincompoops for the current situation at the border, with Guatemalan president Alejandro Giammattei leading the way.
On Monday, before Kamala Harris overflew the border crisis she’s supposed to be overseeing at 37,000 feet, the Guatemalan leader slammed the Biden administration Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” He claims that Biden’s welcoming tone is responsible for attracting the historic surge which is plaguing border states across the southern United States.
Giammattei specifically mentioned Biden’s promise to “reunite” migrant families and children with their American relatives as an impetus for citizens of his country to emigrate to the United States.
“The message [for migrants] changed [under Biden] too: ‘We’re going to reunite families, we’re going to reunite children,’” he continued.
“The very next day [after Biden’s invite to come to America], the coyotes were here organizing groups of children to take them to the United States,” Giammattei said.
He has blamed Biden’s lenient border security policies for the surge in past statements.
Breitbart reached out to both the Guatemalan government, as well as CBS to request an unedited video or transcript of the interview. The government did not respond, and CBS refused to provide an unedited version of the interview or a full transcript of the interview.
Meanwhile, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) has also slammed Biden’s overwhelmingly welcoming tone, which began during the presidential campaign and after the November election.
He said Biden has “created expectations” among migrants from both Mexico as well as Central American nations that the border is basically open and remaining in the United States is virtually guaranteed under the Biden administration.
The Mexican government joins Congressional Republicans as well as other Republican officials from border states who blame Biden’s gutting of Trump-era immigration and border security policies for the current humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Biden denies those allegations, making the absurd claim that the border is closed. Those ridiculous assertions have also been repeated by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas as well as the useless Kamala Harris.
If it weren’t for the fact that there is all manner of video evidence showing the unfolding crisis at the border, Biden and his sycophants might be able to get away with clearly lying to the American people. State and city officials all across the U.S. have confirmed that illegals and asylum-seekers have been transferred into their jurisdictions by the Biden administration.
A May report in the Washington Post read:
Mexican officials, including Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, have been privately frustrated with Biden’s rapid-fire rollback of Trump policies, according to current and former U.S. and Mexican officials, because Mexico thought Biden’s moves incentivized migration in the short term while his proposed solutions consisted of long-term measures [such as addressing the so-called ‘root causes’ of migration and providing financial assistance over four years] that could take years to make a difference.

Biden’s open border policies have led to an influx of migrants not only from Mexico and Central America’s so-called “Northern Triangle” (Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras) but from all over the world, including Africa and Asia.
Biden’s policy changes have been viewed as an open invitation for people to come to cross the border into America.
In March, Fox News Tucker Carlson Tonight aired an interview with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, who gave three reasons for the border surge:
- A lack of economic opportunities
- The absence of security in Latin America
- Incentives provided in the United States
Bukele acknowledged that his country needed to provide better economic opportunities and security in order to give people less incentive to want to leave that country. He had previously indicated that he favored commerce with U.S. based businesses rather than U.S. taxpayer-funded foreign aid, which he said has failed to make any changes in the year American taxpayers have been sending assistance to Central America.
He noted that the lack of economic opportunities is “bad for the United States because immigration will go up, and it’s bad for our country because [of] people leaving the country…so it’s bad for both of us,” he said.
Bukele said that by the U.S. incentivizing people to leave El Salvador for this country, it serves to gut El Salvador of the very people who could contribute to the economy in their home country without leaving.
Due to overcrowded and sometimes unsanitary conditions at processing centers and detention facilities, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is releasing migrant detainees to the interior United States without even giving them court dates. This basically allows them to reunite with their loved ones (if loved ones in fact exist) while having no means to ensure that they actually show up for their court dates to hear their asylum applications.
Authorities in Panama have reported apprehending illegal aliens from places such as Africa, Asia and other regions outside of Central and South America, indicating that word has gotten out worldwide about Biden’s “come to America” plan.
In May, the New York Times reported that the U.S. is releasing most migrants apprehended into the United States, despite Trump-era pandemic control protocols (Title 42) which were actually kept in place by Biden. Title 42 is designed to allow the government to remove any illegal aliens amid the COVID-19 pandemic to stem the spread of the virus.
Breitbart says that Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who is accused by U.S. prosecutors of being involved in state-sponsored narcotics trafficking along with his brother has largely remained silent about the current border crisis, a change from past critiques.
In 2014, Hernandez criticized Congress for “ambiguity” over border laws. That ironically was when Biden was serving as vice-president under Obama.
