CLAY COUNTY, FL – Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels is speaking out in defense of his county and officers.
In a viral, video Sheriff Daniels, surrounded by Deputy Sheriffs, warns protestors against rioting and bringing chaos to Clay County.
In the video Daniels states:
“Don’t fall victim or play victim to this conversation that law enforcement is bad, that law enforcement is the enemy of the citizens that we’re sworn to protect and serve.”
He makes his position very clear.
“Lawlessness, that’s unacceptable in Clay County. And if you come to Clay County and you think for one second, we’ll bend our backs for you, you’re sadly mistaken” Daniels continued.
The sergeant gave a warning that all protestors should heed:
“Yes, we’ll protect your constitutional rights as long as you remain under the umbrellas of peaceful protest or peaceful march.
But the second you step out from up under protection of the Constitution, we’ll be waiting on you and we’ll give you everything you want. All the publicity all the pain all the glamour and glory for all that five minutes will give you.”
His words should serve as a reminder to potential protestors that police are vigilant and will not tolerate threats to their community. Daniels made his intention clear when he said:
“Is it a threat? Absolutely not. But someone has to step up in front of the camera and say enough is enough.”
The video came to a close with Daniels stating:
“If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff, and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in this county and I’ll deputize them for this one purpose to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility. That’s what we’re sworn to do. That’s what we’re going to do. You’ve been warned.”
Sheriff Daniels is the first black sheriff to serve in Clay County. This is his first term as county sheriff and he is up for reelection this year in a crowded six candidate race.
Here’s Sheriff Daniels full statement (video below):
‘Don’t fall victim or play victim to this conversation that law enforcement is bad, that law enforcement is the enemy of the citizens that we’re sworn to protect and serve.
We swore an oath, and in that oath, we swore to support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the government, and that we’re duly qualified under the state’s constitution to hold office.
That means for me as a sheriff and these men and women as deputy sheriffs. And we end that with, ‘So help me God,’ but God is absent from the media’s message or Black Lives Matter or any other group that’s making themselves a spectacle disrupting what we know to be our quality of life in this country.
In Clay County we have a great quality of life. We have a great relationship with our community. But across this nation, not so much.
I wanted to take a stand with these men and women who feel the same way as I do.
Lawlessness, that’s unacceptable in this country. Lawlessness, that’s unacceptable in Clay County.
And if you come to Clay County and you think for one second, we’ll bend our backs for you, you’re sadly mistaken.
I know what happens when lawlessness prevails.
And in this day and time, God is raising up men and women just like the folks standing behind me who will have strong backbones and will stand in the gap between lawlessness and the citizenry we’re sworn to protect.
So, you can threaten all you want. You can say let’s go to Clay County or let’s go to some other peaceful county where problems don’t exist where relationships are great and not strained and where the people support their sheriff and support the men and women in uniform. And you’ll have something waiting you don’t want.
Yes, we’ll protect your constitutional rights as long as you remain under the umbrellas of peaceful protest or peaceful march.
But the second you step out from up under protection of the Constitution, we’ll be waiting on you and we’ll give you everything you want.
All the publicity all the pain all the glamour and glory for all that five minutes will give you.
Is it a threat? Absolutely not.
But someone has to step up in front of the camera and say enough is enough. Tearing up Clay County, that’s not going to be acceptable
If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff, and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in this county and I’ll deputize them for this one purpose to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility.
That’s what we’re sworn to do. That’s what we’re going to do. You’ve been warned.’
Just last month, Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County, Florida also issued a warning.
He told reporters during a press conference:
“I would tell them, if you value your life, they probably shouldn’t do that in Polk County. Because the people of Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and they’re going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded.
“And if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires, I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns. So, leave the community alone.”
"I can assure you, someone breaks into my home, I'm gonna shoot them and I'm gonna shoot them a lot. I'm gonna shoot them so much that you could read a newspaper through them and that's my recommendation to other people in our community." – Sheriff Grady Judd @DLoesch #DanaRadio pic.twitter.com/mmdEyR3Ybf

The Sheriff continued:
“If you come here to riot, to loot, to injure people, we’re going to lock you up in the county jail,” Judd held up a picture of a man wearing a gas mask, gloves, jacket and hat. “This is an organized rioter. This gentleman has a professional mask on, professional clothes designed to seal out pepper spray.”
Sheriff Judd has always been an advocate for the Second Amendment. This isn’t the first time he has stood up for our right to bear arms.

The above warning came after rumors that rioters threatened to attack residential areas.
Threats by these criminals to invade the homes of innocent people are very real. We have watched mobs of criminals destroy their own communities, burn down police stations, churches, and the belongings of the homeless.
These criminals even lit fire to a residential building with a child inside, and blocked firefighters from being able to respond (don’t believe people could be that evil? Check out the story HERE).
Now more than ever, Americans are realizing the need for firearms to protect themselves and their loved ones. One thing these riots have reinforced is the need for high capacity magazines and our constitutionally protected right to bear arms.
I live in Polk County.. hubs and I go to the same Church as our precious Sheriff Grady Judd. We are also one of those families that will blow you back out of our home? pic.twitter.com/2k5mUOx8DU

Our officers are doing the best they can given the current state of our nation. All officers are under attack by rioters fueled by nothing more than hate and malice. Many of those causing the damage and spreading violence are getting paid for the destruction they are causing.
We can’t always depend on police to protect us. Right now, they need our protection. They need our support and they need us to be able to protect ourselves if necessary.
We have a duty and a responsibility to protect ourselves and defend our loved one if necessary.

He’s not the only one issuing a warning – so did a mom running for Congress in Georgia. In case you missed it, here’s that story.
ROME, GA – For those who don’t know Marjorie Taylor Greene, she’s a Republican congressional candidate based out of Georgia who is running for the state’s 14th District in Congress.
When it comes to where she stands pertaining to political issues, her Twitter bio paints quite the legible portrait:
“Christian, Wife, Mom, Small Business Owner, Proud American, 100% Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Pro-Trump.”
With the Republican primaries coming up on June 9th, Greene decided to produce a campaign ad that certainly made her stand out from the crowd.
ANTIFA has declared war on our country.@realDonaldTrump responded by declaring them a domestic terrorist organization.
Here’s my message to ANTIFA terrorists:
Stay the HELL out of NW Georgia.
You won’t burn our churches, loot our businesses, or destroy our homes. pic.twitter.com/kBMh87G1ap
— Marjorie Taylor Greene For Congress?? (@mtgreenee) June 2, 2020
During the campaign ad placed online, Greene states the following while holding a firearm:
“President Trump declared Antifa a domestic terror organization. I have a message for Antifa terrorists – stay the hell out of northwest Georgia. You won’t burn our churches, loot our businesses, or destroy our homes.”
There are some people online responding to Greene’s video who are actually claiming that Antifa is “nonexistent” and that potential damage to homes, churches, and communities are also “a nonexistent threat.”
One Twitter user responded with:
“The sociopathic tweet with a woman holding a gun is garbage, threatening a nonexistent Antifa and depicting a nonexistent threat to churches and homes.”
So, you mean a church wasn't recently set on fire (because it was) and that Antifa isn't real (they are, and very vocal in areas they operate). Either you're blind or willfully ignorant.

However, rioters literally just damaged and set fire to a church mere days ago within the nation’s capital. Furthermore, it’s not like Antifa is some make-believe concept or group.
The groups claiming to be Antifa have been well documented for roughly four years.
Whoever manages to land the primary Republican nomination in June will be going toe-to-toe with Democrat Kevin Van Ausdal in November.
Considering all that is transpiring in the country, perhaps a strong Second Amendment supporter is a good idea when looking at who to place into Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.
In case you missed our past media coverage of Ms. Greene, here it is:
While anyone can run for office, not every candidate is created equal.
Our focus during campaign seasons for Law Enforcement Today is to find those candidates that stand in support of the men and women in law enforcement and are not afraid to let that be known.
One candidate in particular that stands out to us is Marjorie Taylor Greene. Greene, a Christian conservative whose slogan is “Save America, Stop Socialism”.
She is currently running for GA 14 congressional seat currently held by the retiring U.S. Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ranger.
Greene makes it no secret that she is one of the most pro-law enforcement, pro-gun, pro-life and pro-Trump candidates currently running in all the nation. These aren’t just words that are printed on a page for Greene, they are morals that she lives by.
Greene’s roots run deep in Georgia.
She was born and raised in the “Peach State”, went to school there and graduated from the University of Georgia with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She and her husband Perry have been married for 24 years, and have three beautiful children Lauren, Taylor and Derek who they also chose to raise in Georgia.
Greene and her husband also own the successful Taylor Commercial construction and renovation company, which Greene grew up working in.
“I bought my father’s construction company in 2002 and expanded our work to 11 different states. My company has created thousands of jobs over the past 17 years. I also opened and grew a thriving gym called CrossFit Passion in my district,” she said.
She’s a proud supporter of law enforcement, and the second amendment and strongly against Red Flag Laws.
With our nation in turmoil over legislators attempting to legislate firearms right out of the hands of lawful gun owners, and a war on our law enforcement community – Greene is exactly the candidate that is needed right now.
“I am a huge supporter of all law enforcement not only in my community, but nationwide,” she said. “As a business owner, and a Mom of three kids, I am very grateful to our police for keeping our community safe.”
Greene understands what the men and women of law enforcement are facing on a daily basis and she wants to work hard to change the current state of our nation.
“In today’s climate of anti-American and anti-police sentiment coming from the left, we are seeing an unprecedented hate for our brave men and women who are called to the honorable line of duty which is law enforcement,” she said.
She attributes much of this anti-American and anti-police rhetoric to the top Democrats of our nation including Nancy Pelosi and the Squad members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan – none of whom have Georgia or its residents on their priority lists.
“With destructive vocal influencers like Nike sponsored anti-flag failed NFL quarter back Colin Kaepernick, radical billionaire leftist George Soros Open Society subsidizing and stoking hatred for ICE and Border Patrol, and anti-American Communist House Rep Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who demonizes ICE, Homeland Security, and harasses Border Patrol, now more than ever we need elected leaders who will take a stand for our nation’s men and women in law enforcement,” she said.
Greene also recognizes the dangers in the implementation of “Red Flag Laws”, both to law enforcement as well as law abiding gun owners. If you are unfamiliar with what this law entails here is the definition provided by Wikipedia:
“In the United States, a red flag law is a gun control law that permits police or family members to petition a state court to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may present a danger to others or themselves.
A judge makes the determination to issue the order based on statements and actions made by the gun owner in question.
Refusal to comply with the order is punishable as a criminal offense. After a set time, the guns are returned to the person from whom they were seized unless another court hearing extends the period of confiscation.”
With the implementation of these Red Flag Laws popping up all over the United States, many law-abiding gun owners are pressing for their own lawmakers and law enforcement personnel to propose 2A sanctuaries.
Georgia is no exception. Recognizing the ongoing 2A law battles that are occurring to their neighbors in the north in Virginia recently, many Georgia gun owners are starting to come together to make a push for their own 2A sanctuaries.
Recently Greene attended a 2A sanctuary rally in her district and had this to say to those in attendance regarding the need for law makers to respect the Constitution;
“As the next US Representative from Northwest Georgia l pledge to NEVER vote for gun control.
*No Red Flags
*No Mag Bans
*No Semi Auto Bans
*No so-called “Assault Weapons Ban”
*No Gun Registration
*REPEAL Gun Free Zones.
I’m disgusted watching hate America leftists like AOC, Omar, Tlaib and The Socialist Squad spew their hate about our country.
I’m tired of seeing our side play defense. I will go on offense, take the fight to them in Washington, DC, and fight for our pro-American values.”
Why do we feel that Greene is the right fit for the job? Because she cares about the things that matter to so many of us.
“I’m nobody special, I’m just an American and I’m a business owner, and I just I decided it’s time to stand up and speak out for the Angel Families, for our nation’s purity, and our veterans, and our law enforcement.” Greene stated.
“If my district elects me, I will be one of the most Pro Law Enforcement Representatives in the United States House of Representatives.”
And frankly, that’s what we need right now.
