OLYMPIA, WA- Another day, another unhinged radical appointed to a school board in a city somewhere in America.
The latest example comes from Olympia, Washington, where the Olympia School District’s recently appointed school board director has been shown on footage calling police officers “pigs” and shouting “fuck the police” during protests,’ Fox News Digital reports.
“It amazes me how those pigs can sit over there to watch us peacefully…talk about what we want changed in this state,” Talauna Reed, the new board director, said in 2021.
“And they don’t pay attention until we tear shit up. So, before I get started, tear everything up in this fucking city until they do what we want them to do.”

Wow…sounds like a real role model for Olympia students. That footage has parents in the district concerned, with one parent calling the decision to appoint Reed to the school board “completely baffling.”
“I think the larger issue here, Ms. Reed aside, is that we clearly have a school board that was bound and determined to place her in this position, proving themselves incapable of making reasonable decisions,” Alesha Perkins said.
In an interview with Todd Piro of Fox & Friends First, Perkins told him the public had no input into the decision to appoint Reed while again claiming the decision to appoint the unhinged Reed to the board is “ideologically driven.”
“They were determined, at all costs, to have Ms. Reed appointed,” she said.
In spite of protests from parents such as Ms. Perkins, the school district has been unmoved by the outrage.
“During the interview process, she showed herself to be a committed and thoughtful advocate for the students of our school district,” the school board said.
“We look forward to working with her to address pressing equity and inclusion in our school district,” while adding they believe Reed will be an “important voice and partner” going forward.
“It’s made a laughingstock of our school board, and it’s just really unfortunate for our community, for our students that deserve better representation,” Perkins added, while noting Reed’s extensive criminal history.
Just the type of person you want around school children and making decisions for their academic future.
“Ms. Reed has been shown to have an extensive criminal record that should have immediately excluded her from this position. It’s really a question as to how this could happen,” Perkins said.
According to the Tennessee Star, In announcing Reed’s appointment earlier this year, the school board issued the following press statement:
Reed is the Lead Outreach and Advocacy Navigator at Interfaith Works where she works with unhoused community members. In that capacity, Reed facilitates training in cultural diversity, de-escalation, restorative justice models, anti-racism, and trauma-informed care across multiple organizations and in collaboration with other Thurston County providers. She facilitates meetings in the community where she educates audiences with tools for dismantling white supremacy in order to create a more equitable society.
What could possibly go wrong.
The press release continued that Reed’s children attended the Olympia public schools, and possesses a bachelor’s degree in organizational management.
Following the ceremony in which she was sworn in, Reed said anyone who had concerns with her appointment should have spoken out during public comments and doubled down saying it was her right “to oppose police brutality.”
“I am just excited about doing this job and being a part of this,” she said. “I am invested in this community. I am a part of this community, and I care about the city, especially the children, as you can learn so much from it.”
Meanwhile back in July, The Post Millennial reported that Reed, then running for a city council seat in Olympia, had worked alongside a violent Antifa extremist, Miguel Luis Lofland.
Miguel Louis Lofland, of the "Antifa News Network," was at the #antifa Portland May Day riot in downtown. He wore fake press markings. The piece noted Lofland runs a newspaper called the Antifa News Network, primarily used to call for violence against Antifa opponents, and he also organizes anti-police protests.

Lofland provided Reed with campaign interview, as well as footage of anti-police protests that she organized in Olympia. She also uses him as her personal videographer, although it is unknown if she compensates him for those services.
Reed’s home boy, Lofland has an extensive history of being the driving force behind violent protests in Washington’s capital city of Olympia, while frequently calling on individuals to participate in political violence. He has been arrested numerous times by police for actions taken during those violent riots.

For example, on May 11, 2022, he organized a group of Antifa thugs to intimidate police officers and their families who were attending a police appreciation dinner in Bellevue, WA. While the unhinged Antifa thugs attempted to disrupt the event, the large presence of police officers at the event dissuaded them. Because as we know, Antifa prefers to gang up on targets involving individuals and small groups, but tuck their tails and run when they are outnumbered.
Lofland also organized an assault on a Turning Point USA event at the state capitol building in March, which resulted in injuries to three.

This is who Reed hangs around with. And the Olympia, Washington school board just put her in charge of children’s education in that city.
