Report: Minnesota teachers will soon have to demonstrate a Marxist worldview to get their teaching license

ST. PAUL, MN- Conservatives always knew they would come after the children. Now they’re not even trying to hide it. In Minnesota, the Professional Educators Licensing and Standards Board or PELSB is charged with licensing Minnesota teachers.

The board is appointed by Minnesota’s governor, in this case Gov. Tim Walz. The PELSB recently came out with their new teacher licensing requirements and they’re scary as hell.

According to Liberty Sentinel, the new requirements will require educators in the state to push “basic Marxist principles and practices such as critical race theory (CRT), fluid sexual identity, and gender politics throughout the state’s schools.

Marxist theory dictates that people divide themselves into groups, not as individuals and that as members of those two groups—oppressor groups or oppressed groups—they teach that so-called oppressed groups must be “liberated” from the exploitation of their oppressors.

When those standards are eventually formally adopted, they must be met to either become or remain a licensed teacher in Minnesota. This includes teachers in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) from pre-natal education continuing through the educational system.

Even non-public schools would be subject to the same requirements, since anyone who wants to teach in the state must be a certified teacher.

Following are some of the Minnesota licensing requirements as outlined in the proposed legislation; explanations provided by the Child Protection League:

  • Help students develop social identities based upon their social grouping [Group identities are prioritized over individual identities];
  • Comply with the construct of “multiple identity formation” [also known as intersectionality];
  • Incorporate “Social and Emotional Learning” (SEL) into all classes [transform the values, attitudes, and beliefs of all students and achieve full compliance with equity and gender ideology]
  • Understand “systemic trauma,” including racism and micro & macro aggression [trauma allegedly implemented from the oppressor classes on “victims”];
  • Be “inclusive to reflect “diversity of cultures” [teachers will have to affirm homosexuality, transgenderism, sexual identity (gender as a choice, not biology), and the absence of moral standards for sexual practices which will set the stage for the normalization of pedophilia];
  • Fully affirm and incorporate identity politics into the school, including race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, economic status, and ethnicity;
  • Focus on implicit bias and systemic racism, including “white privilege;”
  • Prioritize materials from “traditionally marginalized voices that offer diverse perspectives on race, culture, language, gender, sexual identity, religion, nationality, migrant/refugee status…and other identities traditionally silenced or omitted from the curriculum.” [in other words, identity politics will drive curriculum content];
  • Teach materials that “empower learners to be agents of social change and promote equity. [in other words equality of outcomes, not equality of opportunity, i.e. classic Marxism- “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”];
  • Train students in social activism through service learning;
  • Connect students with local and global political activists;
  • Understand that Minnesota’s laws were created to oppress by race, class, gender, sexual orientation, language, and nationality;
  • Understand white supremacy, and how racism operates institutionally [the Marxist assumption that our institutions are fundamentally racist];
  • Understand “ethnocentrism” and “eurocentrism” as undermining “equity.” [ those two concepts serve as the basis for our country’s cultural, religious, and political heritage and are defined as “racist and oppressive.” This will teach students that their heritage is oppressive: racist, “white,” and “heteronormative.”]

These standards should scare the living daylights out of parents in Minnesota. And make no mistake about it—these standards have the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers written all over them.

This is why parents need to pay attention to what is going on in our schools. These standards play 100% into Marxist ideology.

As Liberty Sentinel notes, “the new licensing standards will force every Minnesota teacher and school to become Marxist revolution indoctrination centers.”

Pay attention, people…they’re no longer even trying to hide what they are doing.

A Republican lawmaker from Montana appeared on The Todd Starnes Show and blasted the far left, claiming they are “trying to destroy our families, keep us from practicing our faith, and brainwash our children.” Such was what Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) told Starnes.

Starnes began the program by relating a story out of Montana, where a zoo in Billings, Zoo Montana, is hosting…what else…a drag queen story hour.

“This is all part of the gay pride celebrations here in Montana. And they’re inviting the children to come to the zoo where the drag queens will socialize with the children and then they’ll be able to go check out the zoo,” Starnes said.

“They’re calling it a family friendly event. Funny, that’s what they called the gay pride parade in Los Angeles. And we’ve got the video showing grown men dressed as women, dancing atop eggplants, and doing Lord knows what, anyway…”

Rosendale then told Starnes his constituents were “deeply disturbed” by the zoo event, and that some had threatened to pull  their support from the zoo based on the planned event.

Rosendale referred to the drag queen story hour plan as a “very strange and outlandish plan that they have to expose children to such perverted sexual acts,” calling the planned event “disappointing.”

Starnes asked the congressman if the zoo had rendered an explanation as to why they felt it important to expose children to such a display.

“No, they had the executive director basically doubled down on it and said that, you know, that I was being a prude or something like that because it was just a story hour for children and I’m sorry, this is a classic example of grooming these children and having them have discussions about sexuality that they should not be exposed to. And anyone that thinks that is somewhere short of child abuse is wrong, Rosendale said.

“It’s very close to pedophilia as far as I’m concerned.”

Starnes then noted a recent Bloomberg report that identified a significant increase in the number of young people identifying as either transgender or non-binary, and posed whether there might be a correlation between the current indoctrination attempts from the left.

“I’m troubled by it. I don’t know how much of that is accurate because unfortunately, a child can make a statement and all of a sudden the public school system can put them into a category where they’re having this confusion about who they are, what they are,” Rosendale said.

“And then I myself for the first time, saw these liberals on Tik Tok about a month ago and was absolutely aghast at watching teachers, schoolteachers have conversations with their students saying…well you know, when you’re born, the doctor takes a look at you and makes his best decision about whether you’re a little boy or a little girl. But sometimes they can make mistakes…”

That, Rosendale said, is where he draws the line, claiming teachers don’t have the  right to have such discussions with their students. That isn’t why parents send their children to school…they don’t send them to be indoctrinated into leftist ideology.

“People want their children to go to school, they want them to be safe. They want them to get their education, their math, their reading, their science skills,” Rosendale said.

“They’re not looking for these teachers to start having conversations with them about sexuality. And quite frankly, if you feel compelled to have conversations with children about sexuality, you’re not a teacher. You’re a pedophile.”

Starnes then played a clip from Libs off Tik Tok in which a grade schoolteacher was waxing poetic over “affirmation” she gets from her sixth grade students:

“I’ve been wanting to do this for the past two years. Sorry, I’m like so emotional and I just haven’t had the courage to do it out of fear of just judgment, mostly from parents, but…I’ve had these kids in fourth grade and now I have them in sixth and I’m sending them to middle school. And I love these kids so  much and I trust them and they make me feel safe and I know they love me and it just felt right. And I did it and it was so beautiful. They had so many questions, which I loved. They wanted to learn and they wanted to learn about me, and they were so eager and a few of them clapped, which was so precious.”

“I mean Congressman, this is a schoolteacher finding affirmation from her students,” Starnes said.

“She’s outing herself to her own students in a public school classroom.”

“This is strange and it is disturbing, and she should be removed from the classroom,” Rosendale said.

“And as you said, for the teacher to be looking for affirmation and support from the fourth and sixth graders and having those discussions. This is not about education. That’s what I call pedophile.”

Rosendale however doesn’t believe it is an issue for Congress to concern itself with and is better left to local school boards. He also noted that some parents are pushing back by homeschooling their children.

“This is why we’re seeing a lot more people across the nation that ate seeking out and running for these local school board positions,” Rosendale said, “because they understand now, when we went through COVID, when they started listening in to the classrooms and they were actually educating their children themselves at home, they discovered there was a lot of discoveries made about the grooming and the brainwashing that was taking place across this country.”

Starnes agreed and noted the numbers of parents “pulling their kids out of these public school indoctrination centers.”

“Let me tell you, I’m really just a firm believer that the hard, hard left is trying to destroy our families,” Rosendale concluded.

“They’re trying to keep us from practicing our faith, and they’re trying to brainwash our children. And everyone needs to stand up and say, we’re not going to tolerate it. The emperor is not wearing clothes. And you can say what you want about me, but the truth is the truth, and we’re just not going to put up with that anymore.”

Are you familiar with “transition closets?” In simple terms, they are the primary reason why parents need to homeschool their children.

PJ Media, citing a report in the Epoch Times, reports that the so-called “trans closets” have been making an appearance in public schools throughout California and elsewhere.

For people who opposed gay marriage when it was legalized by the Supreme Court years ago, there was a concern that this was only the first step, that the alphabet mafia would take this small victory and continue pushing their radical agenda. “Love is love” is one thing…targeting our kids is a far different conversation.

For example, as PJ Media notes, last year, a group called the “San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus” got itself in a jackpot after it released a song whereby the chorus bragged that:

“We’ll convert your children…We’re coming for your children.” This was a clear warning that the radical LGBTLMNOP were targeting children. As we have seen over the past year, nothing could be clearer.

Back to “transition closets.” In a piece in PJ Media in March, Megan Fox explained the idea behind them.

“The whole point of a trans closet in a school with minors is to allow students to hide their ‘gender identity’ from their parents.”

In other words, little Johnny gets dressed for schools in clothing appropriate for little boys.

However when he gets to school, little Johnny, with full approval by the public schools goes into a “trans closet,” changes into girls’ clothes and spends the day playing make believe as a “girl.”

At the end of the day, Johnny goes back to the “trans closet,” changes back into his gender appropriate clothing and goes back home, his parents none the wiser that the school for which they pay taxes has contributed to their child’s psychological decline.

The fact of the matter is, public school teachers (oh, it happens in private schools too, make no mistake about it) aren’t even trying to necessarily hide what they’re doing any longer. A teacher in California on TikTok (where a collection of social misfits congregate) said exactly what they are up to:

“The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are.”

In other words, public schools are engaged in circumventing the will of parents and are actively working to engage in nothing less than child abuse. Yet, they get away with it.

Last week at a White House event, our delusional “commander in chief” actually said the quiet part out loud, when he asserted that children don’t belong to parents “when they’re in the classroom.”

“They’re all our children. And the reason you’re the teachers of the year is because you recognize that. They’re not somebody else’s children. They’re like yours when they’re in the classroom,” Biden said, according to Yahoo News.

Later in his remarks, Biden railed against politicians “trying to ban books, even math books.” What he failed to mention is the books that some are attempting to ban may indeed be “math books,” however they relate math to concepts such as critical race theory or LGBTQ indoctrination. They are clearly being used to push a radical left agenda.

According to PJ Media, the teacher in the TikTok video isn’t just a wacko low-level teacher. His name is Thomas Martin-Edwards, founder of an organization called the “Queer Teacher Fellowship,” and is listed on his Twitter page as the assistant principal of San Ramon Valley High School. However it is believed he may in fact have moved on, since Epoch Times has him listed as a Spanish teacher in the Oakland (CA) Unified School District.

Epoch Times notes that Martin-Edwards “is also transgender. He has posted himself in the classroom showing off the stilettos he wears to school.” The question is, why? Why do these teachers find it necessary to discuss what they do in the privacy of their homes with their students? Do straight teachers discuss their sexual adventures with their students in the classroom?

We would submit that if they did, the police would be knocking on their doors and they would also be seeking new employment. Why is it different with the alphabet community?

A more important question is why are teachers and school administrators trying to hide what they’re doing from parents? If what they are doing is indeed “normal” as they assert, why are they doing so in secret?

According to Amare Roush, who founded The Transition Closet claims the secrecy is being implemented for the students’ “protection:”

“We do provide a safe space for kids whose parents are not accepting, because it’s known to help lower the suicide rate. These kids are going to do it anyway, we just want a way to provide them with a way to do it safely to where they’re not wearing clothes that are too small for them, or doing so in a way that’s going to get them hurt by their parents.”

Did you get that? They’re trying to “save” the kids from their parents. Unbelievable.

How much is this new woke educational system actually contributing to the so-called “gender confusion” these kids are experiencing? As PJ Media notes, would kids even give this stuff a second thought “if teachers weren’t presenting it as something good and acceptable and even heroic in the face of parental opposition and obstinacy? Would they do it if doing it weren’t celebrated and lauded everywhere?” We propose probably not. But since this now appears to be the “cool” thing to do, the shiny new object, obviously kids are attracted to it.

The presence of these trans closets is fairly new in the K-12 world, however, have been apparently available on college campuses for years. Epoch Times notes that “Marshall University, the University of Arkansas, Penn State, and the University of California are among colleges that have been operating trans closets for years.”

While our primary adversaries in the world—Russia and China—are on the move academically and militarily, the United States is engaged in woke transgender indoctrination of our youngest and most vulnerable. What does this portend for the future of our country?

WESTFIELD, NJ- While Florida has taken steps to protect children (at least up to age nine), liberal hell holes such as New Jersey have gone in the opposite direction.

According to the New York Post, second graders in New Jersey will be required to take classes including discussions in “gender identity” because six and even-year-olds apparently don’t need to concentrate on learning to read and write, as well as other skills that will actually help them.

According to Fox News, children in the second grade will partake in a 30-minute lesson called “Pink, Blue and Purple,” which will teach the children to define “gender, gender identity, and gender role stereotypes. But fear not…they’re not trying to “trans” the kids or anything.

Moreover, the lesson includes instructions for teachers to advise their students that no matter whether they have a penis or a vagina, their sexual identity is up to them, based on materials handed out to parents at a Westfield Board of Education meeting in February. The materials were also posted online.

The lesson plan told children that they “might feel like” they’re a boy “even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are ‘girl’ parts.”

“You might feel like you’re a girl even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are ‘boy’ parts. And you might not feel like you’re a boy or a girl, but you’re a little bit of both. No matter how you feel, you’re perfectly normal.”

Sorry, but this is sick and it is evil. Want to know why parents are pissed off and have had enough? Right here should tell you. It is amazing that taxpayer money funds this BS for a group that accounts for less than 1% of the population.

How long is it, given the slippery slope we’ve been heading down especially over the past year, that schools start teaching children that it’s ok for “minor attracted persons” to touch their private parts?

Think it couldn’t happen? If you were told two years ago that kids would be instructed in public schools that a child’s sexual identity is not a matter of biology but feelings, would you have believed it? Not likely.

Time was, teaching children about the “birds and the bees” was up to parents, but that is clearly no longer the case. It started out with “sex education” in high school and over time, that started to trickle down to younger students. And now here we are.

Another lesson plan for children in second grade is called “Understanding Our Bodies.” That includes illustrated discussions of human genitals for kids as young as seven so they can use “medically accurate names” for their private parts. Not happy to leave well enough along, the lesson also says:

“Tell students: ‘There are some body parts that mostly just girls have and some parts that mostly just boys have,’” it says. [emphasis added]

The note to teachers further says: “Being a boy or a girl doesn’t have to mean you have those parts, but for most people that is how their bodies are.”

Contrast this nonsense to the Parental Protection Bill passed by the Florida legislature and signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis, which  forbids this satanic nonsense being taught to children up to age nine, which truth be told should still be older. But at least it’s a start.

The planned lessons in New Jersey are supposed to go into effect in September, however some parents and New Jersey lawmakers are appalled by the content.

“I am honestly appalled at this curriculum,” Maria DeMaio-Esposito told the Asbury Park Press. She is a mother of two.

“I am debating whether to place my child in a private school if I can afford it. Is this curriculum really necessary? Children need to stay children. Their innocence is beautiful and I do not want their little minds filled with this very adult topic.”

While parents have the ability to opt their children out of taking the lessons, some parents feel such a policy will leave kids stigmatized.

“My granddaughter is going to be entering eighth grade, if she opts out of a class, she’s going to be looked at by her peers in a different manner,” Paula McCarthy-Mammana said, noting the curriculum “makes me sick.”

“She may be bullied or harassed and I don’t agree with a child being targeted because of family moral issues.”

Meanwhile, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) blasted the curriculum, telling Fox News: “I think this is just a further indication of crazy liberal policies of my successor, Phil Murphy, who is in the progressive movement.”

“He’s on the left of the progressive movement, and this kind of stuff should not be going on.”

Also weighing in was New Jersey State Senator Tom Kean Jr. (R), who slammed the Garden State’s “outrageous” gender studies push.

“Parents rightfully were angry at these standards and stood up across New Jersey, Republicans and Democrats, alike to make sure that their kids have the education—core curriculum education—that they deserve,” Kean told Martha MacCallum on America’s Newsroom on Fox.

The backlash has New Jersey’s far-left governor rethinking whether the leaked curriculum is appropriate for second-graders.

That didn’t placate Kean, however, who called Murphy “out of touch,” noting that he was only “reassessing” the curriculum but had yet to mandate any changes. Murphy accused his opponents of “misrepresenting” the lessons, but what we addressed above came right out of the curriculum. It seems pretty clear they are attempting to indoctrinate young children in transgender ideology.

“We need to make sure that the parents’ voices are heard,” Kean Jr. said. “I’ve started a website yesterday called, so we can continue to advocate for the parents to make sure these educational standards never see the light of day in New Jersey for kids as young as kindergarten through second grade.”

Meanwhile State Sen. Holly Schepisi told Fox News, “as a mom and a legislator, I can appreciate the need for students to receive age-appropriate instruction, but this is beyond the pale.

“We knew that when Gov. Murphy used the cover of the pandemic to push these new standards through that something was terribly wrong, and now we can clearly see why they needed to do this in secret,” she said.

“The agenda has swung so far left in an attempt to sexualize our precious children that parents are fighting back.”

The superintendent of the Westfield schools, Raymond Gonzalez attempted to downplay the curriculum to Fox News, claiming that the lessons were “a sample list of resources aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards to be considered as school districts work on revisions to the health and [physical education] curriculum.”

“We made it clear at the meeting and subsequent meetings that these are resources only—they are not state-mandated—and that the district is in the process of developing its revised curriculum to meet state standards.”

Perhaps Attorney General Merrick Garland and his Department of Justice should re-focus their assets on the institutional child abuse that is being propagated by state legislatures and complicit school boards across the country instead of harassing parents who are concerned about that very thing.
