Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) implies only blacks, Hispanics evade fares in a racist, revealing tweet

BOSTON, MA- Chrome dome strikes again. While people in Ukraine fight for their lives under a hail of missiles and bombs from Russian madman Vladimir Putin, Ayanna Pressley has her priorities laser focused.

Pressley, one of the infamous “squad” members, tweeted out a reminder about the “Freedom to Move Act,” which she co-sponsored by another useless Massachusetts politician Sen. Ed Markey (D) last April.

“Black and Latinx [which even Hispanics don’t use] commuters are disproportionately criminalized by fare evasion policies.

Congress must pass my #FreedomtoMove Act to grant black and brown riders the freedom to navigate their community without fear.”

So this is apparently along the lines of “racist highways,” which is a concept highlighted by our feckless Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Who knew that asphalt, concrete, and steel could be “racist,” but here we are.

Town Hall reports that Pressley’s office explained the legislation as follows:

The legislation “would provide public transit agencies with the support they need to provide farefree transit and handle their long-overdue system improvements.”

Ah, that’s it. Free public transportation! You know, because buses, trains and subways cost nothing to operate.

Of course, you knew that anything coming out of Democrats has to have some kind of a “green” aspect to it, with the legislation promising to “make transportation more…green…for transit riders.” Oh, and people who don’t feel like paying for the privilege of riding taxpayer provided public transit won’t face criminal charges.

“Grantees would be required to work in partnership with community advocates and stakeholders to report on how resources will be used to improve the reliability of transit service for low-income and historically underserved communities including ways the grantee will improve connectivity to critical services and reduce commute times,” the explanation reads.

It then goes on to spell out exactly how “Grantees are also required to do an evaluation of current fare evasion policies and how they plan to eliminate such policies and end the criminalization of fare evasion.”

That of course refers to “black and Latinx” commuters who jump turnstiles to avoid paying fares. Sounds pretty racist to us…almost like Pressley is saying the only ones who jump fares are blacks and Hispanics.

Pressley of course ignores the costs incurred by cities through fare evasion, often running into the millions of dollars. For example, in the first three months of 2021, the MTA in New York City lost $56 million for that period alone. Meanwhile a report from earlier this year found the MBTA in Boston is estimated to lose some $35 million per year in fare evasion losses.

Pressley (justifiably) got lit up on Twitter for her dumb tweet.

“If they don’t pay the fare, they are stealing, which makes them a thief and therefore a criminal.

How do you not understand how the laws work?

Also your law is racist if you have to have carve outs based on the color of the offender.”

“Soft bigotry of low expectations on clear display.”

“Brothers and sisters of all races and creeds, join us as we make fun of people who unironically use the word Latinx.”

“Look y’all. Hispanic, Latin American are gender neutral. So we have already gender neutral options to describe the Latino community. Adding an x and creating a new word comes of as performative.”

That last tweet came from Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), one of Pressley’s Democrat colleagues. Gallego said last year that his staff is not permitted to use the term in official communications. That came after a Politico poll showed only 2 percent of Hispanics use the term.

That tweet said:

“To be clear my office is not allowed to use ‘Latinx’ in official communications.

When Latino politicos use the term it is largely to appease white rich progressives who think that is the term we use. It is a vicious circle of confirmation bias.”

Well, apparently “black rich progressives” like Pressley are unaware of that fact. But hey when you’re a virtue signaling progressive moonbat, the facts don’t matter.

For more on the hypocrite Pressley, we invite you to:

The following contains editorial content which is the opinion of the writer.

WASHINGTON, DC- Just another hypocritical “Squad” member. We have reported a number of times on members of the far-left moonbat “Squad,” the people who want your protection defunded but never theirs. One of the biggest hypocrites of all is of course Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), but she has some stiff competition in chrome dome Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).

The Daily Caller reports that Pressley, who has repeatedly and loudly called to defund the police, was generous in using taxpayer money to protect her sorry butt, according to information reviewed by the Daily Caller.

Information contained in a newly released Statement of Disbursements of the House document reviewed by the Daily Caller followed up on information contained in an April 2021 report which showed Pressley, and her fellow leftist “squad” members spent thousands of dollars of campaign funds on their own private security.

According to the new document, Pressley was found to have spent $63,000 of her Member Representational Allowance (MRA) on “security service” in 2021—with $28,000 of that amount spent between Oct. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021; $35,000 was spent between May 2021 and August 2021, the report showed.

The reports showed the money was directed to Alisa Tatarian, a financial administrator at the U.S. House of Representatives. The report doesn’t make it clear how that money was spent.

The Daily Caller reached out to Tatarian, as well as Pressley’s office a number of times about the money spent on “security service,” however no response was received.

“The Member’s Representational Allowance (MRA) is intended for individual member offices’ expenditures and receipts during a single legislative yar.

The MRA is funded through fiscal year appropriations and authorized annually by the Committee on House Administration (CHA). It is non-transferable between legislative years,” the House government website states.

A Republican source told the Daily Caller that such a financial administrator handles disbursements and reimbursements for members of Congress, making it unlikely that Pressley actually paid Tatarian for security services, but instead listed her name due to the disbursement process.

After hearing of the report, Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the number three Republican in the House, slammed Pressley, noting that she wants protection for herself but not those she represents in Congress., said in a statement to the Daily Caller.

“Ayanna Pressley and her fellow Squad members have repeatedly called for our police to be defunded while simultaneously paying top dollar for their own private security with taxpayer funds. All while violent crime rates are surging across our cities.

Pressley and the rest of the Squad want police for them but not for us. Democrats are the party of elitist hypocrites and defunding the police. The American people know this, and that is why this November there will be a red tsunami,” Stefanik said.

Back in June 2020, Pressley told TIME Magazine that she supported efforts to defund police, saying it is “about the investment in our communities which have historically been divested from.”

During Biden’s State of Confusion address last week, he attempted to reverse course, saying that America should be funding the police, not defunding them, however he is fooling nobody.

Both he and his vice president have stood silent as members of the Democrat Party have repeatedly called to defund the police. In fact, both of them have themselves called for police to be defunded.

The only reason for Biden’s apparent “pivot” is because Democrats are looking to get shellacked in November’s mid-terms and one of the reasons is because of exploding crime and anti-police sentiment.

For more on the abject hypocrisy of the “Squad” concerning defunding the police while spending big bucks on their own security, we invite you to read our prior report:

The following contains editorial content written by a retired Chief of Police and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

WASHINGTON, DC- Democrats are nothing if not hypocrites. That has been evident over the past 18 months as whenever there is an incident of a politician busting coronavirus regulations, 99% of the time it’s a Democrat.

They have also taken that level of hypocrisy over to defunding the police, where some of the biggest proponents of cutting police protection for their constituents are among the biggest spenders when it comes to their own security.

Leading the pack in the double-standards department are the far-left members of “the squad”…in particular Alexandria “Tax the Rich” Ocasio Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and the newest and probably dumbest member of the squad, Cori Bush (D-MO).

These four are among the most vocal anti-cop loud mouths, but according to Federal Election Commission records, they are among the biggest spenders when it comes to protecting their own asses, The New York Post reports.

All of these legislators (of course) support the police reform bill, named after career criminal George Floyd as the “Justice in Policing Act.” The bill passed the House last summer but sits in the Senate currently awaiting action.

“Chrome dome” Pressley has also sponsored the BREATHE Act, claiming the Floyd act doesn’t do enough to screw over law enforcement officers. Under that legislation, it would totally eliminate federal law enforcement agencies, in particular the DEA, ICE and Customs and Border Enforcement.

Not happy with that, Pressley has also sponsored an act called the “Ending Qualified Immunity Act, which would make it easier for individuals to sue state and local officials, in particular police officers. Of course, Pressley made sure it doesn’t include her.

Pressley and Bush also are co-sponsors of the People’s Response Act, which would create a public-safety agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (more government employees) which would replace incarceration with feel-good social programs and (of course) money—”$7.5 billion in grants to community-based organizations as alternatives to policing.”

But obviously a reduction in public safety doesn’t include them…they make sure they’ve got plenty for themselves. While most of them rely on private security to protect them, while Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) has the intestinal fortitude to use local Yonkers police to provide protection for him.

The Post reported that FEC records showed Bush spent nearly $70,000 out of her campaign funds on personal security between April 15 and June 28, more than any of her fellow leftists on the squad and in fact more than any other House member. That number is about $20,000 higher than the median household income for residents in her congressional district, which includes St. Louis.

Bush, clearly one of the more illiterate members of the House often goes around calling attention to herself wearing Black Lives Matter garb or one that reads “Y’all Gone Stop Killing Us!” She believes that defunding the police would prevent deaths of people such as thug Michael Brown (who tried to disarm a police officer and was dispatched for doing so) and Breonna Taylor.

Bush seems to disregard what is happening in her own district, were St. Louis has seen 130 homicide victims thus far in 2021, all but ten of the victims were blacks. Not one was killed by a police officer.

Bush thinks herself a legend in her own mind and says that she “needs” security, because she’s a “black woman who puts her life on the line.” Ah yes, she’s a hero, right up there with our service members who were killed in Kabul a couple of weeks back, or the Houston police officer who paid with his life on Monday.

Bush claims she has been targeted by “white supremacists,” whom she said includes police officers who have made threats and “racist attempts” on her life. After all, she has “too much work to do” and “too many people need help right now.” C’mon man, she is the only one to do it, a virtual caped crusader in a BLM t-shirt!

In a CBS interview last month, Bush said people need to “suck it up” because “defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets because we’re trying to save lives.”

So far, Bush’s efforts to defund the police have claimed two victims—both on her security detail.

Two St. Louis City Sheriff’s deputies were fired after Sheriff Vernon Betts—who is black by the way lest she claim it was racist—warned the two they had not received approval for second jobs, nor did they have private security licenses.

Bush’s security payments seem a bit on the suspicious side.

The security payments accounted for about a third of her $200,000 second quarter campaign expenditures, with a majority of that amount–$54,120.92—going to RS&T Security Consulting, a New York security firm.

One local recipient—Nathaniel Davis—received three payments totaling $15,000, and ironically his address is the same as Bush’s campaign committee. Money laundering? You decide.

Meanwhile, AOC, when she isn’t attending $30,000 Met Gala’s in a several thousand-dollar gown that says, “Tax the Rich”, makes sure she protects herself as well.

Her $4,000 expenditure for security during the second quarter was a significant drop from the $45,000 she spent in the first quarter.

That money however didn’t remain in her district, which comprises part of the Bronx and Queens. Most of that first quarter spending—around $35,000—went to firms with Brooklyn addresses, with three payments of $3,000 each going to C’est Bon collective and two payments totaling $25,000 to Three Bridges LLC.

In addition, she spent $1,552.50 to a Houston firm to provide security when she visited the Texas city during hurricane relief efforts.

None of the businesses used by either Bush or Ocasio-Cortez had much online information available about their respective businesses.

One—Tullis Worldwide Protection, located in Virginia and which Ocasio-Cortez paid $4,000 in January claims its CEO, Deven Tullis had completed stints with Blackwater, a company whose employees were accused of committing war crimes in Iraq. Tullis said when questioned about his that he is “not hiring social workers—which of course the squad prefer.

Both Pressley and Omar have spent less than self-impressed Bush and AOC, but still far more than fellow House members. Pressley spent over $4,000 in the first quarter while trimming that back to $3,500 in the second.

Most of Pressley’s expenditures were local to Massachusetts however she did spend some money for a Virginia security company in January and a Washington, D.C. firm in March. Omar also reduced her own security slightly from first to second quarter, going from $3,000 to $2,800, all spent locally in St. Paul and a nearby city, Ramsey, Minnesota.

Perhaps the biggest hypocrite in the squad is the alpha-male Bowman. Newly elected to Congress in 2020, he jumped on the George Floyd Act bandwagon, and said that it was a floor—not a ceiling—in police reform.

Bowman has referred to police officers as agents of “white supremacy.” He represents portions of the Bronx and Westchester County where he uses the services of the Yonkers Police Department, the largest police agency in the county, to provide extra protection for his personal home he shares with his family.

The hypocrisy of Bowman is not lost on the president of the Yonkers Police Benevolent Association, Keith Olson, who noted:

“Not long ago, the Congressman called for dramatically less policing in the most violent, crime-ridden neighborhoods…Asking these same police officers to protect your family while creating policies that make communities of color less safe is simply disgraceful.”

For our original reporting on the hypocrisy of Bowman, we invite you to:

The following contains editorial content written by a retired Chief of Police and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

YONKERS, NY- Frauds. The Democrat Party is full of them. Actually, the political left is full of them.

From LeBron James hiring off-duty LAPD officers for a security detail at his home to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot being protected by a Chicago PD police detail, there are innumerable examples of liberal hypocrisy.

The latest comes to us from the only testosterone-laden (we think) member of the “squad,” Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY). Bowman is one of the loudest and most obnoxious voices in the “defund the police” chorus.

Of course, when Bowman says, “defund the police,” he doesn’t mean for him. Only you and me. And of course, those who live in crime-ridden neighborhoods.

According to the New York Post, Bowman asked for—and received—a special detail to watch over his home in Yonkers, NY in the days immediately following the lamest “insurrection” in history, the one at the US Capitol on January 6.

According to Yonkers Police Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos in a statement to the Post, he said:

“About a week after the Jan. 6th incident at the Capitol, we received a request from the Congressman’s office for increased police presence at his residence,” the detective said.

“In response, our Intelligence Unit was notified of the request and the local precinct instituted what is called a directed patrol at the Congressman’s home for the next two weeks.”

Typically, such a request would result in some type of a paid detail, however it is unknown if Bowman or his office paid for such a detail. Lt. Politopoulos said that the police department has not noted anything unusual in Bowman’s area over the past couple of years.

The incident on January 6th, hyped into a frenzied status by Democrats and their media sycophants, occurred as a couple of thousand mostly peaceful protesters descended upon the Capitol and the immediate area to protest last November’s election, which was (and still is) mired in controversy.

Leftists have claimed the incident put the country on the “brink” of having our “democracy overturned,” however as Joe Biden reminded us last week, the government has F15s and nuclear bombs.

So it is doubtful a couple thousand people led by a dude in a Viking hat were anywhere near overturning anything, except a couple of chairs and a desk.

Leftists have also called the incident a “deadly insurrection,” but the only one killed at the protest was an unarmed military veteran, Ashli Babbitt, killed by a still unnamed law enforcement official. Some have identified the shooter as a Capitol Police Department officer, but video of the shooting seems to indicate it was a plain-clothes officer who shot Babbitt.

Bowman, just like drama-queen Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was nowhere near the Capitol when the incident occurred, having been at the Longworth House Office Building, located a third of a mile south of the main Capitol building.

None of those engaged in the protest made it to Longworth, which was actually where some members of Congress were evacuated to.

The Post was told that police were requested at Bowman’s house after he had allegedly “received threats.”

“US Capitol Police advised us to reach out to local authorities to request heightened patrolling of his residence until the situation was mitigated. We followed their advice,” Bowman’s chief of staff, Sarah Iddrissu told the outlet.

She refused to detail the threats other than to say there were “varying degrees of alarm.” She also refused to answer questions about Bowman’s duplicity in requesting extra police as he has called to defund the police and his general anti-cop positions.

Bowman, a self-avowed Democratic Socialist (there sure are a lot of those, aren’t there?) has tied himself to the crazy train called the “squad,” which is comprised of far-left neo-Marxist lunatics. Besides AOC, the group is also comprised off Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Cori Bush (D-MO).

Bowman, a freshman ousted a 16-term incumbent Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) in the Westchester-based district’s Democratic primary. Bowman’s elevation came just a couple months after George Floyds’ death from a combination of meth/fentanyl, heart problems and positional asphyxia.

Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin was convicted in his death and was recently sentenced to 22 years in prison. Chauvin has vowed to appeal.

In a blog called The Appeal, Bowman last year addressed what he calls mass incarceration and alleged police brutality.

“As a black man in America, I know what it’s like to feel occupied in my own community. Policing is the gateway to the corrupt system of mass incarceration, which has left many people in communities of color, especially working-class communities of color, feel terrorized.”

Bowman claimed he was allegedly “attacked” by police when he was 11 years old and had been handcuffed for minor traffic violations.

Last December, Bowman called to defund the police, saying the system was “cruel and inhumane” and “can’t be reformed.”

Bowman also called for cutting the NYPD budget, using the leftist buzzword of “reimagining” public safety, while allocating resources to public health and job training.

A Fox News report last December, after his election continued the same theme.

“Historically when our communities have needed jobs, they didn’t bring us jobs, they brought us police and they created a system of mass incarceration,” Bowman said.

“And we live in a country where if you’re black or brown, you’re more likely to be killed by police [which has been statistically debunked], and more likely to be incarcerated, and more likely to not afford bail.”

Bowman even became angry with Biden’s puppet master, Barack Obama who last year suggested Democrats’ use of the “defund the police” mantra wasn’t doing them any good.

“The problem is America’s comfort with black death—not discomfort with slogans,” Bowman said of Obama’s statement.

This is of course absurd, since Democrats, Bowman included, have been ignoring the genocide in cities such as Chicago where black on black crime continues to take scores of lives every month.

An overwhelming number of rank-and-file Americans are concerned with the crime taking place in America’s largest cities, run by Democrats, where more black lives are lost on a summer weekend than in a year at the hands of police.

Bowman has also gotten the leftist marching orders, referring to police as white supremacists, which is the new buzzword for Democrats in trying to attack and undermine those who supported former President Donald Trump.

Bowman’s hypocrisy didn’t go unnoticed by some in law enforcement.

“Congressman Bowman’s cry for extra policing at his home is hypocrisy at its worst,” said Keith Olson, president of the Yonkers Police Benevolent Association in a statement to the Post. “Not long ago, the Congressman called for dramatically less policing in the most violent, crime-ridden neighborhoods…asking these same police officers to protect your family while creating policies that make communities of color less safe is simply disgraceful.”

It was also noted by some outside of law enforcement:

Bowman of course isn’t the only “squad” member to say one thing and do another. Law Enforcement Today previously reported on the “squad” members spending nearly $80,000 on their personal security between January and March, citing a report in the Daily Caller. That report may be found below.

WASHINGTON, DC- You’ve got to love leftist hypocrisy.

From Patrisse Cullors of Black Lives Matter buying millions of dollars of real estate in primarily white neighborhoods to Nancy Pelosi having an eight-foot fence with concertina wire on top to “protect” the U.S. Capitol, their chutzpah knows no bounds.

Now we’re finding out that the members of the neo-Marxist “squad”, who have been calling for police to be defunded themselves pay tens of thousands of dollars on private security…for themselves.

The Daily Caller reports that Federal Election Commission records reviewed by them shows the level of hypocrisy shown by several of the squad members.

The reports the Daily Caller reviewed showed that Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Ayanna Pressley (MA) and Cori Bush (MO) all spent thousands of dollars out of campaign funds on their own security.

One such hypocrite, “affectionately” known as AOC last year sharply criticized a decision by New York City to cut the NYPD budget by $1 billion, complaining it did not go far enough.

“Defunding police means defunding police,” the former bartender said in a statement.

“It does not mean budget tricks of funny math. It does not mean moving school police officers from the NYPD budget to the Department of Educations’ budget, so the exact same police remain in schools.”

Ocasio-Cortez had claimed in a 2020 Instagram live that the entire country would look just like the peaceful suburbs if only we could get rid of police. That of course is absurd on its face.

“Affluent white communities live in a world where they choose to fund youth, health, housing, etc. more than they fund the police,” she said at the time.

The absurdity of that statement clearly doesn’t take into account that crime rates are much lower in the suburbs, therefore the need for less police. Clearly her economics major didn’t include any classes in common sense.

Here is what the Daily Caller found about Ocasio-Cortez:

  • In January, February and March 2021, Ocasio-Cortez spent $3,000 a month on a security consultant based in Brooklyn, New York. Records show she spent $9,000 for three months of security consulting.
  • On Jan. 25, 2021, she spent $24,279.13 on “security.”
  • On Jan 19, 2021, she spent $3,986.60 on “security services.”
  • On Feb. 2, 2021, she spent $849.22 on “security services.”
  • On Feb. 25, 2021, she spent $1552.50 at 24&7 Security & Investigations, Inc., which her office claimed was for a “security detail in Houston.”

And what of resident anti-Semite Ilhan Omar, who never seems to have a problem playing fast and loose with funds?

  • On Jan. 20, 2021, Omar spent $66.97 on “Security Services” (a bargain!)
  • On Jan. 29, 2021, Omar spent $202.70 on “Security Services”
  • On Feb. 19, 2021 she spent another $66.97 on “Security Services.”
  • On Feb. 26, 2021 Omar spent $2,700 on “Security Services.”
  • On March 16, 2021, Omar spent another $66.97 on “Security Services.”

In an appearance on CNN in June of last year, Omar was asked about defunding the police, to which she claimed the system cannot be reformed.

“You can’t really reform a department that is rotten to the root. What you can do is rebuild,” Omar said. “No one is saying crimes will not be investigated.”

She continued, “What we are saying is the current infrastructure that exists as policing in our city should not exist anymore, and we can’t go about creating a different process with the same infrastructure in place.”

Pressley, who might want to invest some of her security money in a wig and someone who is another anti-police zealot spent $4,186.75 on “Security Services” according to her April quarterly 2021 filing:

  • On Jan. 26, 2021, Pressley spent $1,292.00 while home in Massachusetts.
  • On Jan. 27, 2021, Pressley spent $1,167.50 for security in Alexandria, Virginia.
  • On March 4, 2021, Pressley spent $675.25 on ADT security, based in Boca Raton, Florida.
  • Five days later, on March 9, 2021, she spent $252.00 again in Massachusetts.
  • On March 19, 2021, Pressley spent $700.00 for a Washington, D.C.-based security company, LGC Security LLC.

Pressley, in an interview with TIME last June said she is a supporter of defunding police departments, claiming it is “about the investment in our communities which have historically been divested from.”

Then there is freshman Cori Bush of St. Louis, who strongly advocates defunding police. She spent over $30,000 for her own security according to her April Quarterly 2021 financial report:

  • On Jan. 18, 2021, Bush spent $1,060.00 on security provided from Whole Armor Executive Protection in Bowie, Maryland.
  • On Jan. 21, 2021, Bush spent $5,000 on security from Nathaniel Davis, Jr. in her home state of Missouri.
  • On Jan. 25, 2021 Bush spent $530.00 on security again from Davis, this time in Palo Alto, California.
  • On Feb. 17, 2021, Bush spent $7743.75 on security from RS&T Security Counseling LLC in New York City.
  • On Feb. 25, 2021, Bush spent $5,000 on security from Sandler, Reiff, Lamb, Rosenstein & Birk in Washington, D.C.
  • On Feb. 26, 2021, Bush spent $5,812.00 on security again from RS&T Security Counseling, LLC in New York City.
  • On March 15, 2021, she spent $5,000 on security from Nathaniel Davis in her hometown of St. Louis.
  • Again on March 15, 2020, Bush spent $2,456.25 on security from RS&T Security Consulting , LLC. In New York City.

In December 2020, Bush sent out a tweet criticizing former President Barack Obama for his refusal to call for defunding of police.

“With all due respect, Mr. President—let’s talk about losing people. We lost Michael Brown Jr. We lost Breonna Taylor. We’re losing our loved ones to police violence. It’s not a slogan. It’s a mandate for keeping our people alive. Defund the police,” she said in a tweet.

Yes, she actually mentioned Michael Brown.

The Daily Caller said they reached out to all four “squad” members about the large expenditures for security, none of whom responded.

The outlet also reached out to a number of the security companies listed, however they could only confirm they provided armed security, but were unable to comment on the nature of services provided to the four neo-Marxist congresswomen.
