I was right where the bomb exploded and the hole was the size of a house…” said Michael “Mike” Burke in this episode of the Law Enforcement Today Radio Show and Podcast. “Brothers Before Others is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charity, composed of Active and Retired Law Enforcement officers. Our organization has its origins in a closed (private) group on Facebook, which gave its members the ability to share experiences that they feel only others in the field would understand. From this safe and supportive environment sprang various initiatives that allowed Brothers Before Others (BBO) to grow to the nationally recognized charity it is today.”

“Created in 2014, BBO’s original objective was to provide a floral arrangement (via the National Flower Fund) to every officer’s department and family, ensuring that no Line of Duty Death would go unnoticed. Since the National Flower Fund’s inception, there have been over 650 floral arrangements sent to date. With the help of its over 5000 members, BBO has been involved with many other charitable endeavours.”
