Previously deported illegal immigrants invited back to U.S. will get housing and healthcare on the taxpayer dime

WASHINGTON, D.C.- According to reports, many of the deported illegal immigrants who are now getting special invites from the Biden administration to re-enter the United States are too poor to afford housing, so the government is stepping in with aid for housing and healthcare.

The housing aid is being offered to lawfully deported illegal immigrants who are being invited to return to the U.S. by Joe Biden’s pro-migration deputies.

Progressives argue that the aid is “deserved” because the illegal immigrants were “unfairly” separated from their children during the deportation process.

This housing aid that the Biden administration will just be willingly given to illegal immigrants will raise Americans’ rents, including rents paid by the poor and minority Americans whom progressives claim to support.

Steven A. Camarota, the research direction at the Center for Immigration Studies said in a statement:

“Immigration drives up housing prices. There’s no question that landlords have a vested interest in driving up demand [by boosting immigration] and then seeking subsidies to make everything affordable, meaning subsidies from taxpayers.”

He added:

“The big winners in this [migration and subsidy] process are the owners of apartments and housing for immigrants. They get an increased demand [from migrants] and they get increased subsidies [from the city].”

He continued:

“But, if you’re a low-income American…it completely undermines what you’re striving for. If the government takes [renting] ten percent more affordable and if immigration drives prices up percent, you’re not better off…if you’re a renter.”

The admission of this housing and healthcare aid reportedly came in a July 19th statement to progressive contractors who want to be paid for wrapping the poor and unskilled illegal immigrants in the taxpayer-funded federal welfare system.

The DHS statement allegedly said:

“When appropriate, the contractor shall collaborate with other providers, contractors, and stakeholders to help ensure a ‘wraparound’ approach to services. Services include but are not limited to: housing, primary health care, nutrition assistance, legal assistance, immigration, and travel processes.”

The progressives serve as enablers for investors who want the government to extract poor consumers, renters, and workers from other countries for use in the U.S. economy. The progressives seemingly embrace their supportive role, even though this influx gradually pushes millions of Americans out of decent jobs and good housing.

On July 21st, allowed the progressives to make their pitch for a wraparound contract:

“At least a third of migrant families separated at the border during the Trump administration and reunited in the U.S. so far under President Biden were homeless initially, three people familiar with estimates discussed by advocates and government officials told Axios.”

The pitch added:

“Why it matters- as the number of reunions grow, such homelessness rates have the potential to significantly strain non-governmental organizations already plagued by limited resources. Some 41 family reunifications have been completed on Biden’s watch.

With an estimated 2,100 families still separated, that’s too small a sample to gauge with certainty the extent of the housing needs moving forward.”

In the Axios report, Lee Gelernt, the ACLU’s lead attorney in its family separation lawsuit, gave a “warning” to Biden’s deputies:

“It should be in the Biden administration’s interest not to see these families…end up in homeless shelters.”

The pro-enforcement policy that temporarily separated adult illegal immigrants from their children as the adults were processed in criminal courts while the children were sheltered in other centers began in July 2017 and lasted until January 2021, when it was quickly ended by Biden’s pro-migration administration.

Biden’s deputies claim that the policy separated perhaps 4,000 children from the parents amid the vast flow of 2 million illegal immigrants, but Trump largely ended the illegal immigration inflow from mid-2019 once his deputies pushed out a series of reforms.

Trump’s reduction in migration help nudge up salaries for Americans for forcing employers to compete for American workers in a tight labor market.

In general, legal and illegal immigration moves wealth from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to investors, and from technology to stoop labor.

Investors want to import more illegal and legal immigrants, even very poor immigrants because they spike sales, rental rates, profits, and stock values. The DHS statement reportedly promises that the aid to the illegal immigrants, dubbed “class members,” will be free of any obligations or costs.

In June, Mayorkas said he will put the dignity of foreign migrants “foremost in our efforts.” For example, he ended the Trump administration’s “Public Charge” barring the award of green cars to migrants who would rely on taxpayer aid. Mayorkas claimed:

“I felt and we collectively in the Department felt that the rescission of that rule would not only restore dignity to the process, but adhere to the rule of law.”

Former ICE director slams Joe: ‘First president in history actively facilitating illegal immigration’

June 27th, 2021

EL PASO, TX- Last week, former ICE Director Tom Homan eviscerated the Biden administration’s handling on the border while appearing on Fox News Channels “Hannity.”

Homan, now a Fox News contributor told fill-in host Jesse Waters, in addressing Kamala Harris’s delayed visit to the border that she should have “been embarrassed’ by what is occurring there, Breitbart reported.

Homan told Waters that Harris going down to the border after she called Border Patrol agents Nazis was one reason she should be embarrassed, along with claiming CBP agents were running “concentration camps.”

“She’s going to go down there and see the men and women she called Nazis. She’s going to see the men and women she said run concentration camps,” Homan said.

Homan slammed Harris for not meeting with rank-and-file border patrol agents while she was in El Paso, which is in fact nearly 800 miles from ground zero in the border siege, which is in McAllen, Texas along the Rio Grande reiver.

“One thing she didn’t do while she was down there, why don’t you talk to the men and women wearing the green uniform, ask them, does the wall work? And they would have said yes, it does work,” Homan said.

Homan continued, noting that the border wall started by President Trump and stopped by the Biden administration was working, stopping the flow of drugs and illegal immigration.

“It stops drugs. It stops illegal immigration. Why did you stop building it?” he said was a question Harris should be forced to answer.

Homan continued, noting the success of the Trump administration, where illegal immigration into the United States was dropped by 80 percent, and slammed the Biden administration’s open border policies.

“How many children didn’t die across that river? How many women didn’t get raped coming across that border?” he asked, noting the success of the Trump administration’s border policies.

“How many children didn’t die over fentanyl overdoses? How many millions did the cartels not make when President Trump had declining immigration?” he continued.

Speaking to the Biden administration, Trump didn’t hold back on his criticism.

“This president has failed the American people. We have the first president in the history of this nation that’s actively facilitating illegal immigration across border crime, and it disgusts me,” Homan said.

Harris has gotten pretty snarky over the border situation, which she was put “in charge” of three months ago by Joe Biden.

It wasn’t until former President Trump said he would be visiting the border at the invitation of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott that Harris decided to make the trip to the border, albeit not where the problem is.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Harris why she had waited until now to visit the border.

“It’s not my first trip, I’ve been to the border many times,” Harris snapped, referring (obviously) to when she served as a senator.

Harris of course retreated to her “root causes” line, saying the El Paso visit built on what she “accomplished” in Guatemala and Mexico.

“Because as I’ve long said, I said back in March I was going to come to the border, so this is not a new plan, but the reality of it is we have to deal with the causes and we have to deal with the effects,” she said.

Meanwhile Harris’s husband, appearing on NBC News Today defended her visit to the border, in particular the timing, according to the New York Post.

“This is just the next phase in coordination with other parts of the administration,” Douglas Emhoff said. “Kamala Harris is not driven by any political issues or political pressure.”

Still, the odd timing of her visit wasn’t lost on former President Donald Trump.

“After months of ignoring the crisis at the Southern Border, it is great that we got Kamala Harris to finally go and see the tremendous destruction and death that they’ve created—a direct result of Biden ending my very tough but fair border policies,” Trump said in a statement.

“If Governor Abbott and I weren’t going there next week, she would have never gone,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, White House propaganda minister, er press secretary Jen Psaki also defended the timing of Harris’s visit.

“What I’m conveying to you is that, while as a part of her assignment, she has of course hosted a number of bilateral engagements, she’s visited the Northern Triangle, she’s made a number of announcements about how to address root causes,” Psaki said.

She added that Harris “was going to assess with the Department of Homeland Security and with the administration when it was the appropriate time to go.”

Clearly that “appropriate time” was when President Trump announced he was going to go.

Law Enforcement Today has been all over the border crisis, especially over the past five months. We recently reported on the governors of Texas and Arizona reaching out to other states for help in enforcing the border in light of the Biden administration’s refusal to do so.

US-MEXICO BORDER-  AZ Central is reporting that at least two border state governors, Greg Abbott (R-TX) and Doug Ducey (R-AZ) have sent a letter to governors of the other 48 states asking for additional law enforcement staff and resources to supplement their own states’ law enforcement efforts at the border.

A copy of the letter was published late last week, intended to coincide with a border summit that Gov. Abbott kicked off in Del Rio, Texas.

Both governors claim that the Biden administration “has proven unwilling or unable” to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, and in doing so cited a 20-year high in encounters with illegals last month as evidence of what they referred to as an “open-border disaster.”

“Of course, border states like Texas and Arizona are ‘ground zero’ for this crisis and bear a disproportionate share of these burdens,” the letter read.

Last Wednesday, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported they had encountered 180,034 illegals last month, with over 62% being turned away under pandemic health restrictions. That number does not include those who entered the country undetected.

In the letter, Abbott and Ducey explained efforts undertaken to boost border security in their states, including the deployment of the National Guard, as well as state resources, such as the Border Strike Force in Arizona.

However both governors argued there is much more to be done.

Both governors have declared emergencies and activated their respective National Guard units.

They have also invoked an Emergency Management Assistance Compact under those respective declarations whereby the request additional law enforcement assistance from other states in order to deal with the influx and “the accompanying threats to private property and to the safety of our citizens,” the letter read.

The governors are requesting law enforcement manpower, as well as resources such as drones and helicopters to help patrol the border.

“Crucially, this will include the power to arrest migrants who illegally cross the border into our territory” in violation of state and federal crimes the letter continued.

The outlet noted that there were currently no logistics details of the request available, including questions about costs, responsibilities and command and control of those units deployed.

“Our efforts will only be effective if we work together to secure the border, make criminal arrests, protect landowners, rid our communities of dangerous drugs, and provide Texans with the support they need and deserve,” Abbott said in a written statement last week.

A Ducey spokesperson, CJ Karamargin noted there was no question as to where Ducey and Abbott stood when it comes to border security and said the end goal is to restore safety to border communities.

“All across Arizona, people shouldn’t feel threatened by cartels, and drug smugglers, and human traffickers,” he said.

Of course, any request for other states to sent additional help to Texas and Arizona is likely to meet pushback from the open borders crowd in the fringe extreme of the Democratic Party, as well as far-left activist groups.

AZ Central said they reached out to both the White House, as well as the Department of Homeland Security for comment, however no response was received.

Meanwhile, U.S. Rep Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ) slammed the letter and the governor’s request for additional assets.

She claimed it was:

“a continuation of the same inhumane border policies we saw over the last 4 years, which not only proved ineffective, but were antithetical to our values as Americans,” she said in a statement.

“We must call it what it is—a political stunt that has no intention of solving the real issues that we’re seeing at our southern border,” she continued.

The governor’s request was also panned by Vicki Gaubeca, the executive director for the Southern Border Communities Coalition, which represents over 60 community and advocacy organizations along the border.

She claims that Ducey and Abbott were creating hysteria and feeding into harmful narratives about migrants and border communities.

“When I see them describe, kind of paint a broad stroke on all of these individuals as being criminals, which is a typical fear tactic, it rustles people up and scares them,” she said.

“When the reality is the vast majority of people coming to the border are only trying to seek safety from criminal elements.”

The fact is however that people crossing the border illegally are, in fact criminals.

Yet another leftist group, Puente Arizona released a statement in which they denounced Ducey for the proposal.

“Ducey’s statement is unequivocally racist [of course], fear-mongering, and dangerous. Puente denounces any further militarization of the border, which we know only results in the increased criminalization of migrants including children. We demand no more kids in cages, no more criminalization of migration!”

With that said, Ducey and Abbott’s plan did draw some support from elected leaders in southern Arizona.

Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels noted that current statistics, including in his border county, showed that “we’re in an epidemic,” he said.

He does have some questions about specifics of the plan, however said he was glad to hear that Ducey and Abbott spoke to the need for a “manageable, secure border” and was awaiting forthcoming details about the plan.

Not all Democrats are critical of trying to secure the border, however. Last month, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), who has emerged as a staunch critic of Biden’s border policies called for relief for border towns who are suffering amidst the record spike in illegal entry to the United States.

Cuellar also spoke about the darker side of the crisis, a side that is often ignored by the pro-open border leftists.

“In Laredo, you have people that are trying to evade, single male adults, you got stash houses, you got people that are being crammed in the 18-wheelers,” he told USA TODAY.

“So a lot of times, people only see the one that pulls at our heart, and that is the unaccompanied kids and the family. But what about the darker side? There is a darker side.”

That is the side Ducey, and Abbott are trying to get under control.

In March, we reported on the fact that Mexico…not the United States…was sending troops to help secure the border. For more on that, we invite you to:

MEXICO – According to a recent report from Breitbart News, Mexican officials were said to have deployed 8,715 soldiers to help stifle the flow of migrants crossing into the United States.

Secretary of Defense Luis Cresencio Sandoval recently announced during a press conference, that the Mexican military had established 347 immigration checkpoints in the country along three main routes – specifically the Gulf, Center, and Pacific.

According to Sandoval, the Mexican military forces have already “rescued” nearly 13,000 migrants in March, so far. However, it’s unclear whether these migrants were willing travelers that were simply apprehended, or if they were being held captive by human smugglers.

This deployment of troops comes around the same time that President Joe Biden put into motion a U.S. diplomatic delegation to visit Mexico City and discuss the issues impacting the U.S.-Mexico border with officials.

Mexico has been rather diligent with addressing the surge in migrants towards their own country, too.

Back in January, Mexican officials deployed roughly 800 Mexican National Guard members to the country’s border with Guatemala, in an effort to combat the likes of migrant caravans.

The efforts that were made in January obviously serve as a de facto benefit to the United States in curbing illegal immigration.

To the credit of Mexican officials, their continued efforts are helping to not make the issues impacting the U.S.-Mexico border worse than what they already are.

For instance, in February, Mexican authorities initiated a raid of the Palacio Hotel in downtown Monterrey where they found a group of 135 Central Americans that were trying to make their way to Texas

Just one week prior to that effort, Mexican authorities in the state of Veracruz managed to thwart human smugglers that were trying to traffic over 200 Central Americans across the border to Texas.
