ST. LOUIS – The masquerade of a young man impersonating a police officer unraveled when he stopped a real cop.

The Riverfront Times reported that Nicholas Keeton, 20, hit the lights and siren on his Impala last Thursday in order to detain another motorist. Fortunately for the public, and unfortunately for Keeton, he stopped an off-duty St. Louis police officer, Andrei Nikolov.

Keeton was described as an imposing figure at 6’5” and 260 pounds. He claimed to be an officer in the First District of St. Louis. But Nikolov, who was the 2014 Officer of the Year in the Second District, wasn’t buying it.

Real police officers arrived and Keeton’s charade was over. He was arrested for impersonating a police officer.
