President Trump says Black Lives Matter’s threat to ‘burn down this system’ is ‘treason, sedition, insurrection’

NEW YORK, N.Y.- While Black Lives Matter rakes in copious amounts of cash from businesses who are virtue signaling and people who have been shamed into believing they enjoy some type of privilege for how they were born, the truth of exactly who they are and what they want is there for anyone who cares to pay attention.

And it is not pretty.

According to the New York Post, Hawk Newsome, the president of the Greater New York Black Lives matter said the group will “burn down this system” if “meaningful change” is not achieved as a result of nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd. Newsome was being interviewed by Martha MacCallum on Fox News’ “The Story” on Wednesday evening.

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation,” he said.

Newsome continued, “Let’s be very real. Let’s observe the history of the 1960’s, when black people were rioting. We had the highest growth in wealth, in property ownership. Think about the last few weeks since we started protesting. There have been eight cops fired across the country.”

True.

Four of the cops were the Minneapolis officers who were involved in the Floyd incident, two were in Atlanta in a hit job by the district attorney, one was in Louisville bowing to political pressure, and honestly not sure about the eighth.

So those firings may have been partially because of the riots (actually nice to see Newsome admit what these “protests” actually are), however it is a false equivalency to give any credit to these riots.

Unless of course, you are talking about Democrats who are more than happy to see the country fall into chaos under President Trump’s watch because—well—November 3.

Newsome noted that in past incidents involving police use of force, officers were allowed due process (gee, thought that’s what was in the Constitution), however when people started to destroy property things change.

“What is this country rewarding? What behavior is it listening to? Obviously not marching. But when people get aggressive and they escalate their protests, cops get fired, Republican politicians talking about police reform,” he said.

Newsome tried to pull back from his comments, saying, “I don’t condone, nor do I condemn rioting. But I’m just telling you what I observed.”

MacCallum then asked Newsome what the group was hoping to achieve through violence.

“You…have said that violence is sometimes necessary in these situations,” MacCallum said. “What exactly is it that you hope to achieve through violence?”

“Wow, it’s interesting that you would pose that question like that,” Newsome said, “because this country is built upon violence. What was the American Revolution? What’s our diplomacy across the globe?”

Obviously this individual never learned U.S. History.

“We go in and we blow up countries and we replace their leaders with leaders who we like. So, for any American to accuse us of being violent is extremely hypocritical.”

Newsome claims the movement is about “saving lives” and should be credited for supporting the Second Amendment.

“Nobody’s talking about ambushing police officers. We’re talking about protecting lives,” he said. “There’s nothing more American than that. We talk about uplifting and upholding the Second Amendment. I think you should be applauding me, seeing how you guys are huge supporters of the Second Amendment.”

“But it seems to be the hypocrisy of America that when black people start talking about arming themselves, [that] talk is ‘violent,’ But when white people grab assault rifles and go to our nation’s their state capitals, it’s all good,” he said.

Big difference there Mr. Newsome. First of all, nobody went to the nation’s capital with assault rifles because legal gun owners are overwhelmingly law-abiding citizens. As far as going to state capitals, probably referring to Michigan, those weapons that were being carried were not used to threaten anyone or commit violence and were being carried in accordance with Michigan state law.

If Black Lives Matter members wish to arm themselves, do it within the confines of the law. However, just as an aside, nobody has been shot at one of the rallies conducted at state capitals protesting draconian lockdown orders. It doesn’t appear that Newsome can say the same thing about the riots that have been taking over our city streets.

Newsome concluded the interview by saying, “I just want black liberation, and black sovereignty. By any means necessary.”

Meanwhile, Breitbart News said that President Trump responded to Newsome’s remarks on Thursday, accusing him of “treason, sedition, and insurrection.”

On Twitter, the president said, “Black Lives Matter leader states, “If U.S. doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.” This is Treason, Sedition and Insurrection!”

The protests which started with the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis have in many cases turned violent, with the targeting of police officers, arson, rioting, looting and more recently, Black Lives Matter protesters or those sympathetic to or trying to take advantage of the situation have taken to destroying monuments and memorials nationwide, as well as targeting statues of historical figures from Christopher Columbus to George Washington and even the man who emancipated slaves, Abraham Lincoln.

This past Monday, Metropoltan D.C. and U.S. Park Police prevented an insurrectionist mob from taking down a monument of President Andrew Jackson in Lafayette Park, across from the White House.

President Trump has said that he will sign an executive order protecting national monuments across the country. The president also tweeted, “Ten years in prison under the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act. Beware!”

Trump’s comments were echoed by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who shared a similar post on Twitter.

“By the way, criminal masterminds, you’re destroying a statue on federal property that commemorates the military service of Andrew Jackson, a crime that carries a 10-year sentence under the Veterans Memorial Preservation and Recognition Act. And you’re on tape. Lock ‘em up!”

Sen. Cotton has also written a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr asking him to charge the mobs toppling statues around the country. The gang of incoherent troublemakers also tried to establish a so-called “autonomous zone” at the park, spray painting the letters BHAZ (Black House Autonomous Zone) on St. John’s Church. Apparently they are unaware of the “success” of the other autonomous zone, CHAZ or CHOP or whatever you call it.

Somehow all of this destruction of historical monuments and statues seems a lot less like protesting for alleged equality of African Americans and more like trying to erase our American heritage. That should not be allowed to stand.

UPDATED INFORMATION

After President Trump’s tweet calling his comments treason, Newsome answered back to the president, saying:

“You call me treasonous? You are about to lose the election bc you are a terrible and racist leader. Don’t try to rally your White Supremacist baseball [sic] vilifying me.”

Let us translate. We think he was talking about a “White Supremacist base.”We know, English is hard.

He then told the president to “Vilify the police who commit murder with impunity. Vilify America’s failing schools.” (Especially those in Democrat-run cities in the pockets of teachers unions who refuse to authorize charter schools).

“Black people we are terrorist. White people do it and they are ‘sports fans’ celebrating a championship. Don’t be mad bc I point out your hypocrisy,” he said in yet another post.

After riling up Newsome, the president then changed his focus to another favorite target, commie sympathizing New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. The president criticized de Blasio who plans on having “Black Lives Matter” painted on a city street adjacent to Trump Tower. You have to credit people like de Blasio and the mayor of Washington, D.C., Muriel Bowser, for showing tremendous “maturity.” And we wonder why people have no respect for law and order in our big cities.

In a tweet, the president blasted de Blasio and said that the group Black Lives Matter has chants such as: “Pigs in a Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Baccon,” which refers to killing police officers.

The president has been a vocal critic of the violent protests across the country and especially for the latest left-wing moonbat temper tantrum, vandalizing and/or knocking down historical statues and monuments.

What started out as so-called Confederate monuments being targeted, the Antifa anarchists and Black Lives Matter Marxists have taken to destroying pretty much any statue of monument that represents American history.

A group of anarchists attempted to set up an “autonomous zone” such as the Seattle cluster, er disaster called CHAZ or CHOP, however, the area was dismantled by U.S. Park Police. The president has said that as long as he was president, no such zone would be set up in Washington, D.C.
