VALHALLA, S.C. – It’s never a dull moment for the men and women who wear the badge and patrol our communities on a day-to-day basis.
Police in South Carolina experienced that sentiment exactly when they pulled over a woman who was joyriding down the street in a motorized children’s vehicle.
Officers first found 25-year-old Megan Holman cruising down the street in a Power Wheels car. For those of you who aren’t familiar with that kind of car, picture a giant climbing into a convertible.
These little motorized trucks and jeeps have been around forever. And because they’re designed for kids… not adults… they don’t belong on the actual roadway.
Officer say that they weren’t sure where Holman was heading when they pulled her over, but after getting a call about a suspicious person, she wasn’t easy to miss.
After questioning the woman about what she was doing, they determined that she was under the influence of some type of narcotic. They proceeded to arrest her for public intoxication. Police say that the only reason Holman didn’t get slapped with a DUI charge was that the vehicle was a kid’s toy and not a real truck.
A woman on Facebook shared a photo of the bizarre traffic stop.
The incident reports says Holman told officers she was riding the toy truck as part of a scavenger hunt and that ”she wanted to be a professional wrestler like her father and this was how to do it,” The State reported.
Holman was reportedly released from jail the same day on a personal recognizance bond. No information was provided about her wrestling father.
