Police: Michigan man faces 88 charges after ‘doing unspeakable things’ with infants

Flint Saginaw Bay City, Michigan – A 43-year-old man based out of Oakland County is facing dozens of charges linked to the discovery of an abundance of child pornography inside of the man’s home.

Prosecutors recently broke down the charges levied against the man, which were stemming from him allegedly “doing unspeakable things” to infants.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton exposed the current number of charges against Jeremy McCallum, who was arrested last month:

“He’s facing 88 counts, ranging from criminal sexual conduct to extortion.”

Leyton was referencing the 18-page complaint filed against the man, after authorities searched his home and discovered large amounts of evidence of child pornography.

Police were able to catch on to the disturbing allegations against McCallum, after the suspect’s son had called police after making an alarming discovery.

McCallum’s son was perusing through his father’s tablet, when he discovered what appeared to be child pornography.

Even though McCallum is from Oakland County, Leyton explained that the suspect’s alleged sexual crimes had taken place within Genesee County.

Leyton further explained the evidence seized and being used against McCallum:

“We were able to find DVDs, CDs, and photographs. And from those DVDs, we were able to actually witness the sexual assaults and identify who the individuals were who were the victims of the crimes.”

On top of the charges filed against the suspect from the state, McCallum is also going to be facing federal charges for possession and distribution of child pornography.

When McCallum was originally arrested and charged, he was only facing 15 allegations.

Yet, within the last week, his charges escalated to 88 in total.

McCallum is currently charged with 65 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, 18 counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of extortion, two counts of child sexual abuse activity, and one count of child abuse.

Leyton explained the rationale for sharing some of the charges with the federal courts, as opposed to just handling them all at the state level:

“The reason we want to go that route is because the sanctions in the federal system are harsher than they are in the state system for similar crimes. So, they’re taking the child pornography counts and we’re keeping the sexual assault counts.”

At the time, McCallum is currently being held in the Genesee County Jail without bond.

And let’s not forget about this guy who we reported on last month.

A New York City man who once made international headlines for trying to prevent sexual violence against children has admitted to having sex with a minor and possession of child pornography. We guess if you’re going to be a pervert, the best way to find victims is to pretend to advocate for them.

Joel Davis, 24,
Joel Davis, 24,

Joel Davis, 24, a former Columbia University student admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old boy and possessing child pornography. He is facing a sentence that could include life in prison, according to Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman.

Berman said that Davis had started a group called Youth to End Sexual Violence. In fact, according to the Daily News, he was at one time a Nobel Peace Prize nominee for his efforts on behalf of child sex crime victims.

In a statement, Berman said:

“As he admitted today, Joel Davis arranged to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex in June 2018 and engaged in illegal sexual activity with the 15-year-old. He also possessed child pornography that included children under the age of 12.”

Berman said that Davis’ conduct “is as unfathomable as it is sickening. Joel Davis started an organization devoted to stopping sexual violence, while allegedly engaging in the duplicitous behavior of sharing explicit images of infants engaged in sexual activity,” he continued.

Davis pleaded guilty to one count of enticement of a minor to engage in sex acts, which holds a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, and a maximum of life in prison.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography, which could carry a sentence of up to 20 years. Fortunately, even though this is in New York City, it is a federal crime.

Had it been a state crime, Davis would probably be out on the street, free to molest more teenagers in a week or two. Such is the world of Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio.

Davis is slated to be sentenced on May 7.

In 2014, Davis wrote in a column for the Huffington Post, “In so many conflicts across the globe, children’s bodies are quickly becoming sites of violence, where rape is used to terrorize and degrade entire communities.”

Davis was speaking at the time about war rape victims, and spoke about “using media and technology to share the global call to prevent, protect, and prosecute, and working with governments and civil society organizations to report on how young people are affected by warzone rape.

Seems like a noble cause.

Little did anyone know that Davis himself had skeletons in his own closet.

“Youth to End Sexual Violence is one example of how youth-led organizations around the world are standing together in solidarity—demanding a seat at the discussion table for youth survivors, activists and leaders,” he said.

“We are overcoming the stigma of sexual violence by designing and directing our own programming to address community needs.” Seems like maybe his work with youths provided a ready supply of innocent kids for him to molest.

Davis had served as a youth ambassador for the United Nations (great judges of character that they are).  He served as a special representative on sexual violence in conflict.

He was also on the steering committee of the International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in conflict, which is a worldwide group of in excess of 5,000 human rights organizations and experts.

He worked alongside high-profile activists like actress Angelina Jolie and appeared on various media panels.

In a paper for the Columbia Spectator, Davis spoke about working in the presidential administration of another Columbia graduate, Barack Obama. Just like Obama, Davis was nominated for a Nobel Prize, which caused him to have a psychological breakdown that, according to him, triggered memories of childhood sex abuse.

Davis’ penchant for young boys became known after he responded to a message from an undercover FBI agent on a website known to be “frequented by individuals with sexual interest in children, among other fetishes,” according to a criminal complaint viewed by Fox News.

“Looking for other no limits TABOO pervs in DC area,” the message said. “Bi dad here.”

Davis operated under the username “yngperv22” responded and said:

“Need me to come down and watch ur kids for a night:),” the complaint continued.

Law enforcement sources said that Davis exchanged phone numbers and text messages with the agent.

Davis told the officer that he was into children of any age, and said he’d had sexual encounters with children as young as 9 months and had images of adults sexually abusing infants.

Davis then asked the agent to send him nude photographs of his 2-year-old daughter.

“When do u have that baby alone next,” Davis texted the agent. “I mean even for a few mins enough to FaceTime.”

What a pure, unadulterated creep this guy is.

Davis also sent undercover agents sexually explicit photos and videos of children as young as infants and was clear in stating that he wanted to have sex with children of any age, according to the federal criminal complaint.

Davis further admitted meeting a 13-year-old boy on Grindr, engaging him on Snapchat and engaging in sexual activity with the boy at his Manhattan apartment in June.

“Having started an organization that pushed for the end of sexual violence, Davis displayed the highest degree of hypocrisy by his alleged attempts to sexually exploit multiple minors,” said William F. Sweeney Jr., FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge.

“As if this wasn’t repulsive enough, Davis allegedly possessed and distributed utterly explicit images of innocent infants and toddlers being sexually abused by adults.”
