Police: Man accused of molesting kids brutally beaten by their father

SPOTSYLVANIA, VIRGINIA- A startling mugshot of a man stemming from Virginia, shows the aftermath of a pounding so bad, you’d swear he had a Mr. Potato Head toy surgically implanted on the side of his face by how he looks.

Of course, someone’s hands did that to a 61-year-old from Burlington, North Carolina.

But when you hear of what he allegedly did to earn said beating, you might not feel that bad for him. In fact, if it weren’t for police responding when they did, this man might not have made it for his mugshot.

According to authorities in Virginia, 61-year-old Mark Stanley has been accused of molesting two small children back on December 29th.

When police had taken the alleged child molester into custody, they had seen the aftermath of the beating that ensued when the victims’ father had witnessed Stanley in the act.

Considering that the authorities over in Spotsylvania seemed to be understanding of the course of events that led up to Stanley being attacked by the father, police wound up not charging the father who assaulted him. Of course, if it were up to me, I would’ve handed the man a father of the year award as well.

The ordeal started in the early hours of the morning on December 29th at the Spotsylvania residence.

From what was revealed by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, apparently Stanley was in the area while visiting the family for the holiday season. Something tells me that after what allegedly played out that Stanley isn’t going to be invited over for Thanksgiving next year, assuming he isn’t sitting in prison by that time.

On that morning, one of the family members had awoken early and went to go check on his two kids, one a 2-year-old and the other being 3. What he witnessed next is something that would have set off even the most mild-tempered person you could find.

The sheriff’s office reported that when the father opened the bedroom door to see how his kids were, he instead found Stanley in the bedroom with his children, naked from the waist down. When the father asked just what Stanley was up to being naked in his children’s room, Stanley allegedly shoved the father out of the room and locked the door behind him.

From that point on, the father was done asking questions and decided to handle this himself.

Authorities stated that’s when the father busted his way into the children’s room and began unleashing a thrashing on Stanley. Spotsylvania County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home after the beating began and described that they stepped into “a chaotic scene and an older male with severe injuries to his face.”

Deputies onsite then witnessed the father of the two young children making his way to Stanley while holding a gun in his hand.

The deputies had then ordered the father to drop the weapon, and amazingly the father complied without any incident going on further. After the authorities had ascertained what played out in the house, they initially had Stanley taken to a local hospital for his injuries and was later sent to Rappahannock Regional Jail with no bond.

There’s been no reports yet of any harm that was inflicted upon the children, but they were taken to the hospital to be evaluated for possible injuries.

As of now, Stanley is facing two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of domestic assault; but additional charges could come into play against the man as the investigation progresses, according to the sheriff’s office.

Well, taking into account the charges that Stanley is sitting in jail on, he’s likely not going to be having a stellar 2020 within the inmate population.

In the meantime, an inmate from the Mesa County Jail in Colorado who was charged with a variety of unsavory acts such as first-degree murder of a child, child abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor and many other things was found unresponsive in his cell this past Monday and later died.

It is with great sarcasm that most would say that they “didn’t see that one coming”.

Earlier this week, officials found Jeffrey Beagley, 34, of Grand Junction, unresponsive in his jail cell, and he was officially declared dead when received at the hospital.

Prisons and jails have all sorts of stereotypes, stigmas, and lore that floats about the non-incarcerated community.

While some of the assumptions of what jail or prison life is like or the demeanor in which convicts employ is either laughably false or very outdated; there’s one known rule within jail houses and prison yards that the outside population knows quite well: accused and convicted sex offenders tend not to last long.

While there’s been no official word on how exactly Beagley died while in the jail’s custody, you might not have to extol too many brain cells to piece this puzzle together.

What led to the arrest of Beagley likely didn’t earn him too many friends while he embarked upon his stay at the Mesa County Jail.

Authorities began looking into Beagley after he reported the death of a nine-year-old girl, who’s relationship with Beagley has not yet been disclosed.

The little girl had died of chloroform poisoning, according to the autopsy, and Beagley just so happened to have had some delivered to his home the day before the young girl’s death.

When authorities searched Beagley’s property, they found themselves in the shed where the young girl had died; however, they didn’t just find the young girl there.

Investigators also happened upon what seemed to be a crudely built tent constructed of privacy tarps. Behind the privacy that the curtains provided, police found a bottle of chloroform, pillows, blankets, a computer, and sex toys.

Clearly, after finding all that they did, Beagley was arrested on December 14th.

After having seized the computer that was found amid his belongings in the privacy tent in his shed, authorities allegedly discovered pornographic images that led to charges of child pornography being added to the already existing murder and child abuse charges.

He was jailed without bond, but he was unable to enter any plea of innocence or guilt since having died nine days after being arrested.

Authorities are not saying the specific cause of death at this time, stating that the investigation is still ongoing and they’re awaiting results from a toxicology report to come back regarding Beagley.

Honestly, this is one of those cases that likely doesn’t need that many tax dollars utilized to figure out what happened. Sure, there’s all the formalities of the “how” it happened, “who” was responsible, “what exactly took place” and so on; but we all know the “why” behind Beagley not lasting that long in jail.

Prison and jail inmates may have a more than questionable moral compass in many of circumstances, but even they can’t stomach the idea of those who harm children having an opportunity to do it again.

So, when you take an allegedly despicable person accused of harming kids and place them into a population of other despicable folks that are fluid in the language of violence that happen to hate people who harm kids, basic math would dictate that accused child predators in gen-pop won’t have a “release date”; despite what their time-comp form tells them.

I may not be a detective, but if Colorado officials have a tough time with this investigation, then I’ll gladly lend my expertise.

In October, we reported about a similar situation.

Richard Huckle knew he would be behind bars for the rest of his life. He just didn’t expect that the end would come as soon as it did.

The 33-year-old U.K. man admitted to and was convicted of committing 71 offenses of sexual abuse against children between 2006 and 2014, some as young as six-months-old, according to Breitbart.

He was stabbed to death by another inmate at Full Sutton Prison.

A pedophile serving 22 consecutive life sentences behind bars was stabbed to death in his cell on Sunday.

While he was convicted of assaulting just 22 kids, investigators suspected that Huckle had actually been responsible for more like 200 victims. After an emotional trial, where prosecutors unveiled sickening facts about Huckle, the defendant was handed down a damning sentence of 22 consecutive life sentences.

He only served about three years of his sentence before his fellow inmates handed out some justice of their own. Prison officials say that Huckle had been killed with a makeshift knife while inside of his cell.

During testimony, prosecutors revealed that Huckle had not only taken part in physical abuse, but also shared an extensive photo library of approximately 20,000 inappropriate images with an area of the dark web called ‘The Love Zone’. Investigators say he attempted to use the encounters that he filmed with children to make a profit online.

He reportedly posed as an english teacher and a volunteer for mission trips in order to visit Malaysia, where prosecutors say he sexually abused children. In an online post discovered on ‘The Love Zone’, Huckle said, “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”

Fox reported that he was cocky about getting away with his secrets.

“Huckle also created a 60-page ‘how-to’ guide for other pedophiles seeking to evade being caught, and kept a scorecard and points system regarding the children who were abused — leading investigators to speculate he may have as many as 200 victims,” Fox reported.

After the verdict in Huckle’s trial was reached in 2016, the judge had some choice words for him.

“Your offending behavior became entrenched in your everyday life. Your life revolved around your sexual activities with young children. Your distorted beliefs in respect of children are deep-seated. Your self-delusion knows no bounds. It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities.”

Pedophiles and sex offenders tend not to fare well in prison. Even the most hardened criminals can’t tolerate the heinous and unforgivable nature of crimes against children.

A Michigan man met the same fate earlier this year when Christian Maire, a convicted felon serving a 40-year sentence for his role in an international child pornography ring, was killed in a fight at a federal detention center.

Maire was pronounced dead following a violent encounter involving seven inmates. He was described as the mastermind of the child pornography operation.

The prison attack happened about one month after Maire, Figura and other members of a sex ring that hunted and manipulated children into performing sex acts online, were sentenced to decades in federal prison.

But hey, why not normalize the behavior these sick individuals? You know, like the law professor at Rutgers who says pedophilia isn’t a crime.

Law and order apparently just doesn’t matter anymore…
