Let’s agree on something. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has got it out for Trump. She is literally the poster child for Trump Delusion Syndrome, or TDS.

We were told by Nancy Pelosi that the impeachment of President Trump was a “solemn, somber occasion.” Yet, when the articles of impeachment were signed, there was Pelosi, using ceremonial pens engraved with her name, turning the signing of the articles into some kind of celebratory party, with “party favors” for all who attended. What an abomination.

And there was Maxine Waters, face beaming, holding her ceremonial pen high up in the air like she was showing off the Super Bowl trophy. Democrats lined up for their pens like children lining up at an ice cream truck, anxiously waiting for their delicious treats. The whole thing was a joke.

Maxine Waters is a parody of herself. She has been in Congress since 1991 and is the poster child for term limits. She has accomplished nothing of note in nearly 20 years in Congress. Interestingly in 2011, as a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, she criticized then President Barack Obama for the high unemployment rate among African Americans. One would think she would be thrilled with the current unemployment rate of blacks under President Trump, currently estimated at around 3.6%. Of course, she isn’t.

In an interview on MSNBC on Sunday, Waters said that even if Trump was acquitted by the Senate, House Democrats had no intention to stop investigating him.

On the program “Weekends”, Waters was asked by the host what would happen if Trump was acquitted.

“What about if the president is ultimately acquitted by the Senate? Do you see the house potentially taking up other articles of impeachment against him? You are the chair of the Financial Services Committee. There has been plenty of talk of emoluments clause violations. Might those potentially be stronger that what we’ve seen here, could that be taken up?”

Waters replied, “Let me just say this. All of us have the responsibility for oversight. Yes, I have subpoenaed documents from Deutsche Bank. Yes, I am concerned about the financial affairs of the president of the United States, including money laundering. And I’m continuing with that.”

She continued, “As a matter of fact, the subpoenas that I’ve issued that’s gone through the lower courts are now going to be heard at the Supreme Court in March. We will not stop. Whether or not that leads to another impeachment activity, I don’t know. But I know we must continue with the work that our constituents have elected us to come to Congress to do.”

Waters said that last sentence with a straight face. This current Congress has done nothing since they were elected in 2018 save a couple of minor pieces of legislation. They have been obsessed with impeaching President Trump honestly before the 2018 election was held, going all the way back to the run up to the 2016 presidential election.

To say that Waters is obsessed with investigating and/or impeaching Trump is a vast understatement. Just after Democrats won the majority in the House in 2018, Waters vowed to investigate Trump’s finances, as well as that of the Trump Foundation.

She has expressed no such interest in looking into the Clinton Foundation, however. At the time however, more moderate members of the Democratic caucus bristled at Waters’ vow to go after Trump.

Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) at the time said, “The American people will understand thoughtful, well-grounded investigations. But they will bridle at investigations that seem overly political.”

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) said, “There’s a good opportunity for more access to credit and housing reforms. Oversight’s important, but I just think we’ve got a broader responsibility.” Not if you’re Maxine Waters.

Not happy with just going after the president, Waters last September also said that Vice President Mike Pence and Attorney General William Barr should also be investigated regarding Ukraine.

“They’re all involved…First of all, we have seen that no matter what the president does, they come up with a kind of messaging to defend him,” she said. “No matter what it is, none of them have had the courage, the patriotism, or the guts to stand up for what is right for our country.”

“So, I expect that Pence is part of this conspiracy to try to get Ukraine to do something in a fake investigation and come out with some dirt on Biden.” TDS.

In October, Waters said in a tweet that the president should be imprisoned and “placed in solitary confinement.”

“I’m calling on the GOP to stop Trump’s filthy talk of whistleblowers being spies & using mob language implying they should be killed. Impeachment is not good enough for Trump. He needs to be imprisoned & placed in solitary confinement. But for now, impeachment is the imperative.”

In 2018, Waters advocated for people to publicly harass Trump administration officials in public.[5]

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents,” she said at the Wilshire Federal Building.

The last comment was directed toward the so-called “separation” of illegal aliens and their children at the border.

Apparently, Waters has memory loss over what can happen when inflammatory rhetoric leads to action.

On June 14, 2017, four people, including Congressman Steve Scalise, were shot in Alexandria, VA by a Bernie Sanders supporter during a practice session for the annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity.

The suspect was killed in a shootout with police. A total of four people were injured in the incident, along with the suspect. The killer, aside from being a Sanders supporter hated conservatives and especially President Trump. Some of his “greatest hits” from Facebook posts as posted on CNN:

“Trump is a Traitor. Trump has destroyed our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

“Republicans are the Taliban of the USA.”

Hopefully Republicans can regain control of the House in November. Otherwise we will have at least two more years of this endless circus of mindless investigations and having to listen to nuts like Maxine Waters and the other members of the TDS club like the “squad.” Hopefully they can fade into the shadows of history, never to be heard from again.
