LAPD announced today that highly personal information regarding two dozen high-ranking officials has been published to an Internet site. Police are investigating the person or people involved in the site. Personal information about captains and other officers was posted including biographical data, campaign contributions, property records, names of children, and other family members. LAPD reports that there has been no hacking of departmental information and states that the data was gleaned from other public records.
