PHILADELPHIA, PA – Liberal Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has been under fire due to what one legislature has referred to as “unchecked violent crime” that has plagued the city.
The crime wave has been so rampant that a Pennsylvania House Committee subpoenaed the former defense attorney who refused to attend when ordered, prompting the Committee to hold Krasner in contempt.

Larry Krasner was first voted into office in 2017, running on the rights of victims and ensuring that people who were wrongfully accused were exonerated.
When Krasner was elected, he immediately went to work on reforming the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office by keeping alleged non-violent offenders out of jail while eliminating cash bail in a vast amount of cases.
Fast forward to 2022, violent crimes in the city of Philadelphia have risen by 6.3 percent, year to date, property crimes have up by 27.1 percent, year to date, and property crimes have risen by a whopping increase of 27.1 percent, year to date.
Under Krasner’s watch, overall crime in the city of brotherly love has risen 22.2 percent, year to date.
Crime has risen significantly enough, that in June of 2022 a bi-partisan group of state lawmakers created the Select Committee on Restoring Law and Order. Their purpose was:
“To investigate, review and make legislative findings and recommendations to the House of Representatives regarding the rising rates of crime in the City of Philadelphia, the city’s use of public funds intended for law enforcement and prosecuting crime, the enforcement of crime victim rights in Philadelphia; and the use of public funds for the purpose of benefitting the city’s crime victims.
The resolution authorizes the chairman to subpoena information relevant to the committee’s work.”
New: The Pennsylvania House has voted 162-38 to find Philly DA Larry Krasner in contempt of the institution for not accepting subpoenas from a House committee investigating him and his office. Krasner has challenged the subpoenas in court.

In pursuit of their mention, the Select Committee on Restoring Law and Order subpoenaed Krasner and his office, requesting documents that were believed to be related to their investigation.
Despite the two attempts at delivering the subpoena, Krasner had his attorneys reach out and let the Committee know that they would not be cooperating.
Seemingly, Krasner believes that he is above the law and does not have to comply with an order from the committee, which was given full faith and authority to issue subpoenas, to answer questions in an ongoing investigation.
The move left the committee voting to hold Krasner in contempt for not answering the demands of the subpoena. A member of the committee, Representative Torren Ecker, told Fox29:
“This is not a decision we, as a committee, came to lightly. This committee is steadfast in its intention to get to the bottom of the current unrest in Philadelphia, and being denied access to important documents hinders progress in achieving that goal.”
People aren't taking seriously enough the fact that Larry Krasner could potentially lose his impeachment battle, the House vote to hold him in contempt was not particularly close, 162 to 38. Are there 17 PA Senators committed to keeping Larry in office? It only takes 5 Democrats.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the move to hold Krasner in contempt was bi-partisan. According to them, 162 members voted in favor of holding him in contempt, 49 of those were Democrats, and ten of them were from Philadelphia.
Regardless of the bipartisan vote, Krasner and other Democrats claim that the move to hold him in contempt is nothing more than political theatre and an overreach.
In a statement, published by Fox29, Krasner’s campaign reported the following:
“The House Committee continues to operate outside the bounds of the law. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has said that when a party receives a subpoena that it believes is improper – as we do – you should seek review in court. That is exactly what we have done.
It is telling that the ‘Select Committee on Restoring Law and Order refuses to follow it. This is, of course, the same committee that asked us to break the law by turning over grand jury material.”
Democrat-run Philly: Group of teenagers beat elderly man to death with traffic cone while laughing and filming it
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police have released disturbing video footage showing a group of teenagers laughing and taking videos as they beat an elderly man to death with a traffic cone back in June. Watch below:
Philadelphia police hope that the released video of the attack and a $20,000 reward lead them to those who are responsible for the tragic death of 73-year-old James Lambert.
Authorities stated that Lambert was walking across Cecil B. Moore Avenue near North 21st Street around 2:38 a.m. on Friday, June 24th, when he was ambushed by a group of teenagers. According to the footage, the individuals responsible appear to be three girls and four boys in their mid to early teens.
The footage shows Lambert trying to walk away from the group as they followed him across the street just moments before one of the male assailants strikes him from behind with a cone.
The impact knocked Lambert to the ground. While he was down, one of the girls picks up the same cone and chucks it at him as another one in the group records what they are doing on his phone.
The elderly man appeared to get up and flee down the sidewalk in an attempt to get away from his attackers, but the same girl picks up the cone again, chases down Lambert and throws it at him once more while the other teens smile and laugh.
In a blotter news release, police stated:
“The teen struck the victim several times with objects, knocking the victim to the ground causing injuries to his head. The victim was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries the following day.”
According to a report from the Daily Wire, Lambert’s family are heartbroken over his untimely death and in “disbelief” that a group of teenagers would attack him.
Footage shows the group leaving the scene, including a boy smiling as he pedaled away on a scooter with another boy. As of this writing, none of the teens in the group have been arrested. Police are encouraging anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Homicide Unit.
Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads them to those responsible. People can submit a tip via telephone at 215-686-8477; all tips will be confidential.
The attack on Lambert is yet another example of violence in the Democrat-run “City of Brotherly Love.” On July 4th, the city’s fireworks display was disrupted when a shooter fired into a crowd, injuring two police officers.
In early June, a mass shooter killed three people and wounded 11 in the city’s restaurant and bar district. Current Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney (D) even admitted that he will be happy when his term ends because he’s “waiting for something bad to happen all the time.” He said:
“There’s not an event or day where I don’t lay on my back and look at the ceiling and worry about stuff. So, everything we have in the city over the last seven years, I worry about. I don’t enjoy the Fourth of July, I don’t enjoy the Democratic National Convention, I don’t enjoy the NFL draft – I’m waiting for something bad to happen all the time.”
