This One Is for Those Who Battle the Big “C” Word

This one is for those who have felt their gut sink as they heard the one “c” word that strikes fear into the hearts of everyone.

This one is for those who are beginning their journey against “c”.

This one is for those who have survived it.

This one is for those who lost the battle.

Today, we aren’t going to give it credence. We will not speak its name … because we won’t give it power. That’s because it’s not as big as you … not as strong as you … and not as loved as you.

We’ve watched it destroy lives. Bodies. Minds. Hearts.

But today … today we declare that it won’t destroy your soul.

The most beautiful part of a woman isn’t her breasts. It isn’t her skin. It isn’t her hair. It’s her soul.

It’s that soul that is tender and loving … passionate and protective. Fierce and focused.

It’s not the body that makes a warrior … it’s the soul that powers it. The drive to fight. To destroy evil. To win.

The “c” word can take physical parts of you, yes. But those are simply layers on top of the true YOU – and that’s your soul.

This one is for those who stand and fight.

This one is for those who don’t just do it for themselves … but do it for their kids, their spouses, their loved ones and their friends.

This one is for those who may lose parts of their body … and need to know they now don the battle scars of a warrior.

Today … we fight. Today … we conquer. Today … our souls will destroy the evil that can take the body … but can’t conquer that which makes the warrior.
