Marine combat vet, Omaha bar owner charged for killing rioter who attacked him takes his own life

OMAHA, NEBRASKA – Back on May 30, Jake Gardner, 38, stepped outside onto the sidewalk, in between the two bars he owned on Harney Street, in the Old Market area of Omaha

His goal was to assist his elderly father in warding off a large group of protestors from outside the two bars he owns. The end result was the loss of two lives from that evening.  The “protestor’s” and Jake’s.

This is not the first time that Gardner’s bars have been the target by the left.  According to the Gateway Pundit, Gardner’s bars have been targets for YEARS prior to this incident over his proud support of the Trump administration.

Jake had previously survived several combat tours Iraq and Haiti as a United States Marine.  He bravely volunteered to protect this country, he stoically fought to ensure that the cowards who are burning down the cities across America today, are free to continue do so.

“Gardner has multiple traumatic brain injuries” according to his attorney, Stu Dornan, the night of James Scurlock’s , 22, death, “he felt like he was in a war zone.”

In the end, it cost him his life, because one politician in his community is too afraid to stand up for an American hero and stand by his word.

Today, let’s show the world what a coward Don Kleine is and honor an American Hero.

On the night of the protest, back in May a large group of individuals targeted the Hive and the Gatsby, two bars that Gardner owned in the Old Market area in Omaha with the intent on causing destruction.  Other news outlets had previously reported, that Scurlock had been linked to damage to other businesses in the area, prior to arriving at Gardner’s bars.

At a press conference held back in June, Kleine, who is the Douglas County Attorney, stated he would not be filing charges against Gardner, citing this was a clear case of self-defense and, he said in regards in regard to the victim, James Scurlock,

“It is a senseless death, a loss of a young man’s life, it shouldn’t have happened.”

At this June press conference, Kleine showed the videos from the bar surveillance cameras from the night of the incident and explained his reasoning as to why he was not going to file criminal charges against Gardner. He states, in his own words, on how the video clearly supports the shooting to be Self-Defense.

In an article from, it is reported that Kleine also says there is another video where you can clearly hear Gardner say, “Get off me” several times before the shot was fired.

Several weeks later, Don Kleine caved into political pressure and requested a Grand Jury, all because Gardner was white and Scurlock was black.

Instead of standing by his judgement, instead of standing by his word, instead of doing what was right by Jake Gardner, he caved into political pressure and pawned it off to for “the system” to handle.

On September 16, 2020, a Douglas County Grand Jury indicted Gardner on charges of manslaughter, the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first degree assault and terroristic threats.

At what point in the last several months have the rioters became the victims? These individuals clearly set out on the night in question with the intent on creating mayhem and destruction. With the intent on causing violence and destruction.

Gardner was simply defending his livelihood and his life, which he is entitled to. Which Don Kleine originally said by law he was able to as well.

Because of Don Kleine’s lack of a spine, he unable to handle any more mental anguish.  Fatigued by many years fighting the demons of war, running from the pain of battle, Jake Gardner died by suicide on September 20.

While I have never met Jake, he had I share a life-long bond that will never be broken.  We both stepped on those yellow footprints at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and earned the title of United States Marine.

I am so sorry your community failed you, my brother. Semper Fidelis, and Until Valhalla.

Watch: Antifa burns homeless Marine’s mattress as he begs them to stop – “Please, I live here!”

May 31, 2020 – AUSTIN, TX – Alerts have been put out across the country about the threat Antifa is presenting.

Tonight, we’ve received disturbing footage out of Austin.

It shows a group of Antifa militants taunting the homeless under an overpass, then lighting a homeless man’s mattress on fire.

Law Enforcement Today spoke with an Austin police officer on the condition of anonymity.  He said the homeless man is known in the area and believed to be a combat veteran who has battled PTSD for years.

Apparently Austin police are reviewing the footage and trying to identify the suspects.

In the video, the homeless man rushes to recover his mattress from the fire while shouting, “I live here!”

“What are you doing?!” he cried. “I live here! What are you doing! What the fuck are you doing?!”

On Saturday, President Trump declared that he’ll be designating Antifa as a terror organization.  And things are heating up quickly.

The Minnesota National Guard has been armed and is on high alert.

This is after the FBI reportedly warned of a ‘credible, lethal threat’.

The National Guard’s top general requested military police units from out of state as a result of the threat.  He has not requested active-duty forces yet.

These threats reportedly came after officials worked to determine if extremist groups had infiltrated police brutality protests across the country.

Law enforcement is looking into if they deliberately tipped largely peaceful demonstrations toward violence.

To make matters worse, they’re investigating if foreign adversaries – such as Russia – were behind a growing disinformation campaign on social media.

On Saturday, an Antifa activist group put out a message that encouraged people to consider Minnesota National Guard troops “easy targets,” according to two Defense Department officials.

The activists were encouraged to steal “kit”, or the weapons and body armor used by the soldiers.

The officials were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity, reports one outlet.

Now, soldiers with the Minnesota National Guard have been armed during all missions at protests across the state.

The soldiers are sometimes – but not always – armed.  Yet for the past few days, they haven’t been armed as they’ve moved into parts of the state taken over by riots.

In the state, the troops do not currently have the authority to make arrests, and are there to act essentially as extra security for police.

There are currently more than 4,100 National Guard soldiers and airmen in Minneapolis.

Hours after President Trump declared that he’ll be designating Antifa as a terror organization, they reportedly made the ultimate threat – we’re bringing the war to the suburbs.

Now authorities are on high alert.
