OILDALE, CA –A Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy was attacked around 1:30am on the 15th.
Initial reports are that the deputy as dispatched to Moneta and North Chester Avenues when a man ran up behind him and attacked him.
The deputy was able to retrieve his firearm and shot the suspect three times, ending the attack.
Deputies responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle which he found with two people inside. The Public Information Officer for the Sheriff’s Office, Lieutenant Joel Swanson said:
“The deputy arrived and located the vehicle which was a reported stolen vehicle. As he was dealing with that vehicle, a subject ran up behind him in an apparent ambush attack. And a struggle ensued with the deputy and that subject.”
The suspect was provided medical aid and transported to a nearby hospital where he is reportedly going to recover. Police advise they did not locate any weapons at the scene and do not believe the suspect was involved with the stolen vehicle.
The suspect, who’s name was not released and described only as Hispanic, will be charged for felony assault against the deputy when released from the hospital.
“At this point it appears that this was an unprovoked attack and the deputy had no knowledge of the suspect being in the area until the suspect was nearly on top of the deputy.”
“At this point, it is very similar to a copycat style of what happened in LA the other day. The deputy involved was on a completely unrelated call when a subject rushed up to him from behind. The deputy didn’t know what he was doing or what he was armed with at the time, so this is a very similar type scenario.”
Detectives are working to determine what happened prior to the attack, now that they do not believe the vehicle had anything to do with it. Those people were released from the scene.
Swanson said that they do not yet know why the attack took place or where the original call of the suspicious vehicle came from as of yet. He said that the investigation is still in its early stages and unknown if this was some type of setup or just someone who saw an opportunity and took it. Swanson said:
“This initially started out as a very benign call and then it escalated very quickly from there so the deputies just never know what they are going to be getting into on each call for service they go to.”
Thankfully, in this case, the officer was not shot as the two were in Los Angeles recently. In that case, two deputies were sitting in their marked police vehicle outside of a metro terminal.
During a campaign rally that took place on September 13th, President Donald Trump acknowledged the shooting of the two sheriff’s deputies that took place in California on the evening of September 12th, while admonishing the actions and person behind said attack.
While President Trump was pointing out what reasonably inspired the attack against the deputies (namely, the anti-police sentiments being stoked by those left-of-center), all Joe Biden could muster up was saying that “violence of any kind is wrong”.

During the campaign event, President Trump started by saying the following:
“As we begin tonight, our thoughts are with the two sheriff’s deputies in Los Angeles who are fighting for their lives when a vicious criminal walked up to their vehicle and shot them at point-blank range.”
The president delivered his condolences to those close to the injured deputies:
“We send our love and our support to their families, and we pray to God for their recovery.”
But it wasn’t just warm words that the president delivered that made reference to the incident in California, President Trump commented on the impetus of this year’s anti-police displays that likely inspired this horrific act of violence:
“For the entire summer Joe Biden was silent as left-wing mobs assaulted police officers…When Biden’s far-left supporters set fire to police cars and precinct stations, courthouses, Joe Biden called them, ‘peaceful protesters.’”

It wasn’t just the likes of Biden having described riots as some sort of “peaceful” demonstration, but numerous media outlets and personalities have been participating in the same sort of means of describing what are blatantly violent riots.

President Trump stated that when it comes to the Republican Party, those within the political party liken police officers to “heroes” instead of the “villains” that they’ve been painted as of late.
When looking at Biden’s comments on the atrocious act that happened against those two deputies, he took to Twitter to write the following:
“This cold-blooded shooting is unconscionable and the perpetrator must be brought to justice. Violence of any kind is wrong; those who commit it should be caught and punished. Jill and I are keeping the deputies and their loved ones in our hearts and praying for a full recovery.”

While Biden’s statement wasn’t bad or ill-worded, it’s also kind of ironic that he’s “keeping the deputies and their loved ones” in his heart when he’s been complicit in stoking the flames that have kept the anti-police sentiments going on for months.
This is coming from the same Biden that referred to policing having systemic racism embedded into the culture of the profession. Back in June, when Biden was asked of there’s “systemic racism in law enforcement”, he responded with the following:
“Absolutely. But it’s not just in law enforcement, it’s across the board. It’s in housing, it’s in education, and it’s in everything we do. It’s real. It’s genuine. It’s serious. And it is — it is able to be dealt with. Look, not all law enforcement officers are racist; my lord, there are some really good, good cops out there. But the way in which it works right now is we’ve seen too many examples of it.”
Except, there haven’t been any recent examples of bonafide “systemic racism” in policing, but rather some police-involved shootings or in-custody deaths where suspects happened to be black.
In the George Floyd case (which kicked off nationwide riots), race was a circumstantial detail of the account but not proven to have influenced matters – same as with the Jacob Blake case which Biden recently commented on.
In a not so surprising turn, Biden had more to say on the Blake shooting (who was wanted for third-degree rape and is still alive after the shooting) than he did on the case of two deputies being ambushed and shot. And once again, Biden alluded to systematic racism as being a contributing factor in Blake’s shooting:
“This morning, the nation wakes up yet again with grief and outrage that yet another Black American is a victim of excessive force. This calls for an immediate, full and transparent investigation and the officers must be held accountable. These shots pierce the soul of our nation. Jill and I pray for Jacob’s recovery and for his children. Equal justice has not been real for Black Americans and so many others. We are at an inflection point. We must dismantle systemic racism. It is the urgent task before us.”

So, to keep things into perspective, when two sheriff’s deputies are sitting in their vehicle and someone walk up and shoots them in the head, Biden says it’s “unconscionable” – but doesn’t mention it being fueled by hatred of police.
When a man wanted for a felony refuses police orders and reaches into a vehicle when told not to and is shot by police, then Biden calls it “systemic racism”.
Strange how that works.

Here is more on how Trump has called out Biden on his passive stance on things.
LATROBE, PA – During a rally held by President Donald Trump on September 4th, the president addressed the crowd sharing some strong words when delivering his synopsis of how Joe Biden would run the country versus how he intends to continue doing.
President Trump noted that Biden would ignore law and order when it pertains to the violent rioters we’ve seen in the past few months, and even go so far as placating them in their destructive efforts:
“Biden’s plan is to appease the domestic terrorists. My plan is to arrest them.”
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) September 4, 2020
The president stated that Biden has been part and parcel in the gaslighting when framing what is going on during the protests and riots, noting how Biden has characterized them as being “peaceful protesters”:
“Joe Biden and his party spent the entire summer cheering on the rioters rampaging through Democrat-led cities, falsely labeling them as peaceful protesters.”
During the address, President Trump alleged that therein lies a sort of pact between the violent rioters in the streets and liberal politicians and affluent individuals due to an intersectional disdain toward the middle class:
“The globalists and the leftists make natural partners because they are united by their contempt for the American middle class. That’s why powerful corporations and far-left politicians have both sided with radical demonstrators.”
President Donald Trump on Tuesday continued campaigning against the violent radical left rioters in America’s major cities, describing them as “domestic terrorists.” https://t.co/EWFbpkAbQL
— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) September 9, 2020
President Trump also delivered another strong point during the address, pointing out that those propping up Biden are among the miscreants in the streets while he’s actively getting endorsed by police organizations:
“Do what you want: vote for the candidate backed by violent left-wing rioters if you have to. Or, do what you want to vote for the candidate backed by the selfless heroes of law enforcement.”
Well, there were 45 school shootings in 2019 (when counting anyone – not just a student – being shot on school property). So, 99.9995 schools were safe from shooters. But that didn't stop people talking about school shootings being a problem.

The president believes that Biden will never run a campaign that uses the phrase “law and order”, as he feels it would alienate the base that Biden is trying to appeal toward:
“He’ll never get to say that. Can’t say that, because then he’d lose the whole left. And let me tell you, the left is running that party. You don’t want to be dealing with the left. These people are stone cold crazy.”
As mentioned earlier, President Trump has received glowing support from law enforcement officials and organizations. That includes the New York Police Benevolent Association.
On August 14th, President Donald Trump held a small rally of sorts within his Bedminster golf course in New Jersey while addressing the anti-cop sentiments being pushed by radicals among those left-of-center.
During said event, he also received an endorsement from none other than the City of New York Police Benevolent Association.

This was President Trump’s second appearance in recent times at the Bedminster golf course, as he’d previously appeared at his golf course to address supporters and questions from the press on August 7th.
During the August 7th event, members of the press were trying to scold the president by insinuating he was setting a bad example since people among the crowd were initially not social distancing or some not wearing masks at the onset either.
When those questions were hurled by members of the press, President Trump stated:
“To me they pretty much look like they all have, pretty much all have masks on.”

Which while some photos showed the crowd unmasked, other photos showcased them adorning face coverings later.
Moving on to the August 14th event, President Trump addressed reportedly hundreds of members from the NYPD, informing them that “no one will be safe in Biden’s America,” if the Biden/Harris ticket succeeds in November.
President Trump continued, stating that if he is elected to a second term, them New York’s finest will regain the due respect for their service:
“This guy [Biden] has been taking your dignity away and your respect. And I’m telling you on November 3rd you’re going to be getting it back.”
After conveying that Biden and Harris won’t be able to maintain any semblance of law and order while in office, the City of New York Police Benevolent Association formally endorsed President Trump’s campaign for 2020.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 15, 2020
NYCPBA President Pat Lynch stated the following during the endorsement:
“I have 36 years in this job, 26 as the president of this fine organization. I cannot remember when we have ever endorsed for the office of the president of the United States – until now. That’s how important this is.
Mr. President, we’re fighting for our lives out there. We don’t want this to spread to the rest of the country, we need your strong voice across the country to say ‘we have the support of law enforcement across this country’.”
Lynch continued from there, telling President Trump that he “earned” the endorsement from the NYCPBA.
President Trump has been hammering down on the notion of restoring order in the country if elected for a second term, with him saying earlier in the week that police officers in New York can’t even do their job properly due to numerous restrictions and proverbial red-tape:
“In New York, you have New York’s finest, but they’ve totally taken away their incentive. They’ve taken away their lives, in a sense, because they don’t allow them to do their job.”
Come to think of it, you don’t really hear about any other police unions going to bat for Biden. That can certainly make one wonder.
Endorsing President Trump these days often provokes backlash – and institutions with power and influence have been caught trying to silence and punish those who dare show a glimpse of support toward our standing president.
