As police are assaulted and work overtime across America, Biden takes a third of the month off the campaign trail

For the tenth time in September, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign called a “lid” for all public activities, meaning he will not have any public events or travel scheduled nor will he conduct any press conferences or dispense any press releases.

Allegedly, Biden told the media back on September 23rd that he would be “heavily” engaged for the remainder of the week with preparations for the first upcoming presidential debate. However, the move by Biden’s campaign to call another lid with less than 40 days until the election, elicited criticism across social media platforms.

In fact, many were quick to note that the former Vice President was on track to be off the campaign trail for more than a third of the entire month of September and that the campaign had already called at least four lids in the past seven days alone.

Joe Concha, a media reported for The Hill shared this via Twitter:

“Joe Biden called a lid on the day earlier this morning. No events, no questions. Less than 6 weeks before the election, the Democratic nominee is working at a 50% clip, calling a lid 7 of the past 14 days and 11 of the past 26 this month. Is this a preview of a Biden presidency?”

Other reporters noted that Biden’s schedule stands in stark contrast to that of President Donald Trump, who has actually increased his travel in recent weeks as the general election has kicked into high gear.

On Friday, during a visit to Atlanta, Georgia, Trump took a shot at Biden’s team for the frequency with which they allow the candidate to disappear from the campaign trail.

Trump said:

“It I lose to this guy, that’s like losing to a fighter, that you know, hasn’t worked out in the last six months. This guy never goes out! It’s terrible, huh?”

Biden’s team continues to claim that his absences from the campaign trail has much to do with precautions being taken to help keep COVID-19 at bay from the nominee.

Biden operates in a sanitizer-saturated bubble within the traditional presidential campaign bubble, an environment designed and obsessively cultivated by his staff in an attempt to protect him from a possible encounter with the virus.

Politico reported that the rational behind the madness is both personal and political. At 77, Biden is more susceptible to the virus that causes COVID-19 and his age alone puts him at higher risk of serious complications from the illness.

Biden’s crowds at campaign events are generally kept to the low dozens. Members of the media are segregated in individual white circles sketched on the ground. Staffers arrive early to venues to measure distances and place sticky notes marking locations where masked guests are instructed to hold their position to ensure at least 6 feed of separation.

Biden’s overt precautions have drawn criticism and chafed some in his party. Terrance Warthen, former co-chair of Our Wisconsin Revolution said Biden took it too far when he cited COVID019 concerns in moving his nominating speech to Wilmington instead of Milwaukee.

Warthen said that Biden should have given the speech and could have even taken a safe bus trip and waved out the window to at least pay respects to the city and state.

He said:

“He could have had a very safe and isolated trip. That would have been a cherry on top of a decent remote convention. He has the resources to do it, it’s the middle of a presidential race. Is he taking Wisconsin for granted?”

While Joe Biden continues to put lids on his campaign trail appearances and stays in his safe, sanitized presidential campaign bubble, law enforcement officers from coast to coast are being disrespected, assaulted, and killed during violent riots.

Not to mention, they get on shift every day continuing to protect and serve their communities while crowds of hundreds of people protest during a widespread pandemic. These officers have no safe, sanitized bubble and many of them are in cities that have zero backing from city officials.

Their budgets have been slashed and their qualified immunity has been taken away. They are threatened and told that they do not matter. People scream in their faces, “abolish the police” and when two deputies are ambushed and shot, they protest outside of the hospital yelling, “I hope you die.”

I bet many officers across the county would love to put a “lid” on some of their days and not have to respond to their duties, but that is not the job they signed up for. They took an oath to protect and serve, regardless of the blatant disrespect they face today.

KENOSHA, WI- The shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, by Kenosha police officers reignited outrage and rioting in the state of Wisconsin. Now, Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden has labeled the shooting “systemic racism” and has yet to condemn the violent riots in Kenosha.

Last night Blake was shot while officers were responding to a domestic disturbance in the 2800 block of 40th Street. Witnesses reported that officers attempted to tase Blake but that was not enough to subdue him. As Blake attempted to evade arrest and walk to his vehicle an officer shot him multiple times.

Blake received immediate medical care and is now in stable condition according to the attorney representing the Blake family, Ben Crump. Crump also posted the graphic video of Blake getting shot to Twitter:

After this video went viral on social media rioting began across the city. Multiple businesses are reportedly burnt to the ground or severely damaged.

Reports have also rolled in suggested that some of the rioters were armed and fired at police officers late last night.

In response to the havoc across Kenosha Joe Biden made a Facebook post stating:

Yesterday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back as police attempted to restrain him from getting into his car. His children watched from inside the car and bystanders watched in disbelief.

“And this morning, the nation wakes up yet again with grief and outrage that yet another Black American is a victim of excessive force. This calls for an immediate, full and transparent investigation and the officers must be held accountable.

“These shots pierce the soul of our nation. Jill and I pray for Jacob’s recovery and for his children.

“Equal justice has not been real for Black Americans and so many others. We are at an inflection point. We must dismantle systemic racism. It is the urgent task before us. We must fight to honor the ideals laid in the original American promise, which we are yet to attain: That all men and women are created equal, but more importantly that they must be treated equally.”

Readers were quick to notice that Biden refused to decry the violent rioters taking over the streets of Kenosha and instead focused on the role “systemic racism” played in the shooting.

Further Biden did not call for a peaceful resolution to the rioting or defend the business owners whose livelihoods are now destroyed.
