NY Jets Salute Heroes from Linden Police Department

The New York Jets are honoring first responders Dec.5. They invited Linden police officers to their home game.

The New York Jets Military/Law Enforcement Liaison Representative, Steve Castleton, extended the invitation along with an autographed football to the Linden Police Department and Mayor Derek Armstead.

New York Jets defensive lineman, and Linden resident, Muhammad Wilkerson “96” autographed the football with the message “Thanks for keeping us safe.”

Castleton also brought NY Jets hats for the four heroes involved in a shootout with a bombing suspect Sept 19.

The hero officers will appear from the tunnel at the beginning of the game. They will be followed by a contingent of New Jersey State Police motor officers accompanied by other first responders.

Castleton added that Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is a big supporter of law enforcement and the military. He congratulated the officers on behalf of the Jets organization.

Mayor Armstead and Police Chief Parham both echoed these sentiments. They are very proud of the work these officers performed on that September morning.
