New York Democrat breaks ranks with party, sides with Florida Republicans on Parents Rights in Education bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Tom Suozzi just did the unfathomable. He broke ranks with his fellow Democrats and lauded the Parent’s Right in Education bill recently passed in Florida as common-sense legislation.

Suozzi, who currently represents New York’s 3rd District and is a candidate for governor, even said the bill is reasonable.

“I think it’s a very reasonable law not to try to get kids in kindergarten to be talking about sex,” he told Sid Rosenberg on the radio show Bernie and Sid in the Morning. “I wish it wouldn’t become such a hot button issue where people are just attacking each other – it’s just common sense.”

Suozzi is correct. The Florida law is reasonable, and it is common sense.

I’m very much in favor of equal rights,” he continued. “I’m very much in favor of treating gay people fairly and treating them like the human beings they are.”

Suozzi even doubled down, telling City and State NY:

“Let me be clear, as I said on the radio, I fully support LGBTQ and equal rights. I absolutely do not support the Florida governor in most policies he supports. But I think it is reasonable that kids in kindergarten and first grade are not taught about their sexual orientation in school. Maybe this isn’t a politically correct position, but it certainly seems like common sense to me.”

It may be easy to spot the side of the argument that City and State comes from, given that the headline for their piece was entitled, “Suozzi calls Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law ‘reasonable.'”

They followed that up in the first paragraph by accusing the New York Democrat of “leaning into right-wing talking points.”

Meanwhile, his potential opponent and current governor of New York went on record against the bill.

“The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill that far-right Republicans in Florida are pushing through is hateful, discriminatory, and dangerous. Let me be clear: In New York, we will always stand up for the rights of our LGBTQ+ community.”

Other New York politicians went directly after Suozzi.

As reported by City and State, State Representative Jabari Brisport said via text:

“One in three trans youth have considered suicide and a queer nightclub in Brooklyn was recently set on fire. Tom Suozzi should be finding ways to support the LGBTQ+ community, not validating Ron Desantis’ bigoted moves.”

It is unclear how a queer Brooklyn nightclub being set on fire correlates with a Florida law preventing K-3 students from being indoctrinated with “education” that tells a 5-year-old that if they don’t want to be a boy anymore, they don’t have to be.

The Parent’s Rights in Education bill not only sparked the ire of many Democrats, but also the Disney Corporation. All of this while trying to clean up the fact that 4 of their employees were recently arrested as part of a large human trafficking operation in central Florida.

The same company who had executives say that they have no problem covertly and subtly pushing the LGBTQ agenda in children’s movies, also said:

“Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

Keep in mind, all the Florida law does is keep schools from being able to discuss certain topics with younger age school children, opting instead to allow parents to determine what is appropriate and acceptable for their children to hear and learn on the topic.

Governor DeSantis goes full-blown beast-mode on family-bashing Disney: “Why is this the hill to die on?”

This editorial is brought to you by a veteran and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

The Disney Corporation has been extremely outspoken and critical of the recently passed legislation in Florida – House Bill 1557. It is accurately named the Parental Rights in Education Bill.

The media conglomerate has made its official corporate stance on the race to indoctrinate society with LGBTQ+ ideology quite clear. Florida governor Ron DeSantis was not afraid to respond to the company’s criticism, pointing out their hypocrisy.

The media has branded it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Disney ran with that moniker as it took to Twitter to voice its outrage.

“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that.

We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

DeSantis, who challenged local media to point to the part of the bill that alluded to “Don’t Say Gay,” was ready with a response to Disney’s comments.

“It’s interesting when…a Disney-owned ABC would put that out on tweet, they’d say ‘Governor DeSantis signs bill to prohibit instruction and sexual identity and gender identity in some grades.’

‘Some grades?’ why would they say some grades instead of K through three? You saw a lot of this, but then for Disney to come out and put a statement and say that the bill should have never passed, and that they are going to actively work to repeal it, I think one was fundamentally dishonest, but two, I think that crossed the line.

This state is governed by the interest of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives. They do not run this state, they do not control this state.

To say that they are going to actively work to repeal substantive protections for parents, as a company that is supposedly marketing its services to parents with young children, I think they crossed the line.

People ask me about their posture on the bill. I said, ‘You know what, if we would have put in the bill that you were not allowed to have curriculum that discussed the oppression of the Uyghurs in China, Disney would have endorsed that in a second.

And that’s the hypocrisy of this and we’re going to make sure we’re fighting back when people are threatening our parents and threatening our kids.”

The day after signing the bill, DeSantis appeared on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight.

He doubled down on his take on Disney, according to Breitbart, telling Carlson that Disney has no problem taking money from China or taking their cruise lines to Dominica, which is a country that criminalizes homosexuality, but somehow, they have chosen teaching transgenderism in kindergarten for their “hill to die on” mindset.

“You’ve got to wonder, like, why is the hill to die on to have transgenderism injected into kindergarten classrooms, or woke gender ideology injected into second-grade classrooms? Why is that the hill to die on?

Meanwhile, if we had done a bill that prohibited talking about the abuse of Uyghurs in China, Disney would’ve supported that legislation, because they don’t want to say a word about that. So, it’s just an odd manifestation of their corporate values that they actually do Disney cruises, Tucker, to the nation of Dominica, which criminalizes homosexuality.

So, they’re fine doing that and lining their pockets. They’re fine lining their pockets from the C.C.P. and all the atrocities that go on there, but it’s those kindergartners in Florida that they really want to have transgenderism as part of their core curriculum in school.”

And, if you don’t believe that Disney is trying to force the alphabet mafia’s agenda down our kids’ throats, take a look at this admission from Disney Executive Producer LaToya Raveneau and her “not-so-secret” gay agenda.

It almost sounds like Disney wants to advance the sexual exploitation of our children.

Days after Disney CEO slams Florida law protecting kids, Disney employees arrested in massive sex sting

ORLANDO, FL- On Wednesday, March 16th, the Sheriff of Polk County held a press conference announcing the massive sting operation which led to 108 arrests being made, including four Disney employees.

According to the Post Millennial, the announcement came just days after the CEO of Disney loudly and publicly opposed Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education Act, which polls allegedly show, is supported by over 60 percent of Americans.

The sting, dubbed “Operation March Sadness Two,” was a multi-agency effort centered around Florida’s Polk County, which lies just southwest of the Orlando urban area and is typically full of tourists.

The sting was a six-day undercover investigation that focused on human trafficking, prostitution, and child predators.

Most of the arrests involved people accused of human trafficking or soliciting prostitution, the sheriff’s office also made four arrests for alleged crimes against children. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement:

“This is huge. Four arrests of this magnitude is simply remarkable.”

There were also four Disney employees among the 108 arrests, including a man who worked as a lifeguard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Deputies said that 27-year-old Xavier Jackson, who worked as a lifeguard at the resort, sent sexual images and graphic descriptions of “what he wanted to do” to an undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old girl. Judd said:

“You think there’s a few children around here? That’s right, I didn’t stutter. He was a lifeguard at the Polynesian Resort and he was bragging about that.”

Three other Disney employees were arrested during the operation, however, their alleged crimes did not involve minors.

One of the accused suspects, is a 24-year-old man who worked at the Cosmic Restaurant in Walt Disney World’s Tomorrowland. He reportedly worked at Disney for four years. A software developer for Disney and someone who works in IT for the company were also arrested.

Sheriff Judd also stated that 66-year-old Daniel Peters, of Illinois, was also arrested. Peters served as a judge in Cook County (4th Sub Circuit) and as a special assistant for legal affairs at the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois.

Deputies said that Peters requested an attorney, to which Sheriff Judd responded by saying:

“Well judge, you need an attorney. You got problems.”

Peters was charged with soliciting a prostitute. Polk County Detectives said they identified prostitutes who posted online advertisements as well as “johns” who sought the prostitutes online.

The sheriff’s office said the operation “had the intent to identify and free any victims who were being forced into prostitution [human trafficking], or anyone participating in the trafficking of victims.”

Among those already listed, a worker at the Fun Spot family amusement park was arrested as well as a woman accused of trafficking another young woman.

Wilakson Fidele works at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland and Ralph Leese works in IT. Reportedly, Walt Disney World has placed the three employees on unpaid leave. Timothy Finley, a 39-year-old handyman, has been charged with traveling to meet a young child, resisting arrest, attempted lewd battery, and transmission of explicit material.

Shannon Johnson, 41, has been charged with traveling to meet a 13-year-old girl, attempted lewd battery, and transmission of explicit material. Jody Rose, 36, is facing 11 felony charges for allegedly sending sexually explicit material to who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, saying, “Don’t tell the cops.”

Judd also singled out Richard Jackson, who has been accused of seeking a prostitute and who deals with children as an employee at Fun Spot amusement park; Nelson Cruz, a Cracker Barrel manager who allegedly told authorities he was seeking a prostitute after an argument with his wife; and Tiffany Nash, a KFC manager with 61 prior criminal charges who was allegedly caught bringing a trafficking victim to what she believed was a sexual encounter.

Auburndale Police Chief Andy Ray addressed reporters after Judd to thank all parties involved in the successful operation. He said:

“Everybody is involved in this because it’s important and because the victims of human trafficking and the sex business deserve our help and need our help. We’re happy to be part of taking people off the street that are dangerous to your kids and the community.”
