Not ‘the face of America’: Biden and NASA decide white men won’t be going to the Moon

HOUSTON, TX – In a controversial move, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has committed to sending a woman and black man to the Moon, leaving white men excluded regardless of qualifications or experience.

Under the Artemis program, NASA declared in April 2021 to exclude white men from the moon landing. On their government website, NASA wrote:

“With Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before.

“We will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish the first long-term presence on the Moon. Then, we will use what we learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.”

NASA claims that their plan to return to the moon in 2025 will be for the betterment of all mankind, writing:

“We’re going back to the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and inspiration for a new generation of explorers: the Artemis Generation.

“While maintaining American leadership in exploration, we will build a global alliance and explore deep space for the benefit of all.”

Apparently, the “Artemis Generation” will be founded on the premise that white men need not apply.

In an April 09, 2021, statement, Acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk stated that President Joe Biden’s FY 2022 discretionary funding request to Congress included $24.7 billion for NASA to put a woman and man on the moon as a step to eventual manned landings on Mars.

Ironically, the President specifically forbids white men from qualifying for the moon shot in the name of equality. Jurczyk wrote:

“The president’s FY 2022 discretionary funding request keeps NASA on the path to landing the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon under the Artemis program.

“This goal aligns with President Biden’s commitment to pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all. With NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft.”

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, who was sworn in in in May 2021, said the Artemis project’s main goals after delays caused by the pandemic and a lawsuit include putting non-white male astronauts on the moon by 2025:

“The human landing system is a crucial part of our work to get the first woman and first person of color to the lunar surface, and we are getting geared up to go.”

Women have flown in space before. Humans began flying in space in 2961, and the first female astronaut launched into space in 1963.

The first woman in space was Valentina Tereshkova, a Soviet cosmonaut. She launched into space on the Vostok 6 mission on June 16, 1963.

On June 18, 1983, Dr. Sally Ride became the first American astronaut when she launched into space on the space shuttle Challenger as a mission specialist for STS-7.

The first person of color to fly in space was Cuban Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez. He flew on September 18, 1980, with Soviet cosmonaut Yuriy Romanenko aboard Soyuz 38 to the Soviet space station Salyut 6.

U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Guion S. Bluford became the first African-American to launch into space. Lt. Bluford joined the crew of the space shuttle Challenger for the shuttle program’s first night launch on August 30, 1983.

Despite the long history of women and “men of color” participating in the space program, Nelson told a group of middle school students and Florida A&M-Florida State College of Engineering students in October that NASA was no longer “all white male test pilots”:

“The astronaut corps looks a lot different. They’re not all white male test pilots, now they’re women and they’re people of color and they’re PhDs and they’re medical doctors and they’re scientists

“It’s faces just like your faces. The faces of America.”

According to NASA and the Biden administration, those “faces of America” do not include white men.

Isn’t this illegal? Woke private school holds event where it bans white students from attending

February 15, 2022

The following contains editorial content which is the opinion of the writer.

PROVIDENCE, RI- How did we get to the point where it appears to be okay to once again discriminate based on skin color? Yet that is apparently where we find ourselves.

The latest such case is taking place at The Wheeler School in Providence, Rhode Island, where white students were prohibited from attending a presentation by a guest speaker, with only those who “identify as a student of color or multiracial” able to attend, Breitbart reports.

On February 7, 2022, the school sent an email to students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade where they invited only non-white students to attend a “Students of Color affinity group” event with Karyn Parsons, an actress and author who is known for her role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

“Hello friends!

The Students of Color affinity group will meet tomorrow at lunch in the GCA-2nd floor lounge area. Lunch will be provided.

We’ll have a chance to meet and talk with our special guest, Karyn Parsons who is an actor and author.

If you identify as a student of color or multiracial, please join us!” [emphasis added]

The email was obtained by Parents Defending Education.

The term “affinity group” is typically used, Breitbart notes, as a code word by those who engage in critical race theory for racial segregation.

The term is also used for other forms of segregation, Breitbart says, based on “common identity characteristics,” which puts importance on certain attributes or characteristics in order to “justify excluding those with different characteristics from participating in activities.”

Parents Defending Education was told by both students and parents from the school that “white students at the middle school level were not allowed to attend.” In lower grade levels, such blatant discrimination against white students is not observed, they said.

Parsons defended the school’s decision on Twitter, however, did not deny the racial segregation at the school, suggesting that white students could have met with her in other sessions at which she presented.

“I visited Wheeler School 4 BHM & spoke w/3 different, completely diverse groups of students. The 4th was a Students of Color Affinity Group. Any child in the classes I presented to wld have had the chance to meet me regardless of race. I cherish all my fans. Of every color.”

Breitbart noted this is apparently nothing new for the Wheeler School, which has previously faced criticism for radical racism.

Wheeler also sponsors a “Antiracism Working Group for White Parents and Guardians,” which has a number of radical source materials, which includes information on how to talk about race and whiteness, including the far-left radical “Woke Kindergarten.”

Wheeler’s diversity, equity and inclusion page defines a robust “microaggression reporting process,” which includes woke phrases such as “microassault,” microinsult,” and “microinvalidation”—which “involves negating or ignoring the ‘psychological thoughts, feelings, or experiential reality of a person of color.’’ That was removed from the school’s website this past Saturday.

A “microassault” in the since-deleted section was defined as a “verbal or nonverbal attack meant to hurt the intended victim through name-calling, avoidant behavior, or purposeful discriminatory actions.” Breitbart was able to obtain a screenshot of the page before they deleted it.

“It’s truly astonishing that in 2022, schools consider it acceptable behavior to exclude students on the basis of their skin color,” said Parents Defending Education President and Founder Nicole Neily. “It’s immoral, and something that prospective families, current families, and alumni should know—so that they can redirect their applications, tuition, and donations elsewhere.”

This is apparently what you get for over $40,000 per year in tuition for 6th through 12th grade, plus a $450 activity fee. If the child attends the Hamilton School at Wheeler, tuition for the same grades will set you back $53,175. Per year.

Interestingly here is the school’s “non-discrimination policy”:

The Wheeler School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or handicap…” [emphasis added]

Not so much apparently.
