PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Three women are in police custody after a lengthy car chase with Florida Highway Patrol troopers that ended with a PIT maneuver and each suspect getting tased.
The kicker of the story?
They were all naked.
The Florida trooper originally responded to a call of some suspicious individuals at a rest stop off to the side of I-75 on Wednesday morning. When the officer arrived on scene, she found 3 women completely naked.
They allegedly told the trooper they had just showered and were ‘air drying.’
Reports said that as the trooper attempted to ID the group and get some more information on why they were there, the women suddenly jumped into their sedan and sped off, hopping onto I-75 North.
The trooper immediately began pursuit and called for backup but was too far behind the car to properly gauge the location.
Luckily, a concerned citizen dialed *347 to report a reckless driver, providing turn-by-turn directions for where the suspects were heading. The FHP troopers quickly caught up.
The troopers deployed StarChase projectiles into the suspects’ car, which provides GPS tracking. Departments have been ramping up their use of this new tool to help cut back on dangerous high-speed pursuits.
Dispatch was then able to take over tracking the car. The vehicle pulled into a convenience store and stopped. As authorities moved in, they discovered the car was empty.
The 3 women then reportedly exited the store and got into the car, when a trooper attempted to arrest one of the women.
While the trooper was attempting to take her into custody, the driver intentionally drove directly at the trooper, who had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck.
One of the women allegedly took a metal bat from the car and attempted to hit the trooper.

A secondary trooper helped prevent the assault by ramming the suspect’s car with his vehicle. Amazingly, all three women were able to climb back into the car and take off again.
Dade City Police were able to successfully deploy stop sticks in the road, disabling the tires on the right side of the vehicle. The trooper was then granted permission to conduct a PIT maneuver to bring the car to a stop.
Authorities surrounded the car, instructing the women to surrender. They refused to comply, forcing the troopers to break the windows and tase all 3 suspects.
According to reports, the women were “interlocking their arms together in the car when the trooper broke the windows.”
