Welcome to Minneapolis: Twins can’t fill limited seats and are off to one of worst starts in baseball after embracing BLM

MINNEAPOLIS, MN- Since the opening of the Major League Baseball (MLB) 2021 season, the Minnesota Twins are off to one of their worst starts in over a half-century of baseball in the Twin Cities.

Through the last 30 games, the team that many reportedly picked to win another division title and who has a $125 million payroll, has lost 19 games and only won 11. This is the second worst record in all of baseball.

After the loss on Thursday, May 6th, the Twins have played a total of seven extra inning games so far this season and lost in all of them, which also has not happened to any MLB team in the last 100 years. The team has only scored one run in the 9th inning all season.

It seems that politics have made their way into the 2021 MLB season with the franchise starting the year by positioning themselves on the varying issues causing civil unrest across the country.

The franchise posted different social justice signs on Target Field’s walls, with some of them saying, “End Racism” and “Justice for George Floyd.” On April 12th, the Twins chose to cancel an afternoon game in response to a Brooklyn Center shooting. Fans were irate.

The Twins statement, which came out at 1:30 p.m., as thousands of paying fans were already in their seats, read:

“Out of respect for the tragic events that occurred yesterday in Brooklyn Center and following the additional details in this evolving situation, the Minnesota Twins have decided it is in the best interests of our fans, staff, players, and community to not play today’s game.”

After the cancellation of the game, Twins manager, Rocco Baldelli, said in a statement:

“All of us, all of us, especially us in Minnesota right now, are tired in a lot of ways of having these types of conversations. There’s a huge disappointment and sadness when you have to wake up to these things.”

He added:

“I shouldn’t say there’s a disbelief because I think we’ve seen these things happening around the country way too much, but it is very disappointing and very sad every time we see this.”

A week after the cancelled game, just hours before the Derek Chauvin verdict came through, ownership of the team delivered another statement that pushes their stance on what is transpiring across the country:

“The events of this past year have shown just how toxic and prevalent systemic and individual racism are to our community. We understand more deeply than ever the need to listen, learn, and empathize in order to find ways to move forward together to build a more just community for all.”

The statement added:

“The eyes of the world have been on the Derek Chauvin trial and now on the tragic death of Daunte Wright. We are horrified and ashamed that this keeps happening to black people in our community and many other cities across our country. As we await a verdict, we hope and pray our criminal justice system provides the justice George Floyd and his family deserve.”

Since these statements back in April, the team is now 12-19 and the attendance for their home games has been subpar with about 8,500 fans per game. Target Field allows 25 percent capacity or 10,000 people, which the Twins are struggling to fill.

Cincinnati bar: No more NBA games streamed until LeBron James is expelled from the league

April 26th, 2021

The following contains editorial content written by a retired police chief and current staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

CINCINNATI, OH- A bar owner in Cincinnati has vowed to cease showing NBA games until resident virtue signaling Los Angeles Lakers basketball player LeBron James is “expelled” from the league, according to a report on Fox News.

James is currently not playing due to sustaining a little boo boo, apparently a “high ankle sprain.”

Aside from Major League Baseball, players in the NBA are probably the most fragile among athletes playing in the four major sports. Basically if someone touches a basketball player’s uniform it’s a foul. So despite James’ “tough guy” persona, he’s really pretty much a wuss.

How weak are NBA basketball players? In 2011, then-New England Patriots lineman Logan Mankins tore his ACL in the first game of the season. Mankins went on to start a total of 15 games for the Patriots in that season.

In the NHL, during the 2013 Eastern Conference finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins center Gregory Campbell blocked a slapshot, breaking his leg. Instead of crawling to the bench, Campbell continued to kill off a penalty and stayed on the ice for nearly a full minute afterward.

Contrast that with NBA loudmouth and resident social justice warrior LeBron James. In 2007, poor LeBron had to sit out five games with a sprained finger.

In 2003, he missed three games with a sprained ankle. In 2010, he sat out four games to rest his elbow. Currently, James has missed over a month with an ankle sprain, while still raking in his salary.

Poor baby.

The point? James, who is a billionaire and who makes more in one game than most Americans earn in a year, while playing a child’s game is one of the biggest babies in the NBA. Or more accurately, in the entire sporting world.

Not only that but James is the world’s biggest hypocrite. He rails about so-called systemic racism in the United States, yet defended Communist China when pro-Democracy demonstrations were occurring in Hong Kong.

This despite the Chinese Communist regime putting Muslim Uyghurs in concentration camps and in spite of Nike using Chinese slave labor to manufacture the Nike sneakers which this fraud gets paid millions to rep.

Linnie’s Pub in Delhi Township in Cincinnati announced in  a Facebook post on Wednesday that they would no longer show NBA games.

That came on the same day James posted a tweet that a number of people interpreted to be a threat on the Columbus police officer who shot a teenager as she was attempting to stab another teenager to death.

The teen who was shot, 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant died of her wounds, prompting James’ threat.

James posted a tweet with a picture of the Columbus officer, reading “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” which appeared to be a threat on the life of the officer.

James later deleted the tweet after receiving significant criticism. Of course it’s easy for someone like James to criticize life and death decisions made by police officers, who must make such decisions within a split second.

In a subsequent tweet after deleting the first one, James of course tried to play the victim.

“I’m so damn tired of seeing black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because it’s being used to create more hate- This isn’t about one officer. It’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY.”

In a later tweet, James continued his criticism of the officer’s split-second decision to save the life of at least one black teenage girl while unfortunately having to take the life of another:

“ANGER does any of us any good ant that includes myself! Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened [to] that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail!”

Clearly, James wasn’t an English scholar in high school.

The most significant decisions James has to make is whether or not to take a two-point shot or a three-point shot, or maybe whether to flop like a dying fish after an opponent brushes against his uniform.

Moreover, the biggest risk LeFraud takes is the possibility of pulling a muscle in his uterus, er groin. Police officers meanwhile make life and death decisions, without the benefit of having hours to make such decisions.

Maybe it’s time for police officers to consult the self-proclaimed “King” before making such decisions:

Getting back to Linnie’s Pub, they wrote:

“If anyone wants to watch an NBA game, don’t come to Linnie’s Pub. We will not air them until LeBron James has been expelled from the NBA.”

In response, the very childish James posted a tweet of him yawning reading:

“Aww Damn! I was headed there to watch our game tonight and have a drink! Welp.”

Not that it matters for the NBA, which pretty much nobody is watching. According to Clay Travis of Outkick, NBA ratings were down 45% since 2011-12 on ABC. The last two NBA finals experienced double-digit declines. Ethan Krauss of The Athletic believes that will decline even further this year.

Linneman announced the policy in a Facebook post which has apparently mysteriously disappeared. It isn’t known if Linneman deleted the post, or if the social media police who work for Facebook as “fact checkers” deleted it.

In his deleted post, Linneman said, “They just need to play the game and that’s it. Their opinion doesn’t really matter. They’re using their position to push their opinions and that’s just not right.”

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Linneman claimed if either  former President Trump or the current occupant of the White House, Joe Biden made similar statements there would be calls for impeachment.

Linneman is one of a number of sports fans who have had enough of virtue signaling by major sports. Major League Baseball, which moved the All Star Game out of majority black Atlanta, Georgia to overwhelmingly white Denver, Colorado due to Georgia’s new voting bill is feeling such a backlash.

According to Breitbart News, MLB’s favorability among Republicans has cratered, with only 12 percent of Republicans holding a positive view of the league. That is down 35 points from 47 percent.

According to Morning Consult, “MLB had the highest net favorability rating among Republicans of the four major sports leagues before the All-Star game decision, but last week dropped below that of both the NHL and NFL,” they noted.

In other words, the message is clear to LeBron James, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and the rest of the woke zealots in professional sports. Just shut up and play the game.
