On Saturday, November 7th, just a few days after Election Day, former First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted that Democrats should reach out to Trump voters in the coming years, in an attempt to “unite” those that supported “lies, hate, chaos, and division.”
Let’s remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division. We’ve got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us.

As Breitbart news reported, her message underscored the difficulties Americans will face coming together after a bruising campaign.
“Let’s remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division. We’ve got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us.”

In response to the many news outlets who have called the election, stating that Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, won the 2020 presidential election with 290 electoral college votes, Michelle Obama tweeted:
“I’m beyond thrilled that my friend @JoeBiden and our first Black and Indian-American woman Vice President, @KamalaHariss, are headed to restore some dignity, competence, and heart in the White House. Our country sorely needs it.”
In another tweet she said:
“Thank you to all of you who poured every ounce of your hope and determination into this democracy over these past four years, registering voters, getting them into polls, keeping folks informed. More votes were cast in this election than ever before. It’s because of you.”

“And after we celebrate we should all take a moment to exhale after everything we’ve been through, let’s remember that this is just a beginning. It’s a first step. Voting in one election isn’t a magic wand and neither is winning one.”
Back in early October 2020, Michelle Obama released a video where she sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s record as president, particularly over the coronavirus pandemic, and his approach to racial injustice.
During this video, she described Trump as “not up to the job” and that the Trump presidency was accompanied by a “constant drumbeat of fear, division, and chaos that is threatening to spiral out of control.”
She also went on to compare Trump’s character unfavorably to that of her husband, Barack Obama, who was president from 2008 to 2016 and Joe Biden saying:
“After seeing the presidency up close for eight years, maybe the most important thing I’ve learned about the job is that how a president focuses their time and energy in office is a direct reflection of the life they’ve lived before entering the White House.”
“A president’s policies are a direct reflection of their values and we’re seeing that truth on display with our current president, who has devoted his life to enriching himself.”
This in itself is a divisive tweet. You cant preach unity and scorn the choices of the people you're supposed to reach out to. Ill advised, from someone I admire.

In her video she urged all Americans to vote for the Democratic party nominee, telling the nation:
“If you think things cannot possibly get worse, trust me, they can and they will if we don’t make a change in this election. Search your hearts and your conscience and then vote for Joe Biden like your lives depend on it.”
In 2016, Michelle Obama famously told Democrats at their convention in Philadelphia:
“When they go low, we go high.”
Yet, in her video from October 2020, she accused Trump and his allies of:
“Stroking fears about black and brown Americans in order to distract him from his breathtaking failures by giving folks someone to blame other than them.”
Then she claimed that Trump’s approach was “morally wrong and racist, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work.” She also attacked Trump in personal terms, accusing him of taking the Secret Service, who guard him and who protected her family and the White House staff “for granted.”
She accused Trump of seeking to “enrich himself and his family,” free his friends from prison, and cut taxes and regulations for the rich with the “regular folks” paying the price.

MIAMI, FL- Oh, Barry…for someone who likes to accuse others of doing the “old okey-doke,” you do a fair amount of that yourself.
Former President Barack Hussein Obama gave a speech to a “packed” house of about 20 people in Florida on Saturday, during which he made in the neighborhood of nineteen false claims about President Trump’s record. Courtesy of Breitbart News, here is what Obama said…all of which have as much credibility as “if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance.”
“He doesn’t have a plan” for coronavirus.
While Obama tried to claim the president didn’t address this in last week’s debate, Trump did in fact mention Operation Warp Speed, which is the administration’s plan to develop and distribute a vaccine to fight the coronavirus quickly.
He said that Trump couldn’t answer Leslie Stahl of 60 Minutes when asked about his priority in his second term.
Wrong again, Barry. “The priority now is to get back to normal, get back to where we were, to have the economy rage, and be great with jobs and everybody be happy. And that’s where we’re going and that’s where we’re heading,” Trump said.
“He doesn’t even acknowledge that there’s a problem.”
Once again, Obama got this wrong. The president in fact spoke about the coronavirus at his State of the Union Address back in the winter…you remember, the one where Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) ripped up his speech like a petulant child.
Obama said the president said, “If you put some bleach in you, that might clean things up.”
This is probably one of the most egregious lies told about the president, who at that particular coronavirus briefing was talking about new experimental technologies involving UV light; he was NOT talking about putting bleach inside anyone.
“America created 1.5 million more jobs in the last year of the Obama-Biden administration than in the first three years of the Trump-Pence administration.”
Obama appeared to be claiming that there were more jobs created in the last year of the Obama-Biden administration than the Trump-Pence administration created in three years combined. That is untrue, and easily disputable. Earlier this year, revisions indicated that yes, in 2016 more jobs were created in 2016 than any ONE subsequent year.
However according to seasonally adjusted data from the Bureau of Labor statistics, it showed that more people were employed in each of the first three years of Trump’s administration than in Obama’s last.
Also clearly it is easier to add jobs in the earlier stages of a recovery until later on, including a recovery that is eight-years-old. Statistics showed the Obama-Biden recovery was the slowest such recovery since World War II.
Obama claimed black unemployment went down, however “not because Donald Trump did anything.”
There are all manner of reasons why black unemployment was reduced under President Trump, not the least of which is immigration enforcement.
In 2007, a paper by the National Bureau of Economic Research showed that: “immigration has more far-reaching consequences than merely depressing wages and lowering employment rates of low-skilled African American males; its effects also appear to push some would-be workers into crime and later, into prison.”
The focus by Trump on domestic manufacturing capability also likely played a role.
The only people truly better off than they were four years ago are the billionaires who got Trump tax cuts.”
According to a Gallup poll, it found that 56% of registered voters acknowledged they were better off than they were four years ago, a record high. Also, it is demonstrable that a majority of Americans received a tax cut under the 2017 Trump tax reform.
“He barely pays income taxes.”
The president has, in fact, paid millions of dollars in taxes, despite losses in some years. Obama didn’t address the fact that, according to the Wall Street Journal, Biden and his wife Jill used an S-corp to avoid paying more than $500,000 in 2017 and 2018, therefore circumventing the payroll tax.
President Trump has “secret Chinese bank accounts.”
President Trump, being a businessman had licensing deals in China through his hotel chain which required having Chinese bank accounts. The account was not a personal account and has reportedly been inactive for five years.
“His first year in the White House he only paid $750 in federal income tax.”
This is incorrect; the president paid over seven million dollars in taxes in 2017, however used a tax credit from an earlier year to pay for it; in addition he also has donated his entire salary to the government.
Trump has no plan “when it comes to preexisting conditions.”
The president and Congressional Republicans have repeatedly promised to maintain pre-existing conditions under his proposed healthcare overhaul; in September an executive order was issued laying out his plan.
Trump “drove up costs” under Obamacare.
Obama lied; Obamacare premiums have been driven down under Trump.
Trump said: “We hope the Supreme Court takes your health insurance away.”
Once again, Obama lied. President Trump hasn’t said that, although he expressed the hope the court would end Obamacare, while noting that he would replace it with a better plan.
Trump is “MIA” when “Russia puts bounties on the heads of our brave soldiers in Afghanistan.”
The Pentagon has denied this claim, saying there was never any type of bounty put on American soldiers, claiming no “corroborating evidence” of such a Russian program.
“Joe Biden would never call the men and women of our military suckers and losers.”
That’s good, neither did President Trump. While that claim was made by “anonymous sources,” numerous “on the record” sources say it never happened; meanwhile Biden did call U.S. troops “stupid bastards.”
Trump asked if we could “nuke hurricanes.”
Even left-leaning Snopes says this claim is unproven. Obama also said that the president had suggested selling Puerto Rico, however that claim was largely unproven.
President Trump “cannot call out or even criticize white supremacists.”
He has repeatedly done so, and this claim, only meant to divide, is easily debunked.
The president “threatens people with jail for just criticizing him.”
Never happened. ONE time the president did threaten a reporter with prison time—only after he had defied instructions not to photograph a classified letter from Kin Jun Ung. However, Obama had his own issues with trying to prosecute people, in one case journalist James Risen of the New York Times as well as trying to blame an obscure filmmaker who produced a YouTube video which Obama, Hillary Clinton and other members of the Democratic stable blaming for the Benghazi terror attack in 2012 which killed four Americans at the U.S. consulate.
The EPA is “giving polluters free reign to dump unlimited poison into our air and water.”
Once again, Obama lies. This claim, which Breitbart calls “demonstrably untrue” neglects the fact that American air and water is cleaner now than before the president took office.
Letting Obama loose on the campaign trail to spread lies and disinformation shows one thing—that the Biden campaign and Democrats are desperate, despite polls showing them ahead of the president.
