Rest In peace Sgt. William Frey . We honor your life of service and sacrifice. We pray for the comfort of your loved ones, both blood and blue!
The following details were posted on the Fulton County Sheriff’s Reserve website:
Sergeant William Michael Frey, a veteran Motor Officer with nearly 28 years of service with the Fulton County (GA) Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit, was killed on June 4, 2017, while providing a funeral escort in Braselton, Georgia. Sgt. Frey, affectionately known as Mike, retired from a full-time career with the US Postal Service and leaves behind a wife and a host of family members. He was a loyal friend to many members of our unit and we will miss him dearly. Mike had a great passion for motorcycle riding, and we were fortunate he chose to share his skill and volunteer service with us.
Sgt. Frey served as the leader of our Reserve Motor Unit for several years and was also very active member of the Law Enforcement Division’s Transfer Unit. His passing is a great loss to his family and friends, our Reserve family, our agency and our community. We offer our sincerest sympathies to all who are impacted by his death and pray for peace and grace for all of us through our period of grief.
Sergeant Frey’s service began with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on June 12, 1989, and he served continuously with honor and dignity. He was looking forward to retiring soon, thus allowing others in the agency to carry the torch he carried so faithfully and steadfastly for nearly 28 years.
