Sheriff John Jensen of the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Department in Nebraska sadly reports the death of Deputy Jailer Randy Haddix.
Deputy Haddix, 56, suffered a cardiac medical emergency while he was participating in a custody and control training class as a part of his duties with the Sheriff’s Department.
Haddix was transported to the hospital for stabilization and then flown to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. for further medical intervention. Sadly, he passed away three days later while in the intensive care unit.

Haddix was a National Guard veteran and served the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Department for three months. He had previously served with the Broken Bow Police Department. He is survived by his wife, sister and two brothers.
