Chief Carla Provost, director of the Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection, sadly reports the death of Border Patrol Agent Donna Doss.
Agent Doss, 49, died as a result of injuries she sustained after being struck by a vehicle.
Doss was assisting Texas DPS Troopers on a traffic stop on I-20 near Abilene when she was struck by a passing vehicle. As a result, she sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene of the traffic stop.
Donna Doss served the Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection for 16 years. She is survived by her husband and children.
