Liberal elites have been making a fuss about President Donald Trump using a military airstrike to take out one single general in Iran who posed a threat to American lives, claiming he didn’t consult Congress first.
Seems as though they’re quick to forget about how Obama conducted the same kind of strikes over 2,800 times, yet the media was nearly silent. Here’s the backstory.
After President Trump had authorized the U.S. military to eliminate Iran’s secretive Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi threw a fit about not getting permission first.
During a statement delivered last Thursday, Pelosi said the following:
“The Administration has conducted tonight’s strikes in Iraq targeting high-level Iranian military officials and killing Iranian Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani without an Authorization for Use of Military Force against Iran. Further, this action was taken without the consultation of the Congress.”
Pelosi further stated that Congress needs to be briefed on President Trump’s authorized airstrike that occurred and any next steps being considered by the administration, such as troop deployment in the region.
Did all the news media outlets and Democrats forget that Obama did the same thing in Iraq and Syria literally thousands of times?
Back in April of 2015, the Washington Times reported on the numerous airstrikes approved by then-President Obama, detailing a total of 1,458 strikes in Iraq and 1,343 in Syria with hardly a peep from the media.
Of course, we’re talking about a news media that slams Trump for having two scoops of ice cream, so him exercising his military authority quite honestly makes their heads explode.
Where was the Democrat outrage when Obama launched 2,800 unauthorized air strikes
Where were the #WWIII trending tweets?
Where were the leftwing American apologists then?
This is all faux outrage over a decisive American victory
They hate Trump more than they love America

The justification that Obama used to enact the military actions he did is literally the same one that endows President Trump the ability to make the call he did, utilizing the commander in chief powers.
Also, the Bureau for Investigative Journalism in 2017 stated that Obama launched 10 times more airstrikes in the covert war on terror than Bush. Obama managed to kill anywhere between 384 and 807 civilians within Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen, but Trump takes out a terrorist leader and Congress along with the press loses it.
Aside from the commander in chief powers, both Obama as well as President Trump are in the clear for their airstrikes due to the Authorization for Use of Military Force that Pelosi attempted to cite as being violated. The AUMF isn’t something where presidents need to seek permission to use the military, it allows the president to pursue and take out those responsible for 9/11, plus any associated forces.
We’re all aware that al-Qaeda was responsible for 9/11 and that Osama bin Laden was removed from the picture some time ago, but the key words here are “associated forces”.
Suleimani has already been tied to Hezbollah, a terrorist organization. What many might not know is that al-Qaeda and Hezbollah have been in bed since July 2006, evidenced by a video released by previous al-Qaeda spokesman Ayman al-Zawahiri. So, if Suleimani was in league with Hezbollah, and Hezbollah was connected with those responsible for 9/11, then that makes the strikes completely permissible.

Even years after Obama had taken out Osama bin Laden, he was still able to rely on the AUMF to continually strike Iraq and Syria. What Congress didn’t realize when criticizing President Trump is that the AUMF hasn’t been repealed and can still be exercised.
What the Democrats are trying to do in this case is create more propaganda claiming that Trump did something he shouldn’t have. The spread of misinformation is all too convenient seeing that these folks in Congress are acting like their beloved Obama didn’t do the same thing – thousands of times.
Trump’s airstrike was perfectly legal. Make sure to share this article every time someone says otherwise.
After the airstrike resulted in the death of a top Iranian general with a terroristic past, reports have come in alleging that Iranian ballistic missiles are at a heightened state of readiness.
When the White House caught wind of this, President Trump issued a grave warning. Now Iran has put a $80 million bounty on the president’s head.
With all the clamoring surrounding America and Iran and whether they intend to attack U.S. soil or assets in the middle east, U.S. spy agencies uncovered that Iran was in the process of readying their ballistic missile units.
It’s not exactly clear whether there’s any concrete correlation between Iran’s missile related activities and the recent death of Qassem Soleimani, but it wouldn’t be crazy to assume that’s what they’re preparing them for.
When word got back to the White House about some missile shenanigans going on abroad, President Trump set aside decorum as he often does, and stated that messing the U.S. isn’t a bright idea.
In a series of tweets, the president spelled it out plainly to those even thinking about harming U.S. assets or allies:
“Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently hundreds of Iranian protesters.”
Trump then continued detailing the acts that led to Soleimani being removed from this earth, noting that he was preparing even more attacks against various locations within the region.
The president didn’t mince his words, and stated that the country of Iran has been an ongoing problem for years. Trump concluded his thoughts on Twitter, with a easy-to-read warning to officials in Iran:
“Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!”
The bigger concern, of course, is the fear of attacks from sleeper cells on the homeland. And those concerns are compounded by the idea that we don’t have a proper tracking system in place for many people in America.
On September 11, 2001, 19 men hijacked 4 planes and orchestrated one of the darkest days in our nation’s history. Four of those terrorists came to the US on visas and then stayed after the expiration.
There was no accurate method for tracking overstays or their whereabouts. Nearly two decades after terrorists exploited the U.S. government’s inadequate, more than 700,000 foreigners with expired visas remain at large in the country.
The latest government figures, as reported by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), show 702,000 overstays in 2017.
It has been almost 18 years since that horrific event and the government still hasn’t found a way to accurately and adequately track visa over stayers. According to a Judicial Watch report, they obtained Department of Homeland Security (DHS) figures in 2015 showing that 527,127 foreigners with expired visas remained in the country.
