Deputy Sheriff William Coleman, age 50, of Maricopa County, Arizona was shot and killed in the line of duty Sunday.   Coleman was responding to a burglary call in Anthem, Arizona.   He and another deputy approached a man in a van in the area of the reported burglary.  The suspect fired upon both deputies and was, in turn, killed himself.  It was not immediately clear which deputy killed the suspect.  Coleman was hit under his vest and was pronounced dead at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital.  Coleman was a 20 year veteran of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and is survived by a wife and several children.
