Man arrested for mailing feces – tainted mail to dozens of Republican lawmakers

AKRON, OH: People are arrested everyday for a variety of reasons; theft, robbery, assault, tax evasion- you name it.

But an Ohio man’s arrest is much different- and a bit nauseating.

77 year old Richard John Steinle of Akron, Ohio allegedly mailed several dozens of letters containing suspected feces to legislators in Ohio, Kentucky and Washington D.C.

Many people are up for pranks, but that’s a different kind of toilet humor.

According to a Fox 8 News report:

“Steinle is charged with mailing “injurious articles” that are non-mailable. He was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond after his initial appearance in Ohio’s Northern District federal court on Friday. He’s due back in court on Aug. 25.”

We would all like to let some politicians know how we really feel about their service, but this is on another level altogether.

Scribbled on some of the letters were ‘pig’ and ‘racist’ according to a U.S. Postal Service inspector. He must’ve smelled something that just wasn’t right.

The letters were sent to over two dozen recipients, including state and federal lawmakers. The letters never made it to the intended recipients, according to the Associated Press.

That’s good news- who wants to start their day like that.

The credit belongs to the postal employees who had stinky feeling about some of their mail.

The Fox 8News article stated:

“Later in July, postal employees in Lakemore found in their office’s collection box three more letters addressed to elected officials in Columbus that were ‘soiled in what appeared to be feces.’”

Number 1, the postal employees vigilance put an end to Steinle’s alleged ‘below the belt’ tactics to show his displeasure of lawmakers.

Number 2… well let’s not go there.

Another postal inspector went above and beyond the call of duty (no pun intended).

According to Fox 8 News:

“Another postal inspector followed Steinle from his home to the post office, and recorded him on video as he dropped off another letter ‘while wearing a glove.’”

Steinle allegedly used Ohio’s 9th District Court of Appeals, along with a clerks initials and home address as the return address.

It sounds like he had a grudge on more than just politicians.

Fox 8 News stated:

“In an interview with U.S. Marshals, that clerk suggested Steinle as the suspect, since they would regularly correspond and knew each other’s home addresses, according to the affidavit.”

Another interesting fact about is that only Republican’s were targeted.

Mike Rowe, Ohio Senate Democrats Chief of Staff said he’s:

“…not aware of any of our members being targeted.”

That’s just like Democrats, to fight dirty… very dirty.

Steinle’s Past

Steinle was employed by the Portage County Common Pleas Court for 17 years, but was forced to resign by Judge Lori Pittman in March 2017, court records reveal.

According to Fox 8 News:

“Steinle argued he was terminated for submitting an opinion editorial to the Plain Dealer that was critical of Gov. Mike DeWine’s handling of an $859 million fraud case within the Bureau of Workers Compensation, according to a federal civil rights lawsuit he filed against Judge Pittman later that year.”

The Health Hazards

Feces is no laughing matter. Not only is it gross on many levels, but it’s dangerous too. It has to potential to make people sick. Which is what makes this incident particularly heinous.

A Healthline.com blog post states:

“Parasites and viruses like hepatitis A and hepatitis E are also transmitted via poop. You can become ill by coming in contact with these through other measures, such as kissing an unwashed hand. Therefore, if you eat a larger amount of poop directly, you’re at greater risk for adverse symptoms.”

Health line continues:

“Sometimes you may accidentally ingest poop, such as eating contaminated foods. This will cause symptoms that are similar to those of food poisoning.”

It is illegal to mail dangerous items such as ‘biological and regulated medical waste’.

Anyone found guilty of violating this statute faces up to a year in jail. For anyone with intentions of harming another person by mailing such substances can face up to 20 years.

It has yet to be determined what the accused intentions were aside from creating a shitty situation for himself.

A more effective way to effect change in government is to attend public hearings and voice your concerns. Let’s just hope he washes his hands before he touches the microphone.

Warning: Mail and delivery drivers becoming new targets for exploding crime in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD –During the week of November 20, at least three different delivery drivers were targeted by armed criminals in Baltimore, Maryland.  The victims were either robbed or carjacked.

The string of incidents started on November 16, near Mosher Street. A mail carrier reported to police that an armed male carjacked him and stole his mail truck.
Police did not release if the victim was injured. Police said the mail truck was later located but did not give a location.

The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a $50,000 reward for any information on the case which would lead to an arrest and a conviction of those responsible.

A second reported incident occurred just a day later, on November 17, this time on Mary Avenue in east Baltimore. In this case, the Baltimore Police Department reported that a UPS driver had his truck stolen. There was no information if the driver was in the vehicle at the time or nearby. This vehicle was also later recovered.

Then on November 18, a private contractor for Amazon was delivering packages in the Highland Avenue area when a suspect entered the delivery vehicle. The victim in this case was able to remove the suspect from the vehicle and left the area as the suspect fled the scene.

Fox News spoke to Jeffrey Ian Ross, a criminologist with the University of Baltimore, regarding the recent crime trend in the city.  Noting an increase of mail and package delivery services during the holiday season and the pandemic, he said:

“There’s been an increase in the number of deliveries of packages, parcels and boxes.”

Ross, who commented that he believed that attacks on postal and delivery services drivers seem rare, the increase of people using these services creates an opportunity for thieves.  He said some of those thieves are taking advantage of the extra opportunities:

“It’s a cost-benefit calculation.  They may find that other avenues of normal criminality are drying up for them so they’re innovating.”

In other words, it may be harder for them to steal from stores and homes because people are home more, and the stores are open less during the pandemic.  As one opportunity dries up, thieves move on to other forms of criminal activity.

LET wants delivery drivers and mail carriers to be vigilant of their surroundings at all times. Make sure you pay attention to what is going on around you when you stop to make that delivery.

Keep your cell phone handy so you can call 911 if needed. Even if you cannot get on the phone to tell dispatchers what is occurring, calling 911 in most areas will give police GPS coordinates so they know where to send officers if you are in trouble.

Another type of mail related problems in our country.

President Trump lays out examples of mail-in voting fraud to reporters: ‘Gravely concerned about election integrity’

WASHINGTON D.C.– Since Democrats began pushing for mail-in voting, in the wake of the Coronavirus, President Trump has been very outspoken on its validity, and reliability.

Now, in a press conference on Sunday, September 27th, The President laid out evidence of mail-in voter fraud for reporters at the White House.

President Trump said:

“We are gravely concerned about the Democrat assault on election integrity,”

According to Breitbart, The President cited the following stories, questioning the integrity and stability of the mail-in voting process:

  1. In Brooklyn, 25 percent of mail-in ballots were ruled invalid during the June Democrat primary.
  2. In a New Jersey special election, nearly 20 percent of the ballots were thrown out, and four people are being prosecuted for fraud.
  3. In a Florida primary, more than 35,000 mail-in ballots were rejected, and over 100,000 ballots were rejected in California.
  4. In Pennsylvania’s primary, half of the counties were still counting ballots a week after the election.
  5. The story of discarded military ballots discovered in Pennsylvania, many of them were cast for Trump.
  6. Reports in Wisconsin of three trays of mail containing absentee ballots were found in a ditch.
  7. In North Carolina, voters reported receiving two ballots in the mail.

In addition, Trump then rehashed the inexcusable incident that took place with the results of the 2020 Democrat Iowa caucuses.

On the incident, Trump said:

“They still don’t really know who the winner is,”

He continued:

“I think they called somebody eventually but it was many, many, weeks later.”

The president went on to question whether Democrats should be interfering with how elections were being held in other states.

He said:

“They can’t run a simple caucus, yet now they’re trying to dramatically write election laws nationwide just weeks before an election,”

President Trump still maintains that Americans should be allowed to vote in person on November 3rd, to eliminate as much “fraud” as possible.

Trump said:

“There is no justification for these extreme changes to the election law,”

This upcoming election is going to be an intense one, with everyone sitting on the edge of their seats to see who will be elected, and the fall out that will ensue after on either side. Every single vote is imperative, and must be accounted for. With all of the evidence President Trump had provided of mail-fraud, it does not seem like the most reliable voting option.
