MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – The country music group Lady Antebellum is amazed by the Middletown Police Department’s entry into the lip sync challenge. The praise is noteworthy since the police agency used a tune made famous by the popular group.
Furthermore, the Ohio police department’s entry in the challenge sweeping the nation has gotten rave reviews, reported WCMH-TV.
Middletown police Chief Rodney Muterspaw says he’s “overwhelmed” by the response to a video his department created as part of a national lip sync challenge among police departments.

Lady Antebellum tweeted, “This #NeedYouNow lip sync is amazing!” They referred to an article from the Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News as part of their tweet. In addition to everyone getting a kick out of something that makes you smile, there is certainly marketing value for various recording artists in this as well.
Since its posting on Wednesday the video has been viewed more than 2 million times.
The police chief says it took about an hour to shoot the video. He says some officers were reluctant at first but everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.
