In Memoriam – Trooper First Class Blake T. CoblePennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan has announced that Trooper First Class Blake T. Coble of the Troop D, Beaver Station was killed in a vehicle crash this morning about 10:00 am. The crash involved a semi truck tractor and trailer combination vehicle and occurred on State Route 168 near Blackhawk Road in southern Beaver Township near the Ohio border.

The preliminary details of the crash indicate that the driver of the truck ran a stop sign at the intersection.  The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash and is cooperating with authorities.  The Pennsylvania State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.

Trooper Coble was transported to the Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Trooper Blake T Coble, 48, was a 23-year veteran of the Pennsylvania State Police.  He is survived by his wife, Brenda, and two children.  Brenda Coble is a Police Communications Radio Operator who served at the same state as her husband.

Trooper First Class Blake T. Coble is the 94th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to be killed in the line of duty.  Trooper First Class Blake T. Coble, gone but never forgotten.
