The Baltimore City Police Department reports that Officer Forrest “Dino” Taylor, age 44, has died as a result of injuries sustained in an on-duty vehicle crash while responding to back up other officers back on February 18th, 2012.

Officer Taylor was responding to assist other officers.  Taylor’s patrol vehicle lights and siren were operating.  An SUV ran a red light, striking his patrol car broadside, and pushing it into a utility pole.

Officer Taylor suffered severe injuries that required numerous surgeries. He had undergone another surgical procedure, but suffered complications as a result.  He passed away on August 29th, 2012.

Officer Taylor is survived by his loving wife and two children, along with two brothers, to mourn his loss.
