My brother, Chief Todd Robert Brown, of the Brasswell, GA Police Department died of a heart attack in his sleep on May 7, just short of his 50th birthday, taken from us far too soon. Sadly, heart disease is prevalent among law enforcement officers, believed to be caused by the demands of the profession.
Todd had been Chief for two years. He has previously served with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in Dallas, GA for over ten years.
We have been encouraged by the kind words from his co-workers, words of deep respect and admiration. They have shared with us that Todd was an awesome leader, mentor, friend, and one heck of an officer. He will be sorely missed by friends, co-workers, and most especially by his family.
As his younger sister, I idolized him growing up. I continued to love and respect him during his adult life. Todd was predeceased by his father on February 14, 2000. He also leaves behind our older brother, Dereck, mother Pansy, sons Steven and Dylan, and granddaughter Cheyanne. He is also survived by his wonderful and loving girlfriend, Candy and by his ex-wife and close friend, Terri Brown.
Chief Todd Robert Brown, gone but never forgotten.
