Email from FEMA shows illegal immigrants bused to D.C. from Texas will be put on trains to Florida

WASHINGTON, D.C. – According to a report from The Epoch Times, a newly surfaced email shows that an official with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) stated that the illegal immigrants arriving on buses from Texas would be “put on a train” to Florida if they did not have family to pick them up.

The Oversight Project, an investigative unit of The Heritage Foundation, obtained the email from the federal government via a Freedom of Information Act request.

The email was in regards to the governments response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s initiative to bus illegal immigrants apprehended at the nation’s southern boarder to the nation’s capital.

Back in April, the Republican Governor launched the border bus mission to give the D.C. community a small understanding of what has been experienced by Texas border towns as a direct result of the Biden administration’s lax border control.

In the email, dated April 13th, a FEMA official told a group of Washington health officials that Abbott “made good on his promise” to drop illegal immigrants off on the steps of the U.S. Capitol building.

A photo of the email is below:

It seems that the FEMA official is disappointed that the Texas Division of Emergency Management, which was allegedly tasked to arrange the buses, did not keep its Washington counterpart informed of the buses’ whereabouts. The official wrote:

“DC was in contact with Texas EM [Emergency Management] and they said they would alert DC when a bus was leaving and provide a manifest. They did not do that.”

The official said that FEMA has held meetings with Washington officials, Customs and Border Protection, non-governmental organizations from the border towns, and border town officials for advice on how to handle the situation. The official wrote:

“For this first drop, some were picked up by family members and the rest will be put on a train to Miami.”

The message was relayed by Patrick Ashley, senior deputy director of the D.C. Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Administration, and was introduced as a “quick update from FEMA.”

In a statement to The Epoch Times, FEMA press secretary Jeremey Edwards confirmed that the message was part of a “situation update” on April 13th, but that it should not be “interpreted” as official FEMA’s present or past policy. Edwards added:

“The email is reiterating what is happening on the ground at that snap-shot in time. The email does not state FEMA policy now or then. The email does not in any way suggest that FEMA was putting people on trains to Miami, which was not the case then, nor has it ever been the case.”

Some illegal immigrants who voluntarily accepted the one-way bus ticket to D.C. told news outlets that they would not be staying in the nation’s capital.

One young man from Venezuela, who was among the very first batch of arrivals, told Newsmax that his final destination was Miami.

The Daily Beast reportedly spoke to the same group of people, who stated they were planning to travel either to New York or Miami, with the help of Catholic Charities.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned those illegal immigrants who were planning on heading to Miami, to not bother as they are not welcome. The Republican governor’s office said in a statement:

“To those who have entered the country illegally, fair warning: Do not come to Florida. Life will not be easy for you because we are obligated to uphold the immigration laws of this country even if our federal government and other states won’t.”

The statement added:

“Florida is not a sanctuary state and our social programs are designed to serve the citizens of our state. The governor will protect the sovereignty of the state of Florida.”

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser continues to condemn Abbott for “tricking” people into accepting his bus ride offer.

Report: Biden administration guts immigration rules, moves to make it easier for illegal immigrants to become citizens

July 8th, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – A new policy was recently announced from the Biden Administration which makes it easier for those who illegally sneak into the country to become full-fledged legal citizens.

The move erases the former ten year wait requirement which had no doubt discouraged illegal immigration.

Formerly, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services would have denied any application for citizenship to those that had illegally entered the country under what was called the three-year/10 rule.

That rule meant anyone who did not have any type of legal status to be in the country for at least six months but less than a year had to leave the country and await three years before trying to come back legally.

Those who had been in the country illegal for over a year were forced to wait ten years before returning to the United States.

Emilio Gonzalez, who headed the USCIS under former Republican President George W. Bush, equated the move to erase the ten year requirement to that of former Democratic President Bill Clinton’s “don’t ask don’t tell policy.”

That policy refers to President Clinton’s way around allowing homosexuals in the military during the 90’s when being gay at that time would dismissal from the service.

Gonzalez said:

“We won’t ask you where you’ve been during your inadmissible period, and you don’t tell us. It’s sheer craziness.”

The new policy will allow anyone who has entered the country legally or illegally to apply for citizenship and admission into the country regardless of the circumstances. An excerpt of their policy states:

“Noncitizen’s location during the statutory 3-year or 10-year period and the noncitizen’s manner of return to the United States during the statutory 3-year or 10-year period are irrelevant for purposes of determining inadmissibility.”

While some have equated the recently reformed policy racist, others would not that it acted as a deterrent to those who wanted to illegally enter the country and jump ahead of those that were legally attempting to become U.S. citizens.

Now, with that barrier removed, some fear that scores of those who may have thought twice about coming into the country illegally will now believe that they can do so without fear of being deported or being sent to the back of the line in terms of immigrating.

This move comes at a time when multiple counties in the State of Texas are planning on declaring a state of emergency due to the mass amounts of those entering the country illegally.

The reports of 239,000 illegal alien encounters in May of this year has caused some in Texas and Arizona to refer to the issue as an invasion.

The term invasion in reference to the southern border is not really new as the Attorney General for Arizona came out with a legal opinion on the matter in February of this year. He said:

“The violence and lawlessness at the border caused by transnational cartels and gangs satisfies the definition of an ‘invasion’ under the U.S. Constitution, and Arizona therefore has the power to defend itself from the invasion under the Governor’s authority as Commander-in-Chief. An actual invasion permits the State to engage in defensive actions within its own territory at or near its border.”

Something that former acting Deputy Department of Homeland Security Secretary Ken Cuccinelli not only agrees with, but is urging governors along the southern border to follow suit. Cuccinelli spoke to Fox News about the issue in saying:

“The key here is you’ve got the first legal ruling that the southern border situation is an invasion. One, that’s obviously very significant and two it’s going to – as it should – put enormous pressure on [Texas] Governor Abbott to adopt that position themselves and to respond accordingly.”

Suspects in thwarted mass casualty event were allegedly illegal immigrants that had previously been deported

RICHMOND, VA – A new report is making headlines about the thwarted mass casualty event in Richmond, Virginia that was stopped on the 4th of July.

The new information, according to police, is that the two suspected assailants were illegal aliens…and one of them had been deported multiple times.

Word of the potential mass shooting was overheard by a good Samaritan and thankfully reported to police in time to be able to stop it. Richmond Police Chief Gerald Smith reported at a news conference that the tip saved countless lives:

“One phone call saved numerous lives on the Fourth of July.”

Investigators with the Richmond Police Department, US Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI responded to a residence that the two suspects shared in the 3100 block of Colombia Street. Once at the residence, someone allegedly allowed them to enter where they observed two rifles, a handgun, and 200 rounds of ammunition.

Police arrested the first suspect, Julio Alvarado-Dubon, who was at the residence, for being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm.

The second suspect in the case, Rolman Balacercel, was surveilled until police had enough probable cause to take him into custody. He was also charged with being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm.

While this mass shooting was stopped before it started thanks to someone overhearing a conversation, it should be noted that the two should have never been in the country in the first place.

One of the suspects, Alvarado-Dubon, was in the country from Guatemala on an expired visa.

One of the two, who was not identified, had been deported from the United States several times before the alleged planning of the attack.

If federal authorities were to have enforced current immigration laws, neither of these suspects would have been in the country in the first place, something that Police Chief Smith notes as being “frustrating.”

While the case is still under investigation, it is unknown if there will be more charges coming or if the two will remain in custody. If they are released from custody before any court hearings, hopefully, the authorities will be able to keep tabs on them before they can plan…or carry out an attack.

Chief Smith noted how one person was able to save the lives of countless people who were going to attend the 4th of July celebration.

He said:

“A hero citizen picked up the phone and overheard a conversation there was a mass shooting being planned here in the city of Richmond, Virginia. There’s no telling how many lives this citizen hero saved from one phone call.”

Authorities at this time have yet to determine a motive for the alleged planned attack. Chief Smith said:

“They were planning to actually shoot up our Fourth of July celebration. Okay? We know what their intent is, but we don’t have a motive.”

NBC12 was able to interview one of the people, Stephanie Lynch, who attended the Fourth of July event and is thankful the attack was stopped before it happened. She told them:

“We, any number of my community members, my neighbors, my friends, my family could have been victimized in a mass shooting.”

Republican Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin weighed in on the stopped mass shooting on Twitter by posting:

“I want to thank and applaud the hero in Virginia that stopped a potential massacre by alerting our brave Richmond Police Department Officers that work tirelessly every day to protect our communities. It’s a great reminder that if you see something, say something to your local PD.”
