Editor note: In 2020, we saw a nationwide push to “defund the police”. While we all stood here shaking our heads wondering if these people were serious… they cut billions of dollars in funding for police officers. And as a result, crime has skyrocketed – all while the same politicians who said “you don’t need guns, the government will protect you” continued their attacks on both our police officers and our Second Amendment rights.
And that’s exactly why we’re launching this national crowdfunding campaign as part of our efforts to help “re-fund the police”.
WASHINGTON, DC- Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas is pretty much useless—unless you’re an illegal alien. Then he’s your best ally.
Breitbart reports that Mayorkas, one of the most feckless in an administration full of such people, is looking to end workplace enforcement of immigration laws and help illegals get higher wages from their employers.
Mayorkas, who was born in Cuba and is pro-open borders calls his new “Worksite Enforcement Strategy” as being beneficial to illegals as well as Americans. All of this comes at a time when over one million illegals have entered the country thus far this year, with over two months to go.
We will not tolerate unscrupulous employers who exploit unauthorized workers, conduct illegal activities, or impose unsafe working conditions…By adopting policies that focus on the most unscrupulous employers, we will protect workers as well as legitimate American businesses.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Mayorkas said:
The message is, exploitative employers should beware. Businesses that merely employ [illegal] immigrants not authorized to work but offer them fair wages and safe working conditions wouldn’t be a priority for immigration enforcement.
In other words, the Biden administration intends to violate the laws currently in place, such as the one which bars employment of illegals. Meanwhile the Biden administration is poised to force possibly hundreds of thousands, if not millions of American citizens out of work through forced vaccination mandates placed on businesses.
According to Rob Law, director of regulatory policy for the Center for Immigration Studies, he says that Mayorkas clearly “does not want to enforce that law.”
“Mayorkas actually wants to encourage illegal aliens to get into and remain in the workforce. I think that’s the key thing here: Mayorkas is actually becoming the greatest champion of illegal alien workers. That’s astonishing, that the Secretary of Homeland Security is the greatest advocate for illegal alien workers in this country.”
Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) slammed the administration, which he accused of working in opposition to the law. He said that Biden is trying to “draw as many illegal aliens as possible to the United States.” He said Biden’s policy is a threat to national security, public health, places an undue burden on taxpayers and threatens jobs and wages of Americans.

Breitbart notes that a number of economic studies have shown that large influxes of illegals into the American labor market prevents what is called “tight labor” worker shortages. In fact, the policy being advocated by Mayorkas seems to fly in the face of Biden, who in a May 28 speech indicated he favored a tight labor market:
“Rising wages aren’t’ a bug, they’re a feature. We want to get—we want to get something economists call full employment. Instead of workers competing with each other for jobs that are scarce, we want employees to compete with each other to attract work. We want the—the companies to compete to attract workers.
“Well wait until you see what happens when employers have to compete for workers. Companies like McDonald’s Home Depot, Bank of America, and others—what to they have to do? They have to raise wages to attract workers. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.”
As an example, a series of workplace raids in Mississippi in 2019 removed many illegals while at the same time forcing employers to pay Americans higher wages to take jobs in the chicken-processing sector.
With the exception of former President Donald Trump, much of the establishment policy over the past thirty years or so has been to extract workers, consumers, and renters from poor countries to use in the U.S., while at the same time millions of blue-collar and white-collar Americans have been pushed toward poverty.
However big business and Wall Street fat-cats love the extraction migration policy, which has led to a multi-trillion dollar transfer of wealth.
California saw wages rise just 2.9 percent in 21 years—which works out to 0.1 percent per year, according to the establishment-funded Population Reference bureau, while at the same time, the value of the Dow Jones Industrials rose 100 times faster.
The influx of illegals has also affected housing costs, increasing them exponentially which has caused younger families to once again transfer trillions of dollars of wealth from reduced wages to older and wealthier real estate owners.
Law Enforcement Today has reported on the plan of Democrats to federalize zoning regulations (it’s part of their mega-trillion “infrastructure” plan). What that would in fact accomplish is to further exacerbate young-to-old wealth transfers, as Democrats are trying to convert suburbs into what Breitbart called “a patchwork of small apartments and backyard houses.”
Adding to the issues is the fact that the average lifespan of American males has declined, with many having become unemployed, alienated and addicted as the flood of illegals takes jobs otherwise filled by that demographic. “This is particularly true for American men, for whom drug overdose has increased sharply in the past two years,” according to BMJ, a medical journal reported in 2018.
Mayorkas let the cat out of the bag in October when he admitted that despite the common narrative that the current wave of migrants is fueled by either political persecution or famine, it is really fueled by economic factors in those countries:
“There are many different theories [for migration]. I think that pieces of the many different theories, compiled together, forma very compelling answer: The downturn in economies, the attendant rise in violence, the downturn in economies made more acute by reason of the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic, the suppression of any humanitarian relief over the past number of years, and the pent-up thirst for relief among many different populations. I think an accumulation of [these] factors contributes to the rise in migration that we’ve seen.”
Mayorkas however has allowed these economic migrants to obtain jobs in the U.S. as they await years for asylum courts, inundated especially since January, to address their economic claims for asylum.
Despite the fact that federal law mandates asylum seekers are supposed to be held in detention pending their asylum hearings, that process stopped in 2009 when Obama was president and Mayorkas worked in the Department of Homeland Security.
Mayorkas implemented the new strategy after an announcement in September that he would stop deporting illegal workers as long as they didn’t commit felonies, claiming that foreign workers “make our nation stronger.”
Under the strategy, it states:
We can most effectively protect the American labor market, the conditions of the American worksite, and the dignity of the individual by focusing our worksite enforcement efforts on unscrupulous employers. This is how we will proceed.
By “dignity of the individual,” Mayorkas wasn’t talking about American workers who are being put out of work by his anti-American worker policies.
Mayorkas’s plan also rewards illegals who report exploitative employers by dangling a carrot—US citizenship—to any illegal who reports such an employer.
One would think that this administration’s favoritism of illegals over American workers might enrage some people, but progressive leftists don’t care about that, they just care about getting more Democrat voters. His favoritism toward foreigners over Americans was not lost on Law:
“They’re subjecting American blue collar, hard working, ordinary Americans to a lower standard of living…it is consistent with the progressive disdain for middle America.
They’re using immigration policy to further harm and demoralize ordinary Americans, to make their way of life that much harder, much more expensive, and much more miserable, until they see the progressive light, so to speak.
They put forward token displays of enforcement here or sternly worded statements there, but this is all an orchestrated attempt to further weaken the Americans, Law said.
The administration does all of this despite the fact that illegal immigration is very unpopular due to the economic impact.
How so? Breitbart notes “it damages ordinary Americans’ career opportunities, cuts their wages, raises their rents, curbs their productivity, shrinks their political clout, widens regional wealth gaps, and wrecks their democratic, equality-promoting civic culture.”
The so-called “pocketbook opposition” crosses racial, gender (two), class, and partisan lines, and “recognizes the solidarity Americans owe to each other.”
The Biden administration? They couldn’t care less.
