SANTA ANA, Calif. – A 28-year-old volleyball coach at Century High School in Santa Ana was arrested Tuesday for having sex with several minor students.
Omar Rojas, 28, is also currently employed as a District Safety Officer for the Santa Ana Unified School District. Santa Ana Unified School District Police contacted the Santa Ana Police Department to report allegations that Rojas had sexual intercourse with several students.

Santa Ana Police Department Special Crimes Section Detectives commenced the investigation and concluded that the sex crimes occurred in 2015, according to press information released by the police department.
Rojas was not a district safety officer when these crimes were committed, police said.
On numerous occasions, Rojas would have the victims excused from class in order to meet them for the purposes of engaging in sexual activity on campus. The victims were 17-years-old at the time. They are no longer students at Century High School.
As a result, Rojas was arrested for the allegations.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, he confessed to the crimes. Consequently, he was booked at the Orange County Jail on multiple sexual assault charges. His bail has been set at $1,000,000.

Moreover, SAPD detectives believe there may be additional victims. Hence, they ask anyone with information to contact Detective Nick Vega at 714-245-8368, [email protected] or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
