Good luck getting through this one without a tissue.
A grieving mother received more than just a Christmas gift this year.
Ofc. Sean Tanner, an officer for the China Lake Police Dept. passed away in October, leaving his family to face their first Christmas without him. When Tanner’s mom opened the gift from her daughter, what looked like a cute, stuffed teddy bear dressed as a law enforcement officer turned out to be so much more. When she pressed down on its hand, what she heard made her break down into tears.
It was the voice of her late son.
Garcia’s daughter Brittany wanted to make this year extra special, so she went to Build-a-Bear with an idea in mind. She had the bear dressed up as a police officer, and inside she was able to store a personalized voice message from her brother that had been recorded before he passed.
I am completely overwhelmed by the reaction to the video I posted. The outpouring of love and support is something else and my family is beyond thankful. I posted a moment that happened during our first Christmas without my little brother. I never expected it to go this viral.

“My little brother died in the beginning of October, for Christmas I got my parents a build a bear in a police uniform (he was a cop) with his voice,” Brittany wrote on Twitter.
