What if I told you that if you’re an emergency responder or a military family… there’s now a group providing you with free tickets to bring the kids to concerts, sporting events and other family activities?

It’s true… and we need your help in spreading the word about our new partnership.  Because in 2019, it’s our goal to give away 2.5 MILLION free tickets.

Law Enforcement Today and The Whiskey Patriots solidified our partnership with 1st Tix and Vet Tix on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

It’s incredibly important to our companies to give back to those who serve.  This is just one of the new partnerships we’re launching to help do just that.

1st Tix is a national nonprofit organization that evolved from Vet Tix (Veteran Tickets Foundation) which was created in 2008.  1st Tix provides tickets to events which reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, create positive memories, and encourage first responders to stay engaged with local communities and American life. 1st Tix supports the brave men and women who answer our emergency calls by honoring their service with positive family and life experiences.

The goal?  To demonstrate to those who serve and protect our communities and our country that they are not alone.

Here’s the thing.  Once a year, we’re reminded to say ‘thanks’ to our police officers.  But we wanted to give more than just words and do it every single day.  We wanted to also show our gratitude towards all first responders, our veterans and their families.

Here’s how the program works.  First responders, veterans and all currently serving members of the military can sign for a free membership to 1st Tix or Vet Tix.  Their service/status is verified to ensure they are actually who they say they are.  They then have access to tickets to some of the biggest sporting events, concerts and entertainment venues across the country almost entirely for free.

There’s a nominal delivery fee to receive your free tickets, this in turn fuels the operations team which has been audited at a 95% organization over the past 7 years.  The tickets are donated by everyone from every day Americans, sporting teams, and generous organizations such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, along with smaller theaters and venues across the country.

“Many of our first responders and our veterans have extremely tight budgets at home,” said Captain Robert Greenberg, an active police officer and the Founder of Law Enforcement Today.  “They just don’t have the funds to bring their spouses and kids to see Toby Keith or their favorite sports team.  With this partnership, we’re making that possible.”

While 1st Tix and Vet Tix gladly accept donations of money and of course tickets, one of the big pushes this year is to simply get the word out.

“We owe it to the men and women who keep us safe to do more than just express our gratitude,” said Steven Weintraub, Chief Strategy Officer of 1st Tix and Vet Tix.  “The more people we can tell about this announcement, the more lives we can touch.  It’s a great opportunity to bring families together in a way that isn’t just affordable… but also helps create lasting memories and strengthens the bonds between children and the heroes who are their parents.”

1st Tix, Vet Tix, Free concert tickets

Since 2008 Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) has provided free tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities to the currently-serving military, National Guard and Reserves, veterans of all eras, immediate family of those Killed in Action, and VetTixers’ caregivers. 1stTix launched in 2018 and is powered by Vet Tix to provide the same service to our nation’s current and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs. These events help veterans, and first responders reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build lifelong memories, and encourage service members to stay engaged with American life and their local communities.

Vet Tix a national 501 (C)(3) has provided approximately 6 million free event tickets to more than 1 million members. In 2018 the organization distributed over 1.8 million event tickets.  The nonprofit organization spends over 95 percent back to its programs, giving back to those who have given so much.
