CHICAGO, IL – An Illinois State Trooper got a big surprise when he happened across a “sideshow,” an event promoted on social media where people block off certain streets so drag racers can drive recklessly in the area.
When the Trooper pulled up to the area, a crowd of people began jumping on the hood of his vehicle and began kicking his windshield, causing it to shatter.
Perhaps the worst part is this was not the only time something like this has happened in the Chicago area.

The Illinois State Trooper appeared to be on routine patrol on Division Street when he happened across a crowd of people on July 3rd before 2 am. That’s when he noticed the roadway had been blocked by numerous people.
The Trooper’s dash camera caught several people jumping onto the hood of the patrol vehicle and kicking his windshield, causing it to shatter.
The Trooper called for assistance and the Chicago Police Department sent officers from two nearby police districts to assist. One of the supervisors, according to CWBChicago, reported that the crowd had grown roughly to 300 people who were in attendance. One of the Chicago Police officers could be heard on the video saying:
“Give these bad guys a [expletive] avenue to get out of here. That’s all we can do.”
Thankfully, the Trooper involved did not suffer any serious injuries during the “sideshow” event. Surprisingly, there were no arrests were reported after this event.
In the early morning hours of July 4th, Chicago Police officers were on patrol in the Loop area as another crowd took over Upper Wacker Drive and Columbus Drive for another “sideshow” event.
As officers were attempting to free the intersection, a video shows where someone throws a firework that explodes on the hood of a patrol vehicle.
Chicago Police Department reported the attacks on them escalated as they began getting fireworks thrown at them from members of the crowd.
The Chicago Police Department reported that they did take three Calumet City residents into custody and charged them with felony counts of aggravated assaults on law enforcement officers.

Those arrested, Guillermo Mota, Jr, Jiovanni Arujo, and Yair Cruz-Roman, were taken into custody near Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue. Araujo was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a people officer, two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer, and criminal damage to government property.
Cruz-Roman was charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer and violation of a city ordinance for failure to disperse when ordered to do so by an officer. Mota was charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of reckless conduct.
In another incident of a reported “sideshow,” officers responded to the 4300 block of South Pulaski for a reported disturbance involving a large crowd and drag racing. When officers arrived on the scene, people in the crowd began throwing objects at the police vehicles causing damage.
Chicago’s party and sideshow scene continues to be more radical than its political scene. https://t.co/Gr5BHUHwrO

Another person in the crowd threw an unidentified object at another police vehicle which caused a patrol car window to shatter. The broken glass struck the officer, causing injuries to her head, neck, and body. Thankfully, she was not seriously injured in the incident.
Another Chicago Police officer was injured when someone threw a lit firework into the patrol car he was using when he opened his door. A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department reported the officer involved was injured by shards of glass that landed on his arm and neck. He was treated and released from the scene.
A guy opened fire on police, so they shot him dead. The media is of course gaslighting and screaming “racist killers”.
Another Tragedy Used to Target Police
The biased press, progressive politicians and professional protestors are at it again. In typical fashion they are using the race card, calling cops murderers, and demanding justice for the shooting of Jayland Walker in Akron, Ohio.
According to the latest concoction of racial grievance industry blowhards, Walker was an unarmed DoorDash driver targeted by the police on a traffic stop and subsequently murdered simply for being black.
Although this incident is tragic and complex, it is also simple and about something black. It is complex because Walker had no criminal record, but he recently lost his fiancé to an untimely death and so not surprisingly his mental state was described as being upset and “acting out of character.”
Being in such a troubled state of mind may very well have caused Walker to react towards a common traffic stop in such an uncommon way. And this is where it is very simple and about something black.
While taking police on a high-speed car pursuit, Jayland Walker shot at them with a handgun. This shooting was broadcast over the radio by an officer, a spent shell casing was later found in the area where it occurred, and a loaded magazine and a black handgun were located in Walker’s car.
So, when Walker finally slowed his car down, jumped out running from the officers and then very uncharacteristically turned toward them while making it appear as if he was going for the gun he had just used, the eight officers reacted the way they were trained.
They reasonably believed Walker was going for a gun, they reasonably feared for their lives, and they reasonably used justified deadly force.
During the first six months of 2022, 27 officers were feloniously murdered in the line of duty by a perpetrator using a firearm. Those are 27 reasons why these Akron Officers took Walker’s actions seriously.
Unaware that Walker may have been committing suicide by cop, the police reacted as trained to shoot and stop the deadly threat.
Out in the open with no cover to hide behind and faced with what they believed was an armed suspect about to draw a gun on them, the officers justifiably shot as many rounds as quickly as they could to stop Walker’s deadly threat to them.
Whether the officers shot at Walker 9 times or 90 is irrelevant.
Also irrelevant are comparisons made by the Walker family lawyer to white cop-killers and perpetrators of mass shootings whom the police were able to peacefully arrest without using deadly force.
Law enforcement officers were able to take those white cop-killers and mass shooting suspects into custody without shooting them because they surrendered – just like the five black cop-killers who have been taken into custody during 2022.
As much as the officers’ may have wanted to enact justice on the murderers, they are entrusted to serve and protect, not to exact revenge or commit murder. Shame on anyone trying to make it appear that America’s trusted law enforcement professionals are doing otherwise.
