CBS12 was on scene covering a collision on I-95 near Bridge Road when a black Audi spun out after a truck ran into the back of another car. As a result, the chain collision continued and the Audi hit the trooper.
Consequently, the trooper flew into the air, and other first responders on scene ran towards him after the crash.

FHP says the front end of a Chevrolet Express rear ended the Audi. Therefore, the Audi then spun counter clockwise into the trooper. Subsequently, he flew into the air. Hence, other first responders had to rush to his aid.
Troopers identified the driver of the Chevrolet as 43-year-old Clifford Perry, and the driver of the Audi as 24-year-old Jenna Baxter. According to FHP, 31-year-old Trooper Mithil Patel has serious injuries resulting from the crash.
Patel was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach where he is being treated. Additionally, the person speaking with Patel at the time of the collision was injured and transported to the hospital as well.
Yet, there is no word on charges as the secondary collision remains under investigation according to FHP.
