WASHINGTON D.C. – Newly disclosed text messages by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) suggest that FBI agents involved in investigating President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign purchased professional liability insurance for fear of being exposed and sued.
‘Trump Was Right’: Explosive New FBI Texts Detail Internal Furor Over Handling Of ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ Investigation — Newly disclosed internal FBI notes & text messages detail the extent of the FBI's desire to take down Trump & his associates at any cost.https://t.co/KsHId8YJVD

According to reports, the FBI agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about their potentially illegal behavior that they purchased the liability insurance less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated as president.
The explosive text messages and FBI notes were disclosed in recent federal court filings from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s legal defense team.
The evidence was released after a review of the case by U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Jensen, ordered by Attorney General William Barr.
These new text messages released about Crossfire Hurricane are horrifying.
The FBI knew what they were doing was wrong.
They lied. All of them lied.
We want indictments.

One agent texted back on January 10, 2017:
“We all went and purchased professional liability insurance.”
The other agent responded:
“Holy crap. All the analysts too?”
The agent who initiated the text message said:
“Yep. All the folks at the Agency as well.”
The other agent responded:
“Can I ask who are the most likely litigators? As far as potentially suing y’all?”
The first agent said:
“Haha, who knows…I think the concern when we got it was that there was a big leak at DOJ and the NYT among others was going to do a piece.”
New filing fm @SidneyPowell1 @GenFlynn conclusion- "There's no case against Flynn. no crime. FBI and the prosecutors knew that" @MorningsMaria @FoxBusiness new text messages from Stroyk & Page declassified.
— Maria Bartiromo (@MariaBartiromo) September 24, 2020
The names of the agents responsible for the texts are redacted, however, the legal filing from Powell states that the latest document production included handwritten notes and texts from Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, and FBI analysts who worked on the FBI’s investigation of Flynn.
In the report, agents also said that they were worried about how a new attorney general might view the actions taken against Trump during the investigation.
Allegedly, shortly after then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) was confirmed to be Trump’s new attorney general, congressional Democrats, media, and Obama holdovers within DOJ immediately moved to force Sessions to “recuse” himself from overseeing the department’s investigations against Trump. One agent wrote:
“The new AG might have some questions…then yada yada yada…we all get screwed.”
The FBI agents went on to discuss how the investigations’s leadership was consumed with conspiracy theories rather than actual evidence. One agent wrote:
“I’m telling (sic) man, if this thing ever gets FOIA’d, there are going to be some tough questions asked. And a great deal of those will be related to Brian having a scope way outside the boundaries of logic.”
Another agent texted:
“(Redacted) is one of the worst offenders of the rabbit holes and conspiracy theories. This guy traveled with that guy, who put down 3rd guy as his visa sponsor. 3rd guy lives near a navy base, therefore…”

Powell also pointed to text messages that suggest FBI agents believed that some officials in the bureau were biased in favor of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election in arguing that the case against her client should be dismissed.
Other text messages suggest that FBI agents deliberately kept the case open despite finding no evidence against Flynn. Several texts show that the order to close the criminal investigation against Flynn came as early as November 8, 2016, the same day as the 2016 presidential election. It was later re-opened in early January 2017.

One agent texted:
“We have some loose ends to tie up and we all need to meet to discuss what to do with each case (he said shit down Razor)”
Razor refers to Crossfire Razor, the FBI’s internal code name for the investigation of Flynn. Another agent responded:
“So glad they’re closing Razor.”
Another text reported that:
“People here are scrambling for info to support certain things and it’s a mad house.”
Possibly referring to Trump’s January 3, 2017 tweet saying the FBI was delaying a briefing on alleged Russian interference in the election because it needed more time to “build a case,” another agent said:
“Trump was right.”
The "Intelligence" briefing on so-called "Russian hacking" was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!

Powell reiterated that the FBI’s hideous abuse of power and travesty of justice meant that the DOJ’s request to dismiss the case against Flynn should be granted. Flynn had previously pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, but withdrew his plea after more exculpatory evidence emerged.

Here is another article from Law Enforcement Today about the Flynn case:
WASHINGTON- The outing of the swamp continues. As LET reported earlier this week, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn dismissed, overruling rogue Judge Emmet Sullivan.
More information is being released and none of it looks too good for the Obama administration, when it was revealed Flynn planned on conducting an audit of intelligence agencies, likely leading to his getting set up.
Breitbart News reported that on Thursday, Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell was appearing on Fox Business Channel’s Mornings With Maria. During the interview with host Maria Bartiromo, Powell said that her client (Flynn) had been planning to “audit” U.S. intelligence agencies prior to the setup FBI interview that was used to prosecute him.
A partial transcript follows:
Maria Bartiromo- This is September 2018; we don’t have any evidence of collusion. And yet, they still wanted to take down Trump’s campaign, beginning with General Flynn.
You basically open this up, this is going to be a domino effect, giving us a window into what really took place. Are there other things that have been declassified that the public needs to see to better understand this?
Sidney Powell- There are things that we still don’t have like the original Flynn 302, the original FBI report.
The FBI has not produced that. If Mr. Wray wants to improve anything, I think that would be the first place to start, and then the next draft of it too, because we know there were multiple alternations of it.
But there’s no excuse for not having produced the first draft of the FBI 302…Flynn was going to audit the intel agencies that would have included some of the FBI’s work, as well.
They were all absolutely terrified of an honest person getting in the job of national security advisor and finding out what they all done, in addition to all the other atrocities.
This is actually nothing new. Going back to last November, Powell had alluded to the fact that Flynn planned on investigating the so-called “Deep State.”
At the time, Powell said, “He has been a patriot his entire life, and to be set up and prosecuted the way he has been is just an abomination of justice.”
She continued, “I think it goes all the way to the top of the Obama administration.”
Joining Powell on “Maria Bartiromo’s Insiders” on Fox Business at the time was Lee Smith, who wrote a book called “The Plot Against The President.” Smith also alleged that Flynn was looking at potential misconduct within the U.S. intelligence community.
“In addition to General Flynn’s name being cleared, I hope that his initiative to get to the bottom of what these people were doing—to audit the intelligence community…that’s something else we need to look at again,” Smith continued. “As well, his initiative to clean out the Deep State.”
Smith also alleged that a reported FBI informant, Cambridge professor Stefan Halper had organized meetings with George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign aid, and was paid large sums of money by the Pentagon allegedly to study Russia and China, while in fact he was spying on the Trump campaign.
“I guess he was getting into business that they didn’t want him to get into,” said Bartiromo, referring to Flynn’s interest in the intelligence community.
“Oh exactly,” said Powell. “There’s no telling how many billions of taxpayer dollars they’re running off books for the different intel agencies, particularly James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence in the Obama administration, as well as John Brennan, former director of the CIA, and of course we see evidence of that…with what was paid to Stefan Halper for his shenanigans. It just goes on and on.”
As we reported earlier this week, an Oval Office meeting was held on or about January 5, 2017 attended by Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James Comey, Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, and National Security Advisor Susan Rice.
The subject of that meeting was Flynn and was memorialized in notes compiled by disgraced former FBI agent where it specifically identified Obama as directing the operation against Flynn. The story we reported is below.
During the interview, Bartiromo asked, “So who is the mastermind of all of this? On the government side—was it the CIA? Was it John Brennan? How far up the ladder does this go in the Obama administration?
“Powell responded: “It couldn’t have been done without Susan Rice. And I don’t think it was done without the knowledge of President Obama. It was probably run most by Mr. Brennan and Clapper. And of course, Comey and McCabe had their prominent roles in it, along wit the assorted agents that were involved. But yes, it was a very high-ranking group of people.”
So, by all appearances, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn went through a three year nightmare costing millions of dollars because the swamp rats were afraid of getting outed.

This is huge.
The Federalist is reporting that in newly released notes, confirmation that President Obama played a key role in the take down of Michael Flynn, the incoming Trump administration security adviser is evident.
According to the handwritten notes, which were first disclosed in a court filing made by the Department of Justice on Tuesday, they show that President Obama directed former FBI Director James Comey as well as former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to investigate General Flynn relative to routine telephone communications with his Russian counterpart.
The notes say that Obama also suggested that Comey and Yates withhold information from both President Trump, as well as key national security figures in his administration.
Flynn update – the DOJ has produced more evidence.

The notes, written by disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok appear to be describing a Jan. 5, 2017 meeting in the Oval Office which was attended by Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Comey, Yates and Susan Rice, then-national security adviser.
Rice memorialized the meeting in an email she sent to herself on Jan. 20, 2017, the day President Trump was inaugurated. In fact, in the email she said that Obama directed the operation “be run by the book.” Likewise, Comey said that Obama in fact directed which personnel to use.
Breitbart News reported that the notes were found by U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, Jeff Jensen, who was appointed by Attorney General Bill Barr to look into the FBI’s handling of the investigation into Flynn.
Breitbart noted that the Justice Department had notified Michael Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell on Wednesday of the findings.
The DOJ filed a letter notifying Powell that said:
“This page of notes was taken by former Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok. While the page itself is undated, we believe that the notes were taken in early January 2017, possibly between January 3 and January 5.
Breitbart noted that sources had informed that organization that Powell intended to file a motion to have the notes released. It would then be up to Judge Emmet Sullivan to grant the motion, however given Sullivan’s proclivity for being hostile toward General Flynn, it is doubtful that he would grant the request, since the information is considered exculpatory for Flynn.
The Jan. 5, 2017 meeting, confirmed by both Comey and Yates is where it is alleged that Obama gave direction to certain officials who were tasked with protecting the Obama administration use of opposition campaign research funded by the Clinton campaign, as well as the Democratic National Committee.
That opposition research was to allege that President Trump had been in a plot to collude with Russia to steal the 2016 election. The plan was to prevent the plot from being uncovered, and Michael Flynn was seen as a possible obstacle to the plot being able to receive cover.
Sally Yates told the special counsel that she was told about Flynn’s phone calls by Obama during the Jan. 5 meeting. She continued, “President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia,” she wrote in her email.
The phone calls, which were classified, ultimately were released to a Washington Post reporter, David Ignatius. A number of Obama administration officials had requested the unmasking of a then unknown official, which turned out being Flynn during the final days of the administration, as the transition from Obama to Trump was getting underway.
In addition to Strzok’s notes, other correspondence was discovered which showed that FBI officials had discussed interviewing Flynn, and had an internal debate as to whether the plan was to get him to lie, or admit to violating the Logan Act, an obscure and rarely used 1799 law which bars private citizens from conducting foreign policy on behalf of the United States.
However, as an incoming national security adviser, it would not have been unusual for Flynn to contact the Russian Ambassador, Sergei Kisylak.
Notes from Strzok, as well as another FBI agent Joe Pientka showed that neither agent thought Flynn had lied during their January 24, 2017 interview. Flynn however was charged with lying by special counsel prosecutors, to which Flynn pleaded guilty to under duress, while his son was being threatened with arrest.
The newly uncovered notes, according to The Federalist confirm without a doubt that Obama was “personally directing significant aspects of a criminal investigation into his political enemy’s top foreign policy adviser.” The Federalist provided a rough transcript of the unredacted portion of the notes:
NSA-D-DAG= [Flynn cuts?] Other countries
D-DAG: lean forward on [unclass?]
VP: “Logan Act”
P: These are unusual times
VP: I’ve been on intel cmte for ten years and I never
P: Make sure you look at things + have right people on it
P: Is there anything I shouldn’t be telling transition team?
D: Flynn=> Kislyak calls but appear legit [illegible] Happy New Year. Yeah right
Obama is quoted as saying, “Make sure you look at things and have the right people on it.”
D is believed to stand for Comey, P for Obama, and VP for Biden.
Comey’s description noting the phone calls appear “legit,” which is short for “legitimate” was contained in the notes. The exculpatory has been withheld from Flynn and his defense team, as well as multiple congressional committees, and the American people.
A series of selectively leaked defamatory information about the Trump administration and its members severely hampered the incoming administration and ultimately led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as a special counsel, which proceeded to tie up the country for nearly three years on mindless investigations.
Strzok’s notes explicitly note that Biden is the one who raised the Logan Act, which as said would not apply to Flynn in the first place due to his appointment as NSA. Biden has denied repeatedly knowing anything about the investigation into Flynn.
“I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn,” Biden said on Good Morning America after host George Stephanopoulos asked if he knew about the FBI’s operations in the early part of 2017. He later actually admitted that this statement was false.
They just didn’t receive it BIDEN requested IT!!!! He lied!! “I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn,” Biden said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday

Yates said that Comey had brought up the Logan Act, however Yates said Biden cited it. Rice
The Jan 5, 2017 meeting has been admitted by pretty much all parties involved, and the substance of the meeting which was how to target Flynn for his calls to the Russian ambassador, while also withholding important national security information from the incoming Trump administration.
Attorney General William Barr has commissioned U.S. Attorney John Durham to look into the spying and leaking operation. Durham has yet to issue any indictments or any reports of his findings so far. Barr has promised that if Durham can find evidence that can be prosecuted in court beyond a reasonable doubt, he would see to it that those responsible are held responsible.
Strzok’s handwritten notes were included in a court filing from the Justice Department and were filed under seal by order of Sullivan. Sullivan who clearly appears to have it in for Flynn ordered the documents sealed. When the DOJ moved to dismiss charges against Flynn, he denied the request and actually sought out another judge to submit amicus briefs to say why Flynn should not be released.
It is all for moot now, as a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C. earlier Wednesday directed Sullivan to dismiss all charges against Flynn. The judge who as appointed to submit amicus briefs and act as a “shadow prosecutor” had his appointment vacated.

So the Flynn episode may be over, but it appears that Obama, whom people have been saying went through “eight years without a scandal” may have more to answer for.
