On purpose or “inadvertent mistake?” Easter Bunny hands out condom-filled Easter eggs at elementary school

AUSTIN, TX- One person’s “inadvertent mistake” is another person’s deliberately trying to indoctrinate children. It’s all of course a matter of perspective…and perhaps morals.

The Blaze reports that last week in Austin, a parent dressed up as the Easter Bunny handed out kids to elementary-aged school children at an Austin elementary school. The problem? The eggs had pre-packaged condoms inside.

The incident happened last Thursday at the Gullett Elementary School in the state’s capital city. The parent…who was unnamed…handed out plastic easter eggs to the children. While some did indeed contain candy, others had unopened condoms inside, the school reported.

KTBC said the Austin Independent School District told them school staff asked the parent to leave the premises. The parent then proceeded to hand out condom-filled eggs from a public sidewalk.

That would lead one to believe that the incident was not accidental but rather was done purposely. A statement from the Austin ISD referred to the incident as “incredibly careless and inappropriate.”

Gullett’s principal, Tammy Thompson, sent a letter home to parents and notified them the incident was “not a planned event, nor sanctioned by the school. We have spoken with the parent about the inappropriate nature of their activity.”

The school district further noted they are working with the school district’s police department on possible repercussions against the parent who handed the condoms out to students.

“We are working to review our safety protocols to ensure this does not happen again,” and AISD spokesperson told news outlet KXAN. “It was an incredibly careless and inappropriate action of a parent.”

Following is the letter sent home to parents by Principal Tammy Thompson:

This afternoon during dismissal, a Gullett parent visited campus dressed as the Easter Bunny and handed out plastic eggs. Some of those eggs contained candy, and some students were also given unopened condoms.

Please know that this was not a planned event, nor sanctioned by the school, and we have spoken with the parent about the inappropriate nature of their activity. We value parent participation and always request that you work with campus staff to best support our students.

Now, let’s see how the far-left HuffPo reported the same incident.

“A parent dressed as the Easter Bunny inadvertently handed out colorful eggs stuffed with condoms at an elementary school in Austin last week.” [emphasis added]

“Inadvertently.” That doesn’t seem to jive with the fact that the parent then went off school property and continued to hand out condom-filled Easter Eggs after being asked to leave the school.

One parent tweeted about the incident:

“A parent showed up at my kids’ elementary school dressed as an Easter Bunny during pickup. He handed out eggs, mostly filled with candy. Some with unopened condoms. Not sure this is the Austin weird I signed up for.”

Some parents claimed on a Twitter thread that it was an “innocent error,” per the Houston Chronicle.

Someone claimed the mother had been dressed as the bunny for a “safe-sex” presentation at an area clinic. She kept the costume on and went to school to pick up her child, who attends second grade. After she was mobbed by children, she asked her husband to go home and get more, however he apparently brought back some “bad eggs.”

That of course doesn’t explain the fact that this mother, after being booted off school property, continued handing out condom-filled plastic eggs.

Then, as expected, the leftist outlet attacked Texas attorney general candidate George P. Bush, whom they said “went down a rabbit hole [no pun apparently intended] over the incident, calling it ‘disgusting’ and illegal:”

“Not only is this against the law, it’s disgusting. Radicalized leftist parents & school admins are out of control, attempting to exploit our children while in school. As AG, I’ll hold school districts accountable for their failures to protect our kids.”

Indoctrination or honest mistake? It depends on your perspective.

The following contains editorial content which is the opinion of the author.

DENVER, CO- Last September, PJMedia reported that parents were pulling their children out of public schools, tired of far-left indoctrination of their children, COVID restrictions, and teacher’s union putting themselves before their students.

It showed that between the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years, some 1.45 million children were pulled out of traditional public schools. A development occurring in a Denver school district probably helps explain why.

According to the Daily Caller, Centennial Elementary School plans on participating in something called the “Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action,” taking place from Jan. 31 through Feb. 4, a report from Parents Defending Education said.

The school announced that kindergarteners and first graders would be taught to be “transgender affirming” by “recognizing trans-antagonistic violence” and “queer affirming” so “heteronormative thinking no longer exists. These are five and six-year-old children.

One of the 13 so-called Black Lives Matter Guiding Principles” includes “globalism,” described as the “ability to see how we are impacted or privileged within the black global family.”

Continuing, another “principle” is called “Black Villages,” described as “the disruption of Western nuclear family dynamics and a return to the ‘collective village’ that takes care of each other.”

Yet another piece of man-hating, indoctrinating trash is something called “Black Women,” defined as the “building of women-centered spaces free from sexism, misogyny, and male centeredness.”

The school will also provide a link to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), which includes questions such as “Isn’t teaching BLM teaching politics?”,” “Are all of these topics age-appropriate?” and “I don’t support the BLM organization or all of the BLM movement. How should I talk to my child about it?”

Age appropriate? We can answer that. Children should absolutely not be taught any of this crap. “Transgender affirming?” “Queer affirming?” How are parents supposed to explain this nonsense to five and six-year olds?

Under the answers to the FAQ, they claim that “supporting BLM is not political” because it is not “inherently aligned with a single political party.” [emphasis added] Clearly, there is only one side of the political spectrum that supports this garbage and it ain’t Republicans.

As far as age appropriateness, they make the outlandish and absurd claim that “children ages two to four can internalize racial bias,” while saying that by age 12, “many children become set in their beliefs,” according to documents obtained by Parents Defending Education.

Teaching children morals is the job of their parents, not left-wing teachers, or racist organizations such as Black Lives Matter.

There is also a suggested reading list, including something called “Julian is a Mermaid” about a “straight, white cis woman” that challenges “the reader’s bias and the social norms around gender expression and identity,” or perhaps “A Day of Pride,” which speaks about a pride parade threatened by a “Witch of Shame.”

The elementary school laughably claims it is not promoting BLM as an organization, but will use their resources such as “How to Talk to Young Children about the Black Lives Matter Guiding Principles.” It is unknown if they will also use resources such as YouTube videos showing the violent riots fomented by the organization in the summer of 2020.

The FAQ section links to such classic articles as “Talking About Race” and “Being Antiracist,” which promotes far-left loon Ibram X. Kendi, a CRT hustler, who wrote the forgettable “How to be an Antiracist.” .

Kendi promotes using “new racism” to make up for “past racism.” In other words, he claims it is fine to be racist toward whites since it makes up for past racism against blacks. He’s never addressed the racism faced by other groups, such as Irish and Italians.

“The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination,” Kendi says. “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

See. An unhinged nutjob.

This by the way is the same elementary school which faced criticism in December, where it planned to host a “families of color playground night” which the school district said was requested by black families so they could meet other black families. This is exactly the type of segregation that Dr. Martin Luther King fought and died for, yet here we are.

The December event was the third in a series of such segregated playground nights, with the others occurring on Oct. 13 and Nov. 10 of last year, according to an elementary school calendar and Facebook post obtained by journalist Christopher Rufo.

Parents Defending Education is a concerned parents group fighting against indoctrination in the classroom.

On Dec. 17, the organization filed a federal civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Education for violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution for discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.

The Daily Caller reached out to the Denver Public Schools for comment, but none was received.
