Did ABC News blatantly lie in an article and engage in election interference by demonizing a patriotic mission?

The following content includes editorial comments which is the opinion of the writer.

Nationwide: A second major left leaning news media organization, ABC News, just put out another hit piece article aimed at discrediting an honorable and noble cause to help support the election process and ensure its integrity- One More Mission.

Their misguided, off-base content was designed to completely spread more misinformation in another desperate ploy to paint One More Mission as an agenda driven campaign to control the election process.

Law enforcement, experts hit the polls to monitor for voter fraud and suppression on Election Day

The conspiracy laden ABC News article is representative of the entire Democratic Party concern that the upcoming mid-term elections is going not in their favor. Other left-leaning media outlets recognize this, too, and have turned their political strategy dial switch into ‘desperation mode’.

In fact, ABC News is so desperate, they didn’t even care to take the time go fact check their information they posted in the article. Which is no surprise.

Mistake # 1

When any organization on their heels and their back is to the wall, they’re not going to take the time to worry about details. They’re just going to swing blindly, hoping to connect to something and get back on track.

But ABC News swung and missed- badly.

In their article, they wrote:

“The operation, fueled by false election claims and using recruitment material featuring images of war, has been dubbed ‘One Last Mission’ by Byrne and Flynn, who emerged as leading figures in the effort to overturn the 2020 election.”

Had they taken two seconds to look at the website, they would have clearly seen that it’s One More Mission, Not One Last Mission.

There is a stark difference between another mission and the last mission.

One last mission represents a final push, a hail-Mary, a now or never approach, a we’re going in- but may not come back strategy, or even a kamikaze style attack.

One more mission represents that you’ve proven to have done your duty satisfactorily, so we ask you do it again.

In One More Mission’s case, they are merely asking those who have dedicated their lives to public service and who have taken an oath to their respective profession, to do it once more in a different capacity- to support the election process.

OMM encourages law enforcement officers, veterans, firefighters to serve as poll workers because they have demonstrated their commitment to public service. They are more likely to ensure election integrity, regardless of political affiliation, because they have proven they put service ahead of themselves.

They understand and value one of America’s most precious functions- the election process. So, it only makes sense to encourage first responders for this role.

Mistake # 3

ABC News frequently mentions America Project and how it is behind the OMM campaign. ABC News painted America Project as the puppet handler for OMM.

But this has already been addressed in another LET response to another liberal news article. Again, had ABC News took a second to do some homework, they wouldn’t have made the mistake.

Kyle Reyes, the coordinator of OMM and CEO of The Silent Partner Marketing had already addressed this in a previous article.

In it, he said:

“The America Project simply helped us by making the website, a service which we would have gladly accepted from any organization – left or right.”

The bright side of their mistake is that it reduces their credibility and proves what the rest of the country has been noticing more and more- liberal media outlets are desperate and willing to lie to get their way.

OMM only wants what is fair – a clean election and nothing else.

Mistake # 3

ABC News frequently mentions retired Gen. Flynn and his connection to America Project. Furthermore, they used the America Project as the foundation for their entire article.

Reyes previously addressed this, too. He stated:

“General Flynn has no involvement in this.”

It’s a simple, factual, and clear message that ABC News totally missed. Now you see the connection between a complete lack of journalistic integrity and a desperate liberal media.

Mistake # 4

ABC News failed to mention the promotional video found on One More Mission’s website.

The promotional video highlights members from the first responder community; service members, firefighters and law enforcement. The purpose of the video is so that it relates to the first responder community to encourage them to serve their community one more time- hence the name of the website.

There is nothing political about it, it’s non-threatening and gives viewers insight into the simple, yet important Democratic function that is the elections.

The mistake by ABC News is failing to cite anything from the direct source, the One More Mission website.

In their defense, however, perhaps they are just setting the stage for providing an excuse as to why the Democrat party took such a huge blow from the mid-term elections. Because that’s what losers do- they find excuses why they lost instead of pursuing ideas on how to win.

Reyes’ message to the ABC News writer is the same as the message to the previous writer who wrote a slanderous piece about OMM.

And that is:

“I challenge the ABC News writer [Will Steakin] to a public debate so he can try and justify his failed reporting.  Granted, a business guy like me might not be able to compete with a soy latte-fueled, skinny jean-wearing internet troll with an underwater basket weaving degree… but I’m willing to come out and play.

With that said, I won’t hold my breath.  Petulant children like this hide behind their computer because they’re not man enough to actually go nose to nose and defend their lies.

But if he ever does decide to wipe those Doritos stains off his undershirt, put on some pants and come out of the basement… he might also want to try spending a day with the actual men and women who put on a uniform every day to keep whiny little snowflakes like him safe – regardless of political affiliation.”

LET awaits a response.

Did ABC News blatantly lie in an article and engage in election interference by demonizing a patriotic mission?

The commentary in this editorial is brought to you by a staff writer for Law Enforcement Today.

A liberal journalist for the left-leaning news organization Yahoo News just published an article that included some wild, inaccurate and poorly researched claims about a new honorable cause that’s designed to protect one of America’s most sacred elements of Democracy- the election process.

The hastily written piece was designed to confuse readers and painted the veteran and first responder community as violent and fueled by hatred.  But of course that’s what happens when you have a chronically underemployed keyboard warrior driven by an agenda as opposed to something called “journalistic integrity”.

He couldn’t have been more wrong, more irresponsible, or frankly more of an embarrassment to any publication that’s ever allowed him to publish an “article” in a desperate plea for attention.

Veterans and the first responder community are among the most patriotic people in the country who value the democratic system regardless of political affiliation. The campaign he attempted to slam and slander is known as One More Mission (OMM) – and it’s something that our team at Law Enforcement Today is proud to be partners on.

One More Mission only wants to help protect the election process by filling empty poll worker positions with people who already demonstrating an incredible amount to service to our communities and to America herself.

But the kookie Yahoo News writer was too quick to vilify One More Mission. The writer, Will Sommer, executed his mission sloppily, failed to do the proper research and came across as desperate and unwilling to consider facts.

In fairness, it’s par for the course given his track record.

In fact, the article is demonstrative to the current liberal agenda that’s been plaguing the mainstream media in recent months. Democrats everywhere know their backs are to the wall and are potentially facing a huge blow come next month’s election. As any wild animal would do with their back to the wall, they try to strike back by any means necessary.

Political hit pieces typically include low-blows, outrageous claims and outright lies.

As was the case with Sommer’s slanderous piece.

Sommer’s first mistake came in early. He wrote (and Yahoo News approved) that retired General Flynn, former Trump national security adviser, who they labeled as an election denier, is behind One More Mission- which is entirely false.

It must be nice to lie however you want.

The coordinator of One More Mission is our very own Executive Director – who is also the CEO of The Silent Partner Marketing, Kyle Reyes.

He stated:

“General Flynn has no involvement in this.”

He continued:

“Had this ‘reporter’ surfaced from his daddy’s basement long enough to pick up the phone and do the very basics required of an actual journalist…  had he bothered simply reaching out to me… he would have realized he was entirely wrong.

But instead, he launched a slanderous hit piece on conservatives showing that they [Yahoo news and their writers] are nothing but left-wing hacks..

The grand irony, of course, is that he did acknowledge that we are non-partisan in this effort to get BOTH Democrats and Republicans to come out and work the polls – and yet he’s actively engaging in his own election interference.”

The article also tried to tie in the America Project by projecting OMM as having a dangerous and threatening agenda.

In the response by Reyes, he stated:

“The America Project simply helped us by making the website, a service which we would have gladly accepted from any organization – left or right.”

The slanderous article then went on to try to convince readers that OMM is trying to only recruit police and veterans. They appear to imply that police and veterans, who must use force as part of the occupation, may bring that same attitude to poll locations.

Sommer failed to mention (as expected) that the OMM’s promotional video included equal part police, veteran, EMT and firefighters.

These are the professions that fall under public service and who are most likely to be passionate about protecting the election process, regardless of political affiliation.

Yahoo News likes their readers to believe that OMM is about recruiting thugs who intend on intimidating voters at polling station. But his article still reeks of the desperation that is currently plaguing the entire Democratic party.

The liberal agenda continues to prove they’re scared by trying to create excitement and controversy within the Republican party when there really is none.

The article also referenced information from the Daily Beast, a known liberal media organization (despite their claims of independent news reporting). By referencing the Daily Beast, Sommer further wanted to discredit OMM.

The Daily Beast wants to distract, disrupt, and destroy a noble cause like One More Mission with salacious allegations and references to conspiracy theories.

In fact, the Daily Beast has their own interesting people at the helm of their organization. According to a WikiLeaks twitter post, Chelsea Clinton of the monumental liberal family, is on the board of the Daily Beast.

Sommer’s Yahoo piece failed to deliver credible, mind-changing information and at its core, only confused people.

In fact, Reyes and OMM want to help Yahoo News and Sommer by clearing up some false information- which they can use.

In a statement to LET by Reyes, he said:

“I challenge him [Sommer] to a public debate so he can try and justify his failed reporting.

Reyes is passionate about OMM’s mission but not from a partisan approach, but as an approach to preserving a critical and necessary American procedure that is the elections.

How can people be at odds with denouncing an organization wanting to protect the election process?

No one- except desperate reporters who are taking blind haymakers because their backs are to the wall. The liberal community knows that things are about to change… and it scares the hell out of them.
